Kind of looks like the crowds still are not making it to the NASCAR races. At start time in Daytona looks like the stands are only half full. I love it "You Reap What You Sow"

Tried to do some riding today but ended up dodging the rain so we came home. Was from 84 to 94 degrees according to where we were with the rain.

The key being on too long before you start it? I know there can be some problems if you wait to long to start the SS.

I have a ton of tools, 1/2 inch drive and 3/8 SAE and all kinds of other things, but I have been trying to put together a small box of tools of just the tools I may need to work on my Slingshot - I just like the idea of having one box I can grab and knowing what I will need will be in there
So anyway here is what I have separated to go in my Slingshot tool box. I am thinking its pretty complete, but if I am missing something I will need please let me know
3/8 ratchet, breaker bar & torque wrench with 3 inch and 6 inch extensions.
3/8 drive 6 point metric sockets 10mm through 19mm in both normal sockets and deep sockets, a 5/8 spark plug socket & 32mm oil filter socket
3/8 drive T20, T25, T30 & T40 torx bits
metric combination wrench set 6mm through 18mm
allen wrench set 1.5mm through 10mm
crescent wrench, channel locks wire cutter wire stripper & long nose
snap-on flat head & philips head screwdrivers & a tape measureThese tools are only intended for day to day maintenance and installing mods - I have no intention of attempting big jobs like tearing down the motor or other jobs that require specialized tools - I will leave those things to the dealer
So, keeping that in mind, what am I missing?
That is just about everything that I carry, but in 1/4 inch drive. Short wrenches in standard and metric up to around 5/8 inch. Also the allen and star bits to fit the 1/4 inch drive with the short and 4 inch extension. It all fits in the Ace Hardware water proof box that is about 2 x 5 x 8 inch. The smaller box has a few electrical items in it. The boxes fit perfect on the pass. side storage in the step down or just put you a piece of the tool box liner under the pass. seat and the boxes fit under the seat without sliding around. Also you do not need the torque wrench, a short pull handle to replace that. The boxes are sold at Ace Hardware as a pair the smaller box inside of the larger box. You will be surprised how much will fit in them if you do not carry full size tools. I also carry the small Slime compressor and the tire plug kit under the pass. roll bar.

Guys all over the place.. so he likes or dislikes? I think he’s screwing with everyone making you think WTF???
Would like to read his thoughts on a Vespa???
Does not look like he knows the price of the SS either. So he is spreading misinformation also.

Smith & Wesson M & P Series, Glocks were to big for my small hands and the M & P's with the adjustable back strap had just came out. So now I think I have one of each, except in the revolvers and I carry the 9C every day.

Anyone else interested on that weekend let me know. It does not have to be that area just as long I am riding.
-
Either that weekend or the following 27-28To early for me to confirm 100%
@Sling Cat will most likely be in as wellLooks like I will be going up on the weekend of the 14 by myself and then wait to see which weekend that the rest of you decide on. I will be in on that one also.

We have an independent agent here looking for cheaper rates and she can not find anyone to insure the SS. I have State Farm myself

I've heard from Blake at the 1/2 mile challenge and he is open to allowing us to do our Slingshot Challenge. That's great news. I have asked Jeff Arean aka @Joker to get back in touch with Polaris and see what sort of commitment they are willing to throw at us..... so they originally seemed open to doing so sort of race involvement..... I'll keep my fingers crossed. But at least it is moving forward and Ill keep you guys updated since so many of you seem to be anti-Facebook
Got better things to do than play on facebook. LIKE RIDE! This forum is more than enough. (B.S.)

@MACAWS I see that you will be back on the 14. Do you still plan on the 20-22 for a little the ride in the HILLS? And Where?

Now a days "calling" is a foreign concept, I know that personally I don't have the time nor patience to play phone tag with answering machines/systems.
A phone call takes several minutes where a text/email takes seconds.A business who can't promptly answer emails or text is a business most people avoid now a days, the only phone calls I do/pickup are work related conference calls.
I am just opposite, if you can not answer the phone you will not have my business. I do not talk to machines.

How about the 3.6 v6 that GM uses in the Camaro? Over 300 horses to start, lots of hop up parts for it and easy to get. GM 3.6 Liter V6 LFX Engine Info, Power, Specs, Wiki | GM Authority
It does not sound like a V-8

As long as it doesn't have boost.... me no worry.
MAYBE, It has a driver that likes crooked roads, then you would lose.

Why don't you just install one of the small volt meters and have a readout all of the time. Size is about 3/4 wide by 1 1/4 inch long, they are on E-Bay and Amazon. Easy to install about any where you want and what I remember about $ 5. They also have them to plug into the Assy. plug. if it happens to be where you can see it.

A little more info on the the little Buick 215 Alum. engine from 1961. Rover did use the casting up until a few years ago. It was also used in the Indy 500 by Mickey Thompson in 1962.
-
How about the little Buick Alum.V-8 from around 1964. Land Rover according to the Hot Rod magazine produced it up till a few years ago. Performance parts are also available for it.

I've had some, radio, tech guys look at my one and they say, it's a problem with the radio re booting.
Polaris must be aware, of how it is happening, by now, as too many radios have this problem. Unfortunately, it re boots to the US standard settings, all the time, so is no dam good and therefore, NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, in Europe.I have already had mine changed under warranty, also @Summer Breeze had his changed last week

I just ordered another Riken Raptor for the rear while I can still get it.
