Anyone on this forum live in or near Corona, CA? I'm flying out there for a business trip the last week of June, and I'd love to meet up for a beer or something.

I checked the map to see how far away the SlingMods shop was (@SlingMods_Josh, @slingking) but it's like 2 hours away, and I think I'm going to be working full days while I'm out there. I would have loved to come see you guys!

I'm sure they'd love to see you. I work with them remotely from Oregon. :D If you make your way a bit further north, my door is open. :)

    Hello Everyone. :)

We've teamed up with Assault Industries to bring you the perfect billet shift knob!

Not only is it very stylish, but it's functional too. No more trying to figure out where to store that bulky registration and insurance card. Just fold it about 5 times and toss it in the new stash spot!

Already have a place for your insurance and registration? Even better! That just means you have more room to stash other things. Hmmm....Did the Wife or husband put the kibosh on spending more money on the slingshot? No problem. Just don't report that overtime money, fold it up and stash it in the knob. Folded tightly, I bet you could fit 500 bucks in 20's inside this handy dandy little spot. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone else, but you have to turn the cap clockwise to open it.

I'm thinking about buying one for my friend who is a diabetic. He starts having a problem with his blood sugar and BOOM, instant jelly bean stash! I just saved a life. :)

As you can see, the possibilities are endless. If you'd like to buy one of these pretty billet knobs, they're on sale right now! Just use code STEALTH10 at checkout for 10% OFF.

Dee, so ya' know, Crystal & Paul lived here in Las Cruces for a couple years before she went into the Navy & she really learned to love the fantastic Mexican food we have here in this area. Trust me, you have totally made her day! That 3rd text from her is the first that I have ever seen her send with 3 exclamation points...:00008698:

(I tried texting her back but no reply - she was GONE!!! Off in search of lettuce & tomatoes I'm sure... :00000156: )

What a brilliant package! I would never have thought of that! :00008862: You're a doll - thanks again!!!

Probably too late to see the finished product when she's done making it? :D

For those of you contemplating the installation of the Heat Control Kit, don't be like me! Let me set the scene for you. Wifey and I were recently out riding around in the SS, when she started to complain (not the whiney type) about the heat on her feet. Being the dutiful husband, I cut the ride short and made tracks for home. I jump on the forum, went to SLINGSHOT ONLY, and immediately ordered the Heat Control Kit. Well within 72-hours, the kit arrived. Like a kid at Christmas, I ripped open the box and marveled at all the "shiny stuff"...next best thing to chrome!! I digress. Before heading out to the Sling, I went to Sling Mods to view the installation video. @slingking, you make a killer install video!! Armed with the knowledge, I grabbed the first piece (passenger-side forward firewall) and headed out to the garage. This is where it gets good...sorta'. Upon opening the hood, I was immediately reminded that we had purchased the 2016.5 Slingshot SL! Those who are not familiar with the difference, the 2016.5 has a muffler (exhaust) shroud already install. It is the standoff type...meaning it is installed around the muffler, not ON the muffler. This seriously restricts the placement of the aforementioned first piece. If you have ever seen the passenger-side firewall piece of the Heat Control kit, you will notice the two devices mounted at the lower portion of the shield. This is what you would use to anchor the lower potion of the shield to the rolled frame with the included hose clamps. Guess what? Remember the muffler shroud I was talking about? The lower part or said shroud is already installed in the exact area needed to install the heat shield!! Baffled, I came back in the house, jumped back on the computer, and pulled up the website. Right there in the description of the product...Fitment: Polaris® Slingshot™ 2015-16 SL/LE. No mention of the 2016.5. Go figure!!
No need to press the panic button yet. Simple solution...unscrew and remove the securing devices on the shield. Move them horizontally outward to clear the muffler shroud securing devices. Don't forget to take some of the included reflective tape and cover the holes from where you removed the securing devices. Problem solved!!! Of course, this install will have to what until tomorrow, now. I have a few other things to get done before work tomorrow. Plus I need to try to find a lift for the Sling.
I know that some of you are saying "John, since there's already a heat control kit on the 2016.5, why are you installing more?" One word...WIFEY! 'nuf said!
    Pics when I'm done!!!!!

Thanks V-SHOT the kid words are much appreciated! :)

    Good morning everyone. :)

For those of you that follow our youTube channel, you've likely already seen these videos. We just finished up the final video regarding the NRG 2.5 gen quick release (the different NRG quick releases function the same way.)

I figured this information would be helpful for those interested in changing their steering wheel. The first video just covers removal of the steering wheel.

The second video covers installation of our Assault Hub Adapter and Assauld D-shaped flat bottom steering wheel.

The third video is the addition of the NRG 2.5 gen Quick Release between the Assault Hub Adapter and Assault Steering Wheel. There have been several questions from folks about whether or not the NRG quick release will work with the assault set-up. There's no better way to answer that question, than to show you firsthand. With that said, here you go. :)
