I'm in for the QuickJack BL-5000SLX @Bill Martin.
Hell, you folks knew I was gonna sign up...
That's why you all are still standin' around.
Picked up my "NUT COVER" from the paint shop today. Installing tomorrow.
Took my "NUT COVER" out to the "paint shop" today...
Tomorrow, I will probably take it over to the "sanding shop"...
And then back over to the "paint shop".
Hope @Guardian_Angel doesn't go out to clean up "the shops", can't find anything in the garage when she does that.
@av8ingtom
Your nut cover paint turned out nice... Can't wait to see pics of the install. Want to use my "installation shop"? j/k
This reminds me of the Tulsa Tall windshield for the Goldwing. Worked very well, but you learned quickly how to mount and dismount... that one crack across the bridge of the nose was enough.
I personally don't like looking through acrylic or lexan... too many distortions from manufacturing process.
Like the average Joe and start up companies, funds. I would like to try venting at the lower portions of the windshield... two possibly three closeable vents.
But before cutting, I would have to invest the time to do some wool tuft testing to visibly see the airflow across the hood and windscreen.
Maybe I should retire so I could just do "stuff" all day...
It's possible a radio power feed has chaffed.
But, the last hands on work was recalls. Check battery cables including the battery ground to frame bolt for looseness. Then look at the harnessess around the master cylinder and lower end of the steering column, they could have nicked a wire. In the radius areas that a wrench could have pinched a wire.
Seems everyone has something in common...
All of you are giving your nut covers a bubblebath as soon as you get them.
I don't know your sequence of events. That would be detective work by you. How does the radio play in with the time of recall? You obviously have a circuit grounding out. Something is going to ground. If you didn't have a problem before the recall work, then something got scuffed or pinched during the work. What recall work did you have done? This will give you a place to start. I would stop operation til the problem is located. You don't want to fry a wiring harness or worse. With more info we as a group may be able to help you out. Do contact your dealer to get the ball rolling toward repair and their recommendation for further operation.
Too dark....
So, am I talking about @kenny_h, the Slingshot, or the pic overall...
only "The Shadow" knows.
Yep, mine is a little noisier, too, I attribute it to all that newness back there. Bearings seating in, spacer shaft mushrooming, grease spreading out. Belt is tracking correctly and clean. Belt has around one inch of deflection, not banjo tight like some folks have gotten. From what I have read from a few, makes em think bearing failure.
And @SlingJockey, that belt should be tracking toward the left side of the rear pulley.
From the manual...
6. Rear wheel alignment is satisfactory when the drive
belt tracks closer to the inboard driven sprocket
flange. Sprocket teeth should still be visible from both
sides of the drive belt.
7. Verify rear wheel rotates smoothly and freely without
drag.
8. If the drive belt is too far inboard, the belt will make
noise during deceleration. If drive belt is too far
outboard, the belt will make noise during acceleration
or while under load.
Hate that flood stuff... It's like a snake... don't know it's there until it's all up on you.
Be smart and stay safe...
I am a procrastinator with a fear of commitment...
Sometimes indecisive...
And Maggie Valley soon...
I don't work well under pressure...
This needs more research...
That pushes all my buttons...
Sure could use one....
But.....
now that's an interesting thought too, do you mean mid height instead of lower spoiler or in addition to lower one ?
Sorry, at work. Do away with the lower spoiler. Will try to throw something out there at a later time even if it is a simple doodle.
And as a consumer, would prefer it in a three or four piece offering. Don't want to buy one massive piece if I scuff the left front....
Guess I will be the odd man out... Too much front end... Still the same problems with ramps, parking curbs, small animals...
I like the open wheel look... Would like to see a round or squared out lower nose with maybe half spoilers about mid height of tire or just slightly lower...
Yep, that's a world of chit... Stay safe.
Somebody's toilet back up?
I took a cigar box sound hole cover, painted it ground it down a bit and installed with stereo bezel.

Holy chit! What happens if you get serious?

So new toy showed (not to be confused with @mytoy)
Machine showed filthy & 2 1/2 hours after there "be there in 40 min" call. I was pretty pissed in condition machine was delivered called & they waived $73 shipping fee . Still I detailed Tractor for over an hour. Installed bagger & here's outcome...

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, why was mine the only Slingshot at the Leesburg Bikefest this past Saturday?
Oh! Oh-ohhhh! Ohhhhh! I got this one!
If you notify me of the event after the event... you are my excuse.
So, what did I win? Huh? Huh-huh? What?
j/k
Hope you two had a blast!
