I emailed you back Adam but will respond here also. I have had 2 Slings with the welter duals in the shop. The first one was fine but I am guessing it was the 2". I did not check the size. The other Sling we have in the shop currently does have the 2.5" and we did have to clearance the pipe running past the brace to make it fit. I have brought this up to the fab guys to see if we can modify the brace for the next run.

Kyle D - I think you may find it hard to clear some of those exhausts from Welter as the fitment of the Welter rear exhaust has changed several times during production along with the way that the exhaust mounts in the back. So your design might be able to fit some 2.5" Welters and not clear others.

That is quite a diverse collection of vehicles, stopping for gas must be crazy, it's hard enough here with just one slingshot the questions we get while filling up, let alone with those 3 at one place!

Really want to get out and drive one of those T-rex's, seem like they could be fun.

Glad you could get out and ride! Stay safe out there!

Dave@DDMWorks can you speak to how your latest tune(s) work with the Pedal Commander/Pedal Max products? When you talk about throttle body/pedal correlation it makes me wonder if one negates the need, or effectiveness of the other. Or,once you have the tune, does the Pedal Commander still work as advertised, speeding up the opening of the throttle body with the inherent benefits of both?

The pedal commander and Pedalmax both kinda do the same thing, just in different ways, but basically they just skew the pedal position signal to the ECM and then the ECM opens the throttle based on the lookup table in the tune. Either of them are going to work with a turbo or supercharger, but since there is no power gained by installing either of those devices, I am not sure why you would want to do it on either boosted application. Like Ghost mentioned, for drag racing or something of the like, limited resolution of the throttle may work out to be faster, but when going around turns and trying to modulate the power a more linear power response with greater resolution offers the best way of controlling the power to the rear wheel. So, to hopefully answer your question, the pedal commander and pedalmax will both still work as advertised on one of our tuned ECM's, although since the throttle tables in our tunes are more linear, the response with the pedal commander and pedalmax should be more linear also.

    Hope that helps,

    Dave

We have tested the 100mm quite a bit and we have a lot of track time with that setup on our Slingshot.

Here is a video of the 100mm at Roebling road with Zach driving it a couple years ago -

We keep spending a lot of time on the drivability of the tunes, once the main full throttle power is dialed in for timing and fueling, the drivability part of the tune is where most people really tell the difference. There was a lot of time spent over the last year on the throttle pedal to throttle body correlation and making changes to smooth those transitions and make everything smooth and as OEM feeling as we can, although I am sure we will keep working on it and making it better every year, its what we do :)

All that being said, the 95mm cam setup is my absolute favorite setup for our Slingshot, really smooth power that just keeps pulling all the way to redline. If we had to chose just one setup, that would be it for sure.

Let me know if you have any questions about it,

    Dave

Don’t forget Polaris has been building there own engines for years in all there other vehicles, OHV’s, Victory bike engines, Indian bike engines high performance off roaders, etc. The Razr is built for abuse and seems to be doing well with a 200hp turbo engine in it. I don’t think this is a stretch for them.

Yeap, and this engine has been out in the real world testing for almost 3 years now from what we were told. They were actually going to introduce it last year, but had some supplier issues, which gave them another year of testing on that engine. We are pretty confident it will hold up to superchargers and turbos also from a couple little birdies we have talked with  Our 2020 is on the way here as I type this and we will for sure see what the engine will take

Lol no worries! The only thing you can’t trust this forum for is saving you money! Quick question, i’ve noticed that some Exhausts have the side WP decals in red/white on the tips while others (like yours) do not. Do they come with the decals included in the package as optional ? Would really like to add the decals on the tips. See this pic

Depending on the age of the exhaust, some have the "WP" logo and the newer sets have a twist logo sticker.

Dave@DDMWorks did you build these so that the adjustments can go at the top for the front, so we can adjust them a bit easier?

The 3 way coilovers could not be installed inverted because the springs interfere with the installation, I didn't try inverting these, but it might work as the lower mounts are slightly different on the 4 ways, I will try that out. Also, I have an email coming your way later today ;)

Well there you go Dave@DDMWorks . Giving us another mod to spend our money. They sure do look nice. I would like to check them out the next time we see you with your sling. If you need anyone to test them out down here on the rough ass roads feel free to send them here and I will show them off for you.

With these coil overs giving us all the adjustments kinda reminds me of all the selections I have on the dirt late model.

The amount of adjustment on those trailing arms is amazing with that lower front mount being adjustable and also having an adjustable mount.
