Great advice wokka , makes a lot of sense. It was great meeting you as well,no worries on you being to busy to chat.We will have another opportunity in he near future like Maggie Valley next year.

Ain't gonna happen with him Ej, we showed him around Dave's shop and he saw my sling in pieces, he already has the itch I think.

My head is still spinning of all the things you can do to a Sling, what you wokka , Dave and Chris Slopoke have done to y'alls is overwhelming. When I do get one, I do have a few mods in mind I got from hanging with y'all that day.I love the quick release steering wheel, key less ignition and locking gas cap just to name a few.So I guess you can say have an inch...LOL

Welcome to the "World of Slingshot Insanity"....take your time enjoying your new ride before going to crazy with 'mods'.

Thanks EjFord. It gets crazier. Got all my ducks in a row as far as property tax and insurance, bless pete, the Sling I was looking at got sold.Back to the drawing board I guess.

    SC Slinger ,

If you don’t mind me asking, which Allstate agency did you purchase your policy from? Is it in our local area? Anderson/Belton?

    Thanks

SlingSC Rick Bridwell on main street Anderson.I have not got the policy yet with him since I have not bought the Sling just yet. It's 4 hours away and gotta get a day to go look at it.But the $442.00 a year is a confirmed quote from them.If they quote you a higher rate please let me know....

What a day...Me and the wife called several of these agencies y'all provided. It was so helpful and I can not think y'all enough for the info and advice.

Ended up with Allstate at $442.00 a year.

Thanks again everyone...I would not have went any further with this without y'alls help.Hopefully soon I will be able to contribute to the forum rather than take.

Thank you all for the replies and info..I will be on the phone a lot today looks like...LOL

Y'all help me sleep last night for sure, was blown away the FB would not insure it and Progressive was an insane rate.Good to know if I shop around I should be able to afford insurance on it.

Very few of the insurance companies will insure the Slingshot. And some companies will in one state and not in another. My policy with Dan (Texas) is a stand alone policy.

I'll be fine with that if it's a good rate for the right coverage.I am happy with FB other than what they did today.I am willing to change and bundle if need be as well.

Everyone has been so helpful tonight,so much info. and picking my spirits back up to go get this thing.

Interesting. Farm Bureau of Tennessee does cover mine. It’s about $143 every 6 months. I have a ‘16 Ram 2500, ‘17 Mazda 3, ‘16 Denali travel trailer plus the Sling. I also have the house covered by FB.

My agent here never even heard about a Slingshot. So he called HQ and they told him not to insure it.I have 14 Jeep Grand Cherokee,19 Ram Limited and my home over 17 years with them.Never thought I would be buying something that they would not insure.

Stop by your local State Farm agent and have them give you a quote for all your policies, their combined price will be cheaper than everyone else out there as long as you have a clean record and good credit score.

My Slingshot policy is $349 a year with 100/300/100 coverage(tow and rental in there too) and $250 deductible

The main thing about state farm is that without bundling their prices are higher than everyone else but once you apply the multi line/car discount it gets cheaper quick.

They are on my list to call.Looks like I am going to have to drop Farm Bureau since I have two autos and home with them and most likely who ever I go with will be better like you said with a bundle.Thank you for your info....I am happy I am seeing some reasonable rates on here.Broke my heart about the insurance deal after I have a good deal pending on a Sling.

Even though Randy Frye is in Bristol Va, he has covered allot of people in Tennessee and other places. Google Frye Insurance and give him a call. I've sent allot of people his way and they all have been pleased. He is a customer of mine and has been for close to ten years.

Awesome!! Will do and thank you.

It's at Frye Insurance in Bristol Va. Can't remember who they got me. I'll look when I go down in the shop.

Thank you so much.Getting a good list together from here to do some shopping. Thanks again everyone,so helpful.

I pay $450 a year for full coverage on a stand alone policy where the Sling is the only thing covered. I went through that same crap when I got mine. Shop around shop around.

May I ask who your policy is with?? Doing some serious shopping tomorrow...Thanks

Thanks for the number and info....
