YES! 1600 miles from WV to Cape Coral by myself. Some of the worst rainstorms on the east coast in decades. Blinded by driving rain several times (no where to get off the HW and could not see an exit if there was one). I made the mistake that driving a SS in the rain is close to a motorcycle - it is not! The worst part is that I had a Madstad in Cape Coral and forgot it.
Glad you made it safe and sound. Did you get any breather moments or was it down pouring the entire time?

@WraithSS thanks for the offer. As well, as I surf through this website, I'm finding more SS members in my area! Who would have known??? I hope to reach out to all of them soon. Maybe a little get together to swop some ideas!!!
Sounds like a plan. The group we have here is amazing. We all are willing to help one another.

Tha'ts Jeff Charon...he doesn't do a lot of online stuff, but he and I live a few miles apart. He designed the CAI I have on mine. Heck of a guy. He also has an awesome quick release luggage rack that he builds and sells.
Is the luggage rack on the back by the roll hoops are under the tail?

9 miles...it took 9 miles for me to park the SS, get in my car and head down to my dealership and buy the factory windshield. I have been riding with the factory windshield since. Well that is until Saturday when my Madstad 9" gets in!
Another one of the converted.....awesome! All praise the Madstads.

well today has gone to shit already. Have to dig up the access ports for the septic tank!
Damn screen is clogged.Last time the pump truck almost ran me over. I'll post the story later with pics if I have them. Can prove Shit rolls down hill!
Seems like you just can't catch a break lately. Lost a canard, ECU issues, and now the s#!t is hitting the fan. At least problems always come in threes. Things should start looking up.

@WraithSS you come home in a week? That in itself is great news. I have a feeling Lucas will setup more track days.
Oh yeah buddy! I'll be back home riding and wrenching on May 1.
-
Oh yes. It's a serious weekend approaching.
Just keep rubbing it in why don't ya?! LOL. You bringing your drone to the track day? Please get lots of pics/videos guys.

Yes, I'm here. Heading up to meet @Tango tomorrow. He's finally letting me tag along for one of his secret CIA missions.
You lucky mf'er!

Do I ask dare what "reasonably priced" is???
If my memory serves correctly it was around $700 for single adjustable and $900 for dual adjustable. Could use some of the $500 you just saved from the wheels.

We gotta pull in @jaytee
I vote for a ride, at some point we need to put the wrenches down and ride these things!!
I will throw out a couple proposed dates once I have an opportunity to sit down and look at a calendar...
OK mister you need to get right out of my head....added him at the same time you posted.

@WraithSS YES sir, they cut them from a block all spect out...sure will!
Oh, please don't call me sir....Look forward to seeing the new shoes on your Slingshot. You running aftermarket suspension or stock?
-
And for those that missed it, I will be in my own NEW sling for track day.
That is awesome news! Hate to miss the track day with you guys. If it could have only been one weekend later
-
That would be a negative. If you had an iPhone that would be a different story.

Ordered the Madstad 9" Extra Dark shield 2 days before I picked up the Slingshot. Drove Wraith every day till it came in, even once during some rain. Got soaked from armpit up. Was wearing the Polaris full-face helmet and it wasn't too bad. At least that is what I thought. Got the windshield in and played with the adjustments. Will never go back now.
