3-4 inches of snow in Leavenworth, Washington, surrounded by beautiful mountains. In the 20s overnight, 30s day time, but going to get colder. Leavenworth is known for beautiful Christmas lights which kids and I went to see last night.

Happy birthday youngin’! 😁

Leavenworth, Washington, and my winter adventure has begun with snow and cold temps this weekend. 18 degrees tomorrow night. I'll be living in the camper here this winter. After 13 years on the road, there's a new apartment with my name on it come May.

In 2017, I paid 342.00 for 30K service in Auburn, Washington.
All but 10K has been done by a dealer somewhere across the country.

Thank you all for the info! Notes have been made. We've gone from 80s down to 50s practically overnight with snow in the mountains. Here comes winter!

adventure4me I have a primitive pole barn (no electricity, gravel floor) in Woodland, WA that is 36 x 48 and pretty much empty except for my CJ5 and some of my neighbor's equipment that could be relocated. If it was a workable solution for you, I'd me more than happy to store your Sling until you have a place for it. I could also trailer it down for you if that helps. Let me know if you're interested and I can get in touch with you to discuss it. Cheers! Doug
SlingLow, thank you for your kind offer. If you were closer, I'd take you up on it!
Hoping after I get settled in next year we can meet up for a ride.

I will have a far from perfect situation this winter as I will be staying in Leavenworth, Washington where temps stay below freezing for days at a time. The apartment with garage I will be moving into won't be finished until May so the Sling will be outside at the RV park.
I have the original battery so I'll disconnect it and replace it next spring. I have the trailer cover.
What else do I need to do with these low temperatures?
Thanks in advance!

Lordy I miss you all!!

Today: 923 confirmed cases (about 910 are students). This means almost 600 new cases since September 4th.
Just six faculty members infected, faculty numbers make it seem like if you are careful, you might be able to avoid this. Student numbers seem to indicate that 'tweeners' (twenty somethings) are anything but careful. 😔
Granddaughter is finishing her senior year at Kansas State - she would have graduated in May but 42 days in the hospital last fall cancelled that. Classes are a mix of in person and online until after Thanksgiving - or sooner - when they are all going online. First day in class a professor announced wouldn't wear a mask if university didn't make him. He doubted anyone of the students would die of the virus unless they had underlying conditions - that would be my granddaughter with Crohn's disease.

Bill Martin I hadn't checked this thread for awhile. Sorry about the damage and loss, but so happy you and Angie are outta there! Boomer congrats on the new home! I actually thought about that area, but figured I needed to be close to my daughter. I'll be moving into a new apartment in Leavenworth, Washington, next May.
To you in California, we in Washington are now getting a taste of what you have been dealing with. Yuck! A RV friend near Ashland, Oregon, just lost her home.
Miss everyone! Be safe!

Rob the Slob, I am the worst for keeping in touch, but doesn't mean I don't think of you and keep you in my prayers. Same goes for you and Patti, dangerdarrell. Keep up the good fight!

Tripod Larry, I am so sorry to read of your dad's passing, but happy I had the pleasure of meeting him (and you). I think we will all remember MY CARD. He was a delight. My heart and prayers are with you and all the family.

Lanny McKee will be 76 in August. He’s another that can tear up a road! Joe Bentz will be 78 the end of this month - another one with many, many Sling miles!

Just a Figure of Speech. To me it means Male and Female. Keep on riding and the main thing is to ride safe and have "FUN"
I know - just need someone to pick on!
