Gollie-G you all are making my Sling blush. Thank you for the compliments.
Very "Classy". He already had "Sassy". Wonder what's next for the big bad Wolf??
-
Not sure when I will be there yet. hopefully in time for Day 1.

So what does this bill do for Kentucky? Anything new?
-
how many registrations total so far Ivor (for the entire event, not just the rides)?

Who is bringing a hatchet just in case @Cameron Roberts needs a brake bleed?
Really want to see that in person. Really.
There was some serious work going on in the pits that day!

Got ya covered if you can't find a spot at the hotel
Having it in the lot where Hahn was camped out during Booze and Blues 2016 (gratuitous plug) was not bad at all.

I just joined a new support group called "Slinghot mods anonymous" You can still buy mods for your slingshot, but you now do so under an assumed name
I am the president of that club. My assumed name is a credit card number. I use different card numbers every time so they can't track me. Pretty much "next level" anonymity.

Bleh. We gotta keep this rolling. Next thing you know Mcaws will be emergency swept away to China.
Dude, knock on some wood or sumpthin!

Is it possible to just purchase when we show up? I forgot how to write checks so it's easier to just pay at the event.

I would be really interested to see how this works @MACAWS and if you can be the first to come up with a way of measuring an actual difference objectively with bracing that aluminum piece or replacing it with something stiffer. From what we have seen, we are doubtful that replacing that brace will do anything to help with stiffening of the chassis as the part is mainly in tension and compression which aluminum is really good for, but I would love to see someone actually try to quantify any actual change. If you need any help, just let me know! Not bad for $20 and some time though, looking forward to seeing the new paint!
For reference, when the V8 went in mine the aluminum piece had to be removed and was replaced with a tube DOM piece. When I hit the infield wall at about 60 mph (enough to get the whole machine a foot or two off the ground) the entire frame around the engine was completely intact. Only the bit of frame that extends out where the radiator "funnel" was severely bent. The impact was at an angle
The new brace was unbent and the engine didn't suffer any damage. My guess is the aluminum piece wouldn't have fared as well.

I have a visit to alpha planned as soon as weather breaks(if winter ever goes away).... and that will be my first question and whether they could be installed on a N/A bike and if they will be future proofed for when a Real Boosted engine(aka Supercharged) is put in.
When I spoke to him he was looking to do it for the NA machines which would work with the SC.

I think not, free with the V8 conversion!
Yep, included with the V8 conversion. And you get 2!
I believe Henry was looking to make it for the little motor too. I'm sure he could make it for ya.
It will definitely sound better than any of the short pipes. What's amazing to me is the effectiveness of the heat shield. No one had burnt themselves on mine - knock on carbon fiber.

Looks like Teri and I will be there as well. Guess I should book as well.

looks great brother. On the edge of my seat to seat it with the roll hoops on. Dang movie night

One bad mutha right there! Can't wait to hear how the stock block handles everything including the E-85.

Howdy partner! Hope to be at this fine event and see that sweet ride of yours.
I also hope you get that heat problem sorted (from the other thread) as I might steal some ideas from ya. I remember you fighting it last year at SSITS.
Can't wait for driving season to really kick off - well, I guess it is all year long in Texas.

Heyeveryone, I will be helping Ivor out with this event. I run thelocal Dallas / Fort Worth SS group. Grapevine Polaris here in the metroplex is a vendor and willbe putting on a meet and greet on Tue April 18th and also will be attending theevent with mechanics and parts in Kerrville. I am asking for a list of parts we mightneed so they can order fromPolaris and have on-hand at the event. They will probably only be bringing Polaris OEM parts since we have somany venders attending. What parts to do want them to bring? What parts seemsto break or get lost the most? This is what I am thinking and please add tothis list.
Gas Caps - someonealways manages to lose one or two
Key blanks - bring your key codejust incase
Tires
Wheels - a wheel or two always get bent
Bolts, screws..
Batteries
Headlight bulbs
Brake sensorsWhat else?????
wheel bearings are always popular
