Does anyone else find it ironic the the Houston (Harvey) Texans are playing the Jacksonville (Irma) Jaguars today? Hmm it may be Roger Goodell having something to do with these hurricanes.
I don't think so - voting for Trump made climate change worse so if you support Trump you the voter are responsible for the fires in the west and hurricanes in the south - BAD PEOPLE !!!

I kind of like having the option to easily cross the US-Canada border. No complications needed!! Already need to annually fill out an IRS form 8840 (I think that is the number) indicating the timing details of my US stay. And believe me, we are not a drain on your economy!! Quite the opposite!

We Canadians are allowed to be in the US 182 days per any 12 month period. We typically go to about 175 or so. So I have only 7 left. But I wonder if exceptions are allowed for property owners in situations like Irma??? Guess I will call the border security folks on Monday.

We are with the Motorhome in Biloxi MS after staying 2 nights at Lake City FL then heading West to Gulf Shores AL for a further 2 nts..Decided this morning to head a further 100 miles West to Biloxi MS where we are now.
I10 today was packed.9 out of 10 cars had Florida Plates.

I am sure I will be busy with boat repairs after this as well. I was supposed to be in New Jersey right now doing a switch conversion on a boat.

I truly admire you guys bravery - I am truly chickenshit when it comes to big hurricanes - I pray God keeps all you guys safe !!
Insurance claims are never easy. A full write-off is often easier to claim than partial damage. And I am not at all familiar with US and FL insurance laws and claim procedures. Fingers crossed!!!

My place is not far from Tampa. Likely flying there late this week to see what, if anything, is left. I do have hurricane insurance. Hopefully it is worthwhile. To those still on the west coast area, be smart and be safe!!!!
