Well anyone who know me can tel you I am technically challenged.
I have been trying to figure out how to take a route created in Google maps and put it into my Garmin GPS. av8ingtom told me today he figured out how to do it. But he is old and I figured he was asleep so I tried to figure it out on my own. This is what I found.
1- Create a rout in google maps
2- This program converts the map into a GPX file https://mapstogpx.com/
3- Import the GPX file into Garmin Base camp
4- Convert it to a route
5- send to your device
This video will help explain it more
I am in the process of updating my maps - another hour to go but everything worked perfectly in base camp so I think it will import correctly.
