RIP Dr. Rabinowitz

  • Lost in the details of the shooting inside the Jewish Synagogue Saturday, is the story of one true hero. Not diminishing the word "HERO", but we have become too used to using that word to describe people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and suffered a horrible fate. This true Hero lived near the Synagogue, and when he heard the sound of an automatic rifle going off, he ran to see what he could do to assist. He was one of the first on the scene and knew there probably were many victims wounded or worse inside. Ignoring the chances of being one of the victim himself, he rushed in to see if he could save the lives of any of the shooters victims. In doing so, he too became a victim of the shooting and did not survive. One can't help but compare his bravery being unarmed in entering a building with an active shooter, when only a few months earlier in Parkland Florida an armed school resource officer waited for back-ups to arrive under a similar shooting situation.

RIP Doctor Rabinowitz. You have shown the rest of the world what a true Hero is in extraordinary situations. Sadly, you won't be able to see the accolades being bestowed on you by peers. Your selfless actions will be remembered for a long time.

    Nobody gets outta here ALIVE
