I had a task to help my Niece with a new car stereo. Meaning me buy it, deliver it and install it 
She is in college and doing good so I can't really complain about helping her out.
Plus I got to drive 180 miles with amazing weather so that and the install going good it was awesome.
One thing I have been reading on it the whining which mine does a bit but not as bad as some I have heard.
I drove a good 30 miles between a stop after some nice twisty roads. I felt by the bearings and by the final drive and nothing was hot which is what I would expect if something may be wrong associated with the whining.
Looking at the tag, my SLR was made March of this year. Maybe they have things better????
