I just want to pass along that you do not always have to go to the Slingshot aftermarket parts stores. A LED headlight conversion can cost as much as $199 at such sites. I went to ebay, got the H3's (outside lights) for $12.89 and the H9 (inside lights) for $34.19 for a total of $47.08. Shipping was fast, ordered Monday had them on Thursday. I am very pleased with the outcome and love saving $150.

Did you put in a vehicle make and model when you ordered these?

Most do not know but I am the co-owner of hypnotic concepts out of Florida...since the pics are being posted pre-maturely...my forward swept wing and finless deck are in the works along with a few carbon fiber, fiberglass and LED products for the SS....right now all the prototypes are mounted on my slingshot. I will not post pics until everything is completed and ready. Fab Factory is wrapping up the twin turbo install and dyno this week...If you want to see the products in person let me know. I tried to have things ready for MV but it's not gonna happen, we don't rush perfection.... Right now I'm working with a few folks, and vendors on both forums to make these happen....more to follow.

I am looking forward to the finished product. Thank you for the input.

Thanks alot guys. i am digging the no shark fin my self. Just have to come up with something to replace and make it look good. just remove the shark fin and replace with some batman wings.

OK I was wounding if or what purpose is the rear fin for the SS? I went back and watched a removal video and could not see anything in the fin, except the brake light. has anybody thought of removing the fin and making it flat across the back?

I've not seen damage on that area before. My driver's side panel was damaged from the inside support though, and they covered that. Unfortunately they didn't fix the support, and the crack is now showing on the new panel. Going to a different dealer to fix this one, and plan to make some changes to the support to keep it from happening again.

Yes sir, I am thinking i may have switch dealerships myself. I am going to contact one today and see how they feel about me coming to them since i didn't but my SS from them.

Are the panels considered to be under warranty? I have noticed on my rear deck what appears to be like a screws working there way out and making indention's on the deck. two spots on each side of the rear deck. Here is a picture not the best but maybe you can get an idea of what i am trying to say.

since i have installed these, i have noticed fender flopping as reduced ALOT. And would like to thank gpcustoms for the help and information for these.

I don't know your sequence of events. That would be detective work by you. How does the radio play in with the time of recall? You obviously have a circuit grounding out. Something is going to ground. If you didn't have a problem before the recall work, then something got scuffed or pinched during the work. What recall work did you have done? This will give you a place to start. I would stop operation til the problem is located. You don't want to fry a wiring harness or worse. With more info we as a group may be able to help you out. Do contact your dealer to get the ball rolling toward repair and their recommendation for further operation.

The radio was installed months before the recall was done. as far as i know it was the four recalls i had the swing arm, fuel line, brakes and steering. I will be doing more trouble shooting and pulling the radio out and re do it and see what happens next.

I thought I had already responded to this thread, but I don't see my post.
I suspect a short in either the radio or gauge wiring.
The Slingmods aftermarket radio power harness i used ti power my aftermarket radio comes with this warning - You will need to remove the 25 amp stereo fuse and the 5 amp gauge fuse from your factory fusebox before attempting to install your aftermarket power harness. If you do not, you risk shorting the 2 wires together and blowing the factory fuses. You may also disconnect your battery if you find that to be more convenient.
This leads me to suspect a short in one or both of your circuits. I can't think of anything associated with the recall work that might have affected this, so I'd check your radio wiring first.

Thank you, I think i will also do some more trouble shooting i will disconnect the radio harness and wire direct into my fuse block i bought and see if anything changes as well
