I would hate to take the groceries to the house in the second picture.
Think the ice cream would melt.

Sooo, it works now? Huh maybe when we all are doing something to our SS , maybe we should wait a day to start. Sounds good, just get a good bourbon and wait one!
Excellent idea.

You are absolutely correct - it runs usually a minimum of 15 degrees cooler here in this valley than when you leave it. I can work comfortably in my garage doing a little woodworking - in coonass land I didn’t come outta the house June thru September - unless a hurricane threatened to blow my ass out. Getting older and oppressive heat just don’t mix well - for me anyway!!
Practicing on making more wraps in that garage? I don’t know but if you use flame wraps it might get hot in there?

Skechers at Sams $32.00
mmmm Beach day !
Enjoy it , it is hot here and don’t even want to go out to get the mail.
I need that for the back of my Sling
Was 81 on the creek today - had to put the fan on low -just brutal here in the valley
Man that was tuff.
You need to put an ice bucket in front of fan for little better cooling.
It’s almost like back in Texas here and somebody has to check out the couch, so I guess that’s me. I just will have to sacrifice for the family.
Scanman , be sure to disconnect your battery just in case there’s a drain on it somewhere.
Might save your battery.

That looks like it was a great trip. How was the weather driving.
We did our epic adventure and got to see some of the same sights y’all did.
Glad all made it home safe.
Our epic adventure was 4200 miles in 21 days.
Riders were dangerdarrell and HeRSling , my wife and me.
Great pics.
One morning I went down to the SS to take the cover off and repack for the day just like all the rest on this trip. For some reason it just hit me. I just took a moment to give thanks for being able to do this.
Time, health, and means haven’t always happened at the same time for us. Having my wife of 37 years as anxious to hit the road as I am is a bonus.
Grateful 😎
Thanks to the good lord for sure.
I have a question, how many miles have you put on your ride since you got this one?
Off with the day bags on with the big bag brackets. Malibu, San Simeon, Santa Cruz, Eureka, and staying for two days in the redwood forest, then back down PCH to Pismo, then Ventura and home. Can’t believe we’re bringing the leather jackets as the highs are only in the 60’s ! Couldn’t ask for a better week ride!
Keep the pics coming!
Have a safe ride!
Have a safe epic adventure and keep us posted.
Remember pics or didn’t happen!
Be safe
When I bought the Sling I went for the SL with a crappy radio and whatever other meaningless extras for $2500 more. Little did I know I would do away with and replace ALL the extras - some multiple times - shoulda just bought the wheels, frame, shell and tires
Don’t forget the wrap. Sorry, you left yourself wide open.
Happy July 4!!!!!!
Been there with the Gold Wing group.
That’s still one of the best looking FAST RED ONES on the road today.
Love the wheels!
yea, supposed to be down almost 10 degrees cooler today. still over 100, but 107 is way better than 117 - - - - and as the week goes on its expected to get a few degrees cooler. For me anything under 110 is okay. dont know why, but once we pas that 110 it makes a big difference
Don’t care how much you spin it , it’s just HOT!
78 degrees here in the mountains - HOT for here - my buddy called from coonass land and said at 10:30 am it was 101 with 97% humidity! Ain’t never coming down from this mountain valley
At least not without cat like reflexes!!!!!
I can't find the right facebook page, the left facebook page, or any of the facebook pages in between.
Maybe you are looking at the wrong page, maybe back page!

Maybe too much Bourbon! I am not sure but sometimes too much of a good thing is bad!!!

Years ago they had a couple guys that went fishing in Laccasine Game Reserve. It is a huge marsh with narrow boat trails going everywhere with salt grass restricting your view with no landmarks making it super easy to get lost if you don’t know which turns to take. When the guys didn’t return the game warden called about 6 of us that really knew that marsh to go out and look for them the next morning. I wasn’t the one to find them but luckily one of the others did. When we all got back to the boat launch the 2 guys were a sad sight. I don’t think they had a spot on em without a red mosquito bite. Getting lost in the woods is bad enough but I would way rather take my chances in the forest as opposed to the marsh — it is brutal!!
What, no catlike reflexes?
