OK I'll ask because despite the crappy ending for @Tango. I'm sure it was an amazing ride up to the last. Because he was not hurt I just want to ask..... What was it like to have such an amazing beast on the track? wacky-squared ( gotta put a good spin on this!)

Track day accidents happen all the time to the best and most prepared vehicles and teams. Race teams deal with this all the time and can have it happen at any point caused by any number of factors. Get out of the line exiting a corner and your into the be-bees, don't care who you are or what your driving that is gonna upset the vehicle. Can happen to a V8 powered Slingshot or a 2 stoke Moped. I have no first hand knowledge of the event nor is my comment above factual. I just want anyone that has not tracked a vehicle to understand that some days are better than others but even a bad day at the track is better than a good day at work (hope the ones making the very open ended statements understand this!). Tango is a trouper that is putting himself and his money out on the line for all of us to learn from. I commend both him and Alpha for being cutting edge and pushing it to the extreme. This is the only way any of us learn anything, even for other competitors. I work in a very competitive market where someone is always looking to one up you or better you. True grace is being able to admire what others have tried (good or bad) learn from it and do it better without negativity. No one wins in negative promotional type of business practice. This is said to ALL vendors because I have seen it done more than a few times over the past 2 plus years. Not singling one out just using the opportunity to stand on a soap box. Sorry, and I'm done now. angel-squared

Jamie Roy, a close friend of Jim and Pam's, received this text from Jim's Mother.....
Jamie I saw your post on FB. Thank you! I am Jims mother. He and Pam shared stories of their trips and talked about you and Chris. I am devastated and beyond heartbroken but am trying to stay strong for Pams sake. My baby is gone. I know Jimmy would want me to take care of Pam now. I can't do anything else for him. Pams parents can't be with her right now so I am with her in the hospital. When I get her home we will have Jimmys funeral. Pam has fractured ribs, had a collapsed lung, has a chest tube. Has a fractured heel and bruised up pretty bad. Her pain isn't quite controlled yet. She is at St. Mary's Hospital. They were traveling to Ohio to her sisters graduation. Came around a curve in their slingshot and there was a car or truck sitting in the road. He swerved into the grass and she woke up here. Jim was dead at the scene....just wanted to share with you what has happened. Thanks again!

Just reminds us all that when we are out enjoying our unique and wonderful rides, you never know what might be around that corner, please stay vigilant folks and stay safe in your travels. ;(||:/?(:(

Thank you. I hope my post was not seen as being insensitive or to early. I was totally caught off guard by the news and thought I had missed something. @StickerDick thank you for keeping us updated and agree with your sentiment about safety. This is devastating news and like other felt that I had a brother without ever meeting him. I feel the same about all you guys and hope to keep all of you around for a looooong time. Lets be safe and keep Pam and Jim's family in our prayers.

well I can tell you that in my case disconnecting the Infotainment center from the ECU tie in does a weird thing to the unit ( infotainment). I cannot use it for any of the functions or modes. I can only stream music via Bluetooth and then only at a set volume and minor adjustment via my phone.
I guess I still have music until I replace it. Worst option in Polaris portfolio. Just buy a base and add the SL wheels and tires if you still want the look. Expensive lesson learned. Guess I'll EBay it on the cheap for someone but would feel bad for someone else so may not even do that. Just put it in a box for the next owner.

Ok... Here is the question. I need confirmation to my thinking. After downloading the installation instructions for the Infocrap system it appears that the only tie into the ECU is the jumper harness that piggybacks into the normal diagnostic port used on the standard SS. Other than the three wire power connection and the reverse switch for the backup camera there shouldn't be any other connections into the SS system correct?

Trying to isolate it from any feedback to the ECU and was hoping I could still have music until I replace the unit with a better stereo ... Just trying to remove any possible cause to the 065620 code I get.

all-season is typically associated with how the rubber holds up in temperatures and has little to do with weather. There are all-season tires that perform well in the rain and some that are poop in the rain.

True, sorry. need to be more clear.(NOTE TIRES are for tread design reference only. Not recommending any of the tires and don't even know if they make the sizes for the SS other than the Nitto's) smile-squared
Many have complained about hydroplaning with a performance summer rated tire. You want to look for a good wet weather performance tire if you are in a warmer year round climate.

    Here are some examples.
All weather - dry, rain, light snow and slush. Compound is important as well as a lot of sipping
Continental Extremecontact DWS shows what a tread pattern will look like for this type of tire. (Not as cool looking but functional)

A good wet weather performance tire might be something like this. still a good bit of sipping but more heavy grooves to expel water faster.
    Dunlop Fierce Instinct

I good solid summer performance tire with a soft compound looks like this. Less sipping fewer grooves and channels and a lot of rubber meeting the road.
    Nitto 555's

@rabtech maybe we can start a community sticky thread for known and unknown solutions for engine codes. Kind of like a weika pedi where each code can be posted and collective editing done as solutions or additional information is received. Don't know if open editing can be done?

over 7k on the fronts and still a lot of tread. should reach the same mileage as others if I don't swap out sooner.
If your not an overly aggressive driver I would recommend a good all season (GOOD IN THE RAIN) tire. Should help when the time comes.
