I have met the Marietta Brother and given forum info to all the crew at the dealership. Good group of folks. All the crew except one have the long hair like the owner.

been to the GA location. Nice showroom. When I stopped in they had just opened up and really didn't have the shop set up for SS services. Haven't stop back in. It's a little drive for me. Nice group.

unplugging things was what they tried last summer for me. Really hope this last tripped code for me was a fluke. Just know I feel for you and the frustration ...

A 5V low power ground it quite frustrating as this could almost be anything.

Here is my question the Polaris.... If your ECU has received repeat hits (limp mode shut down) has it been damaged and is now the problem?

Meaning, that it takes maybe one or two events to permitly damage the ECU and it then is the cause of the failures.

It was not until Polaris aggreed to replace the ECU that my problem went away. As noted already I did have the code trip again two weeks ago so something caused it. Really wished Polaris pride would have allowed them to use a existing programming from someone that may have known what they were doing. To have a system so interconnected but uable to hold codes is sad. Three turns of the key and it's gone.

Hopes to you brother and fingers crossed mine does not develop it again. 30 days last summer for me an no lemon law.

I have been looking at a way to make me a rear diffuse (see post #75) for this reason. Like @MACAWS stated regarding his front splitter we don't really have a way to prove it works except by our Butt-O-Meters. I'm reworking my front splitter as well. Lost one of my vertical wing-lets in some spirited driving and needed to beef them up a little.

If the airflow under and out the back (just in front of the rear tire) is similar to a standard car it's possible to produce some additional down force with a diffuse. It even looks to be more than a rear wing. This year the Daytona GTs in the IMSA race series were allowed some really extreme aerodynamic add-on's. The rear diffuser being the biggest and most pronounced. Now this also requires that I add aluminum belly covers to help smooth the air flow to the diffuser as well. I have some scrap aluminum so it want cost me much but a production piece (if made by someone) would not be cheap.

The light relay is plugged into the fuse bock ... How freaking dumb would it be if this was bad?...

Will I already have the radio disconnected. So keep me posted. I guess we drew the short straws. So many guys not having any problems and then there is us....

When I take mine back in the OE air box will be reinstalled. I will also be disconnecting my driving lights that are using the factory fuse location and relay as well as the switch wiring. They will not be able to say it was caused by somethings I did. More people have done more intrusive things than the simple stuff I have done.

@NatomasSlingshot1 mine went south last year around August and failed in September. It was before the brake switch repair and the light relay rework. This weekend I made a custom brake switch using the same SL-66 switch as used by others. The brake lights respond better and turn off quicker but this did not fix the stability light from tripping. So know I have a real excuse to have it looked over again and explain that the 065620 code has happened ounce again ...

My daughter still talks about my biggest dating rule (and I had many): If a boy wanted to date her, she would tell him that when he met me, I would be inviting him out to my garage to have a look at my cars, and "just chat like guys". To this day, not one boy ever told her what we talked about, and only one boy ever returned for a second visit......that boy is now my son-in-law, he's very respectful, and has taken very good care of my little girl. They even gave us a precious little granddaughter/princess. To this day, my son-in-law still won't tell her what was said those many years ago in my garage.

you can PM me what you said.. I'll take all the help I can get in the coming years... sad-squared

The attached image is a very good reference for understanding down force and how it is effectively used in F1 racing. The Slingshot is a very strange vehicle in reference to aerodynamics. It looks like it should be better than it is but I bet it never saw a wind tunnel at all. The front spoiler-wings really are not doing much with all that air rushing past then past the inner front tire and into the firewall area. Would love to see what one looks like with air flowing over it. With that said I think the best possible way to add down force to the rear is not an upper wing as some might assume (lots of turbulent air), but rather a diffuse up under the rear leading outward towards the rear tire (image shows as much as 40% increase). I have looked at ways to do it on the cheap (seeing the airflow) and might just have to do the old taped on yarn trick and video the air flow. Would look funny going down the road but without a computer simulator or access to a wind tunnel its about I i can do.
