They have a very wide area that they cover on the plastic. And the pins go into the metal area above the lights. I think if they stay shut it will work well. Its when they are loose that it would bother me. I think i want to add hood pads to my hood and let that push against the pins a little bit to cause them to have some resistance all the time. I think it will cut all the vibration out.
Not sure I understand what you are trying to do? are you saying you want to add pads under the pins?
So far mine have worked very well - opening and closing OK and no vibrations -
OK Gang Cannon Ball Run is what we have requested and we are waiting on final conformation from Raleigh Road Theater.
We are 3 months out from this event and I would really like to make sure we have every who is confirmed listed here. So please Click on the "show event" at the bottom of article...(page 1 of this thread) Then that will carry you to the calendar event... that will let you click the manage participation button and add yourself....If you are not already there.
Everyone at Maggie Valley received a flyer about the event so I am hoping we get a few more participants. Designer and Firefly have been working on some rides and I think they may have them posted in some sort of interactive map.
We need to keep this thread alive as it is the only way we can attract more participants - I need to give a very big Thank You to ethermoin and DocG for going above and beyond the call of duty to help me promote this event.
Please remember this is not a for profit event, it is staffed by volunteers.
Thanks Again to everyone
Mitch

You guys are so cool! I'm selling the buffs of course, $10.00 each, but I'm also selling the Three's da Life Coast to Coast shirts in the yellow or in the pink for ladies at $9.95 each, with $4.95 of that going to @gpcustoms cancer fund that a friend of his family started to try and help them cover the expenses he will be facing over the next few months, so if you are looking to help out and need some new swag, give me a PM or call!
Hey Sticker Dude
where can we get a list of everything you have for sale... I didn't get a chance to get a black shirt and I just got tired of chasing you around the parking lot, since you were so dam busy.. I am ready to order some stuff.

A very special thanks to @MACAWS for sending me a SSIS care package. Those who don't know Mitch or those who didn't get the opportunity to meet him at SSIS2016 you guys missed out. Mitch better known as @MACAWS is one of the best SS brothers you will ever have or meet.
Many of us where unable to attend the SSIS2016 event due to high school testing, my son as where many others where testing during the SSIS week.
I did however make it out to Maggie Valley on the last day Saturday the 4th . No sooner I got there I met up with Three's da Life crew and asked @kenny_h if he had seen @MACAWS. Mitch being the great guy he is was out and about trying to get some SS film footage. Well the rest of that story is up to him if he wants to share it. The bottom line is that I missed him so I decided to hit the Dragon with my wife, I gave him a call left him a message and was on my way.So............just so all can have an idea what kind of guy Mitch is when got home after 5 days of hitting every trail in the Smoky Mountains including the Dragon three more times putting 1773.9 miles on the SS in my living room was a care package sent by @'MACAWS.' He had not only taken the time to hunt for the best Ice Cream parlor in town (cause we had a Ice Cream date OMG @Tripod) he had collected and sent me treasures from the 2016SSIS including the tribute to Jim Mosbey a brother recently lost..........so I want to publicly say
THANK YOU Mitch I owe you big time......thanks
for taking care of me.!P.S. please tell Mrs. Macaws it's not Jake from State Farm...... (inside joke guys)
Well Brother I am blown away by your tribute!
I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss anything..
I am so sorry I missed you! Can't wait to meet up with you again soon. -
Welcome the land of OZ

Hey guys hope you can join us in North Georgia July 28th - 31rst
Look for the thread Kenny H started -
The hotel is gonna call me back tomorrow about getting us a better rate on the rooms.
Right now it's 109 weekdays and 115 weekends. I'm sure we can get a better rate the more people we get.As long as they do not know any of our history!

I am in!
Will double check with the wife but that was close to the original dates I gave her so all should be good
Most likely will be trailering so let me know if that is a problem -
Don't get the flying pig part, but the chalk outline indicates a gruesome death. Who would slash off a pig's head and run off with the hams. Sick puppies!
The Flying Pig name has a rather long and comical story to it.
Next time I see you in person I will have to tell you the entire story.. -
@MACAWS I don't think I'm gonna make it to the "Booze & Blues" event this year. Its the weekend just before our big Petit Le Mans the week. Its earlier this year than in the past.
Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta - Road Atlanta
Will be camped out track side all that week. Sorry!
Going to miss having you there bud.
Hopefully we will meet up in GA in July
enjoy Petit Lemans - wish I could be there for that! -

It started like most nights start, shower, eat dinner and check the forum. While on the forum a happy silliness came over me. Most of the not yet formed "The Wolf Pack" were happy and silly that night also. There were jokes and one liners gallore. A Pimp's shift knob was one of many topics.
A young man named Chris PM'd the still ununified Pack to thank us for lifting his spirits during a moment of sadness. We all PM'd daily to shoot the breeze, crack jokes and talk about life. Chris stopped participating as much but the rest of us continued to keep up the conversation. We became close during those conversations and SSITS 1 solidified The Pack. Seeing each other for Birthdays and a Wedding(I'm sorry I had another wedding that day), track days, along with PLENTY of texts has kept us tight.
We have taken on some special additions as time has gone by. But as far as I can recall, we owe thanks to Chris.
As for the name, I think it's because my screen name sounded better as a group. "Rock Solid Group", "Tango's in the Open", "The Pig Pens" and "Cam's Crusaders" just didn't sound as cool as "The Wolf Pack". If I'm wrong about any of it I'm sure @TheRock @pigmanfu@Cameron Roberts@Tango or @lrobbi will set the story straight.
I have had the pleasure of hanging with your pack on several occasions, Track Day - Wrench Day and SSITS. Both my wife and I enjoyed every moment. You are a special group of people with a very special bond.

Joker
Why not get the SS and let some of us set up a wrench day to get all your mods installed.
This way once you are healed up you can just ride like the wind -
But you get to have cute nicknames like Double Stuff!
