    Thanks

So, what happened after 3yrs? Did you have to get it redone?

lost some of the mobility because of the two fusions, but you then start to over work the areas above and below the fusion. So now I have some of the pain every day and it can be bad. So I take three hydro codon a day (10/325) one in the morning- one in the early afternoon and one after 8 PM where I can sleep at night without waking up hurting. I do not like taking this but there is no way around it, I have tried. But at least I can use my right leg without looking at it. That is how bad it was before, once the back started hurting, if I did not find something to sit in real quick it would put me on the floor. I am good now as long as I can manage the pain. This surgery was in Nov. 2005.

I just got back from the neurosurgeon. Apparently I have to get four of my vertebrae fused, but I have to quit smoking first before they'll do the surgery. I've tried 4-5 times in the past 20yrs, and I keep coming back to smoking. I've used chantex, or however you say it, the patch, but the adhesive gives me a rash, and here I am smoking 2 packs a day. I also have to get my left shoulder replaced, but the VA is going to do that, and they don't give a rat's ads if I smoke or NOT.
Anyways, do any of you have a sure fire way ,for someone with no will power, to quit smoking?

Either you want to quit or not. I quit cold turkey after my first triple bypass in 1996. Sixteen years and a day to the second, the average at the time was 14 years. How much more time do you want to spend with your family? I also had two fused (bone to bone) in 2005 3-4 and 4-5 lower I was good for about 3 years

@rnj12 not a problem, welcome to join in at any time. I know you may be new so a lot of questions and of course problems have already been discussed on here so if you just use the search feature you will find most anything that you may be interested in. If that does not work, most times if you post what you are interested in someone will help you

Ya see it is called a cell phone - a device used for talking to someone.

If you want to write to someone send an email or a letter

Thanks @MACAWS but I will take it a little bit further. If you want to talk to me you had better keep calling until I answer the phone

51,000 miles with oil changes every 3,000 miles and at oil change my oil does not look like that. Now the wifes Equinox 2.4 looks like that on the last 3 oil changes. She was having some shyster change the oil and when I checked it one day it looked like coal tar so now I do the oil changes still trying to clean it up every 3,000 miles. Mobil 1 in the SS and now also the Eq.

Simple inexpensive upgrades can make a world of difference. I have gone to Nitto tires (slightly wider all the way around) replaced the stock coils with QA1 coils that dropped the SlingShot by about 1". I haven't replaced the shocks yet and for the $120 cost for the coil change out don't see a need to spend the big money just yet. I did have to cut down the height of the rear cleavis because the rear coil is still stock.
I also upgrade the front sway bar bushings with polyurethane as well as drilled the stock sway bar link mounting points 3/4" forward to stiffen it by about 20%. The tires were the expensive part but we'll worth it. @FunCycle and I were having a good time up until the little even he had. I was very pleased with the results .... Big bang for the bucks....
Point being it is relatively easy to improve the handling dramatically with little effort... And yes I'm still N/A.

QA-1's set at 2 around home and 5 or 6 in the twisties. I forgot to change them up on the last trip and I could really tell the difference. --- DDM sway bar --- RRR Radiator support bar --- BFG Comp 2 all around (Not A/S)

That looks like what they are submitting to State Farm. I do not know how I missed that, total is $4,511.97 I will be calling them tomorrow.

Guess the rest of us are not cool enough to know. ;(

Yeah @kenny_h - what's with all the double top secret stuff?

Guess the rest of us are not cool enough to know. ;(

That is the radiator support bar in front of the motor which also ties the frame together to stiffen it.
So now the factory ones are sub par?

This is the bar that Rist Rocket was making a heaver replacement for, to help keep the frame from flexing kind of like the under hood bar that they make for the Mustangs and the Camero's
