Yeah most every organization has some form of it. We are so connected now via our cell phones and computers you'd think that it should be easy to set something up that we could participate in for that purpose. The problem I am concerned about is being able to compile the info and have it accessible to this group without every telemarketer in the world having access to it. Surely someone in our group is computer savvy enough to do it.
Just look at how many have posted to the map, how many do you think would do that. That is why I started y own directory.

It would be nice if we had a list on line or hard back of folks that were willing to go out and assist another slinger in need kinda like the gold book for the GW riders.
When you get ready to set it up you are welcome to include me. We could provided garage space, a few tools, minimal knowledge, and temporary lodging for someone that has broken down in or near our area while traveling on their sling.
We have the same thing in the National Street Rod Asso.
-
If I polish the slingshot any more I will burn thru the paint
Mine already has three coats of F-11 on it
-
That is 6 YES2 Maybe
1 NoStill need 9 more to pull this off or as close as possible to keep the cost per Sling down.
Come on people, it would be the most fun you have ever had. We could also have a group that just wants to drive slow and look at the scenery OVER and over and ----

Every time I take a trip I look to see if there is someone to meet along the way. Meet a couple of new friends on our trip to Florida this past month.
I also keep a directory of the people on here if they ever mention their location, address or phone number I need to get it more organized
-
I was looking at a profile today and realized that only about 300 members out of what, 2000 have entered their info in the Map Tab. It would be a great help if everyone could take a moment and enter the info. This will allow members to see who else is in their area or in an area they will be visiting, to ride with, grab a beer with, and maybe a wrench day if needed.
Thanks
I agree with you @Bubblehead

15 degrees, I can't wait for warmer weather so I can finish my sequential blinker installation. I walked out to the garage and tried but my fingers almost froze to the Sling.
70 degrees in the Play Room here

I would like to run the new General's on the front they should be out by then and they are supposed to let me know when the rear will be available. The BFG's should be good for one more trip to the track. then I will get the General's for the front. I still have the new set of stock Kenda's also.
-
Gonna need new set up notes for the shocksWe are planning some test sessions to help everyone get suspension dialed in and maybe some parade style laps to show the best line.
we are going to need a lot of gas
Yes we will, even I ran thru more than a tank of gas being NA with no boost. @MACAWS you still going to run the BFG's?
-
It would have to be above 53 degrees and no rain. 3 hr. and 40 min. 178.8 miles
-
I am in, but as usual it would be according to the weather. NO TRAILER

So what your saying is that the relay is powered all the time and when the transmission is put into reverse it provides a ground to the relay turning on the reverse lights?
The thread I was looking at said it is a neg. signal wire and something about using a relay to change to a plus
-
There is also another thread called "Backup camera to switch" on TDS
-
I know I have seen it before, but it may not be in its own thread. So eone here has written about it, though. You might have to look inside that 700+ page monster thread on mods. I'll try some more searches too.
@Tripod, you got anything?
Yes, someone did put the camera on a switch. It was way back, but I do not remember when of where.I think I found it on the Dark Side thread is "Back up camera wiring Sept.29,2015

Sweet. I was Googling it and see it mentioned a lot. Several are also 2016.5's. I have an appointment on Monday. Hope that is the smell!
Not likely

So, let me ask, why shock upgrades? So far the ride quality is better than I expected and it handles fantastic. Love the quick steering. Curious to what improvements you get from an upgrade? I am leaning towards a CAI and maybe some of those cool blue hoses I have seen on similar Fire Blue SS's...I would also like to paint that rusty manifold or put a shield over it!
The most power for your money is the cat delete pipe and the CAI plus it got me 4 MPG more.

So far me & @funinthesun have a lot to be thankful for - the Good Lord seems to have left our balls in tact with no talk of removal - Kinda seems like all gravy after that
And you mean they are still useful at this stage of old age.

Great time in the "Boro area, lived there for 8 years before moving to Florida. NT is great, expecially in the fall, but most any roads around there can be twisty and fun to drive.
Can't help on the start-up smell, sorry, but you will find great advice here on the board.
And people here will have plenty of ideas on how to spend your mod money.Second the suggestion on shocks, seems pricey but WAAAY worth it.
Enjoy, get more miles on it, and enjoy the experience.
If I was a betting man I would still say it is a leak at or on the radiator overflow tank. When you shut the SS down it leaks onto the exhaust pipe under the tank, What you are smelling is it burning off after the next start up. Mine done the same thing.
