I always put Stainless Steel on. But I have not found them for the SS yet.
Have Welter Duals on 2017 SLR. Anyone know if there is a rear fender for this?
Sent from my iPad using Polaris Slingshot Info
The Assault fender will also work, but I have found if you put a little offset in the front swing arm front mount it has more clearance. Also we are having the bracket break at where the fender bracket joins the swing arm loop. Mine has broke 3 times ( 57,000 miles) @Summer Breeze just broke his 3 weeks ago. I will get around to fixing mine again sometime and it will be 1/4 inch at that point. @Summer Breeze is going to use the cross bar mount on the swing arm with double straps to the fender on his.
The mechanic engineering nerd in me couldn't leave this alone.
I had to figure out what was the scoop on these nutz.
The lug type the SS comes with is called "bulge".
Most of the ones that everyone has found, including myself, are "tuner".
So I'm changing them out now.
Get whatever works and get the vinyl covers in whatever color that you like to fit over them. I have painted two sets of center caps red and black with the silver SS in the middle and also have the nut covers in red and black. Now I can have a different color combination four days in a row.
I looked at the short portable two post lift, it is also on here somewhere for the same price. If you have low overhead, also you can sit on a stool or low chair to work
I found my old 305 x20 tire in the storage unit, while we are working on fenders and filler panels Sunday, I'll see if I can figure out a way to get a rear fender that will match the fronts, after looking at what everybody else is doing, metricks seems to be the closest to what you want, but I would like to see a hidden mounting plate if possible, but that maybe why their fender does not come down as tight to the rear tire because of the framework to mount it with.
I do not believe the radius of the original fender is going to work with the 20 inch tire and rim
@KayTwo couldn't you help a brother out there and pick his sling up and put a few break in miles on that new TC for him?
I'd offer to help but I'm a little out of the area.
I was thinking storage with the break in mles
I am gonna kick his ass!I may not have quite as much HP because he had to have a bigger badder turbo but and an automatic trans.
But I will be close I have my own box of sprinkles going in!
I say we need a track day!
And besides he does not like crooked roads and race tracks
I concur. The pins were a great (and needed) mod and the master himself installed them at Maggie.
If anyone sold the same pins for 1/2 the price of @mniron , I’d still buy them from him as he stands completely behind them and has saved my ass on more than one occasion,
Mine also and nothing but good service with no questions asked except what the problem was.
I was talking to them last Monday and nothing was said about bike week. Their crew had just spent the last two weeks in Daytona.
Thanks @mniron just trying to drum up some more interest.
They have the 1/4 and the 5/16 pins. @mniron installed the 5/16 on mine last year, but he was still installing the 1/4 inch ones also. Just check and see which you have and order a new pin. Or order the whole side. They also have the different colors. You can also get the whole thing in Stainless Steel for $47.49 each
The Quik Latch's and replacement parts are available at Summit Racing or from QuikLatch.com This is the pin and latches that a lot of us have installed on the hoods of our Slingshots. One latch is $26.99 so you will need two. Spring ea is $2.29 Replacement pins are $7.50
@believe me its in the top of my list as we speak, was also thinking modyoursling but i agree MODMYSLING.COM is better
I like this one better also because it still has Sling in it, giving some indication as to what it is about. (SLINGSHOT)
Welcome @Mikehoncho You will never regret leaving that other place and besides that we have more information over here
I am going to check on the Hydro dip for mine

@FunCycle I have mine that i took off my 17 when i converted to the dual headlights. is that what you are looking for?
Yes, that would be a start. I just do not know what pieces I will need.
believe it or not I thought about cutting the bottom of mine the same as the rear. Even though I haven't drilled the swing arm yet. I'm chicke sh** to tap the swing arm and do it wrong!
I just measured for this, but the fender needs to be for a 20 inch tire and rim. The width is wide enough for the stock 255-35-20
