I love how the front end gets the bolder, more robust finish.

The front fenders though....encompassing the wheels, and the splashguard!! Damn I love that look there.

The rear is finished very nice as well. Love the saddlebag option.

I met with Kev yesterday at the track. Hell of a nice guy and the body kits are pretty impressive!
(ok , so maybe I pulled this one from another thread,,, but he said it, too late to pull it back now Kenny lmao)

With such compliments from respected forum members, I am going to go out on a limb here and say, tomorrow morning we begin production of the next phase , the development of a new roof I should have available for Maggie Valley. I,ve had the concept sketches on the board for a while now but wanted to get our body kits out there first to show what we can do. I,m going to post those sketches here now , but keep in mind they are just that, concept sketches, and as such the design may evolve as it comes to life. Initially I hope to offer something different from the traditional roofs out there, a design which not only looks slick as hell on our kitted cars but one that will go great on your traditional Slingshots too . Fibreglass, with an embedded steel structure, supporting gull wing sections for easy access and egress, and no front down tubes necessary at the windshield !

Rode South till I couldn,t ride no more and ended up in this cool little harbour front called Key West !

Sign said .U.S.#1 ends here, so I parked near as I could to the waters edge, got out, walked out the dock, looked up and down the shoreline both ways and sure enough, any further in a Slingshot and your gonna git your feet wet !

Hi Stickerdick, nice to unofficially meet you. I had a chance to meet a great guy , kenny_h at Daytona last week and he told me all about your project. Read earlier where you might be interesting in kitting the Vtec conversion. I thought you might be interested in this if you haven't already seen it Specification | Honda Engine Conversion Specification. I previously purchased an irrepairable 2009 Lotus Elise at an insurance auction , got it running again, enjoyed running the snot out of it for about a year then sold it off to Texas to a guy for a track car. The Lotus O.E.M. Drivetrain then was a 1.8 litre Toyota drivetrain 189 h.p. but mine was superchsrged which puts out 218 H.P. But I was seriously looking at the Honda conversions for it. Britain leads the world for all things Lotus, as they,re produced there and there,s a huge track circuit for them there, by far the favourite engine for racers there in a lotus(which coincidentally weighs the same as a slingshot) is the Honda Vtec. Hondaelise.com is just one of many specialist offering conversions there. thought you might be interested, Heres a pic of my Elise, same house but featured vehicle on my front lawn now is my 2015 Sling decked out of course with our new body kits. lol (SSBODYKITS.COM) Why does one go from a Lotus Elise to a Slingshot ? SIMPLE, when it comes to agility, high speed cornering capabilies and that low to the ground, power to weight sensation the Slingshot is the only thing that compares to a Lotus Elise, same weight , same horsepower , same performance !

Slingshots always get a grin wherever they go. So I couldnt help myself. Drove past this wild looking motel north of Miami after leaving Daytona and just had to mess with the valet parking attendants
They were already grinning when Iasked for directions to the local Travelodge ! Probably gave myself away when I got out and snapped a pic of myself in line lol

just got back home to ontario last night as i took a few extra days (key west) .got a chance to view all the forums òn a pc for a change and noticed i missed a few requests here

@Nesolidus heres that hood open pic you asked for and one of the sling on the wheellift heading to key largo and @The Rock , heres one of how we were locking our steering as you asked. Hmmm note to myself, dont forget to add that lockable steering option ,on special on our web site http://www.ssbodykits.com This month only, Free! (Lol)

heh RoadWarrior it was great meeting you at the Volusia ride at Daytona. Loved that camper too. Can you post a pic of it from the front view, a body of mine here wants to see it.
Lol, I was too busy snapping pictures of my own ssbodykits
to remeber to snap a picture of yours !

At the last moment as about 30 of us were rolling out of the gathering spot for the slingshot ride this past Saturday, I was asked by organizer, Andy Pallemaerts of Volusia Motor Sports if videographer Krystal Alexandria of you tubes, CYCLE FEVER TV, could jump in my new SSbodykits.com demo with me to shoot video of the ride ? Um, let me think now...one old fart,me... pretty young photographer...free publicity....duh ,OK! Needless to say she was a lot of fun, had never been in a Slingshot before and loved every minute of it.Krystal sent me a few stills today from the footage they,re preparing for one of their Thursday evenings weekly broadcasts.at 7:30, She promised to let us know which Thursday it would air but said it likely wouldn't be this thursday. She apologized for the Quality of the stills as they don't pull well from her Video footage. Just thought I should post them here to let everybody know the ride will be featured on Cycle
Works TV one of these Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Any you tube footage of that many Slingshotters living life as it was meant to be, has to be a good thing right?

heh funinthesun thats the coolest onversion method Ive ever heard. Typically they bore us with, one mile equals1.6 kilometers. so given its six miles up to the track from there , your slingshot ride conversion tables were spot on! Lol

Goťta say I was blown away with the magnificent Slingshot display Polaris put on at Daytona! They had twelve slings giving demo rides all week. That line up was full all week, but come friday morning they booked every demo ride full till the end of the show ! What a great display! Us little Canadians at http://www.slingshotbodykits.com were really impressed so i thouhgt I,d post a few of their booth shots here for those who couldnt make it down.

JUST wanted to say thanks to all the forum members I Met in Daytona this past week as well, thank you to all those who have shared such kind comments on our products from http://www.ssbodykits.com Two in particular @kenny_h and @funinthesun Kenny was a great help and what a great sling he has, all tricked out and with some great mods of his own ! And i was also briefly introduced to another guy there with another great sling whom I didnt know at the time was referred to as suninthefun on the forum .I thought it was worth mentioning one moment that struck home with me after the wondefull ride from VOLUSIA Motor Sports on Saturday After lunch when we were all going our seperate ways I Heard him mention he was heading back into Daytona so I asked if I could follow him back in,which he kindly replied sure, where are you heading? I replied I wanted to go back up international speedway blvd to the track and he said sure I,ll waive you off when we get there. . So as I approached that corner he waiveId it out to me then something that really hit home. As I passed him he hollered out, "about 9 kilometers." Well as i rounded the corner it hit me , he obviously knew I was Canadian and was decent enough to holler out the remaining distance to me in my own tongue, kilometers.I damn near missed it but when I realized it I got a good chuckle from it. Just wanted to let you know funinthesun, your slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/40925/slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/40926/comradery didnt go unnoticed

originally as shown on the web site, the luggage system kit included the two rear quarter panels, the lower tail cone encompassing the license plate, the two givi bags and all the attachment bracketry
And all this at a comparable, slightly better price than the Corbin. $3,200 for our entire system. That being said,I received so many request from forum members and very interesting foĺks i was pleased to meet at Daytona , to break that kit down to seperate the givi bags and my attachment bracketry from the fibreglass panels, that I will be happy to do so. But please bear with me for a week or so untill i get home from Daytona to have the store prices seperated and updated on my website.

    • After a very productive meeting with GIvi at Daytona today we are pleased to announce we will be making a small modifocation to our bracketry jigs when arriving home ,which will allow for our customers to be able to choose from any one of the monokey, 46 0r 47 liter hardcases

Typically all the monokey hardcases are a substantial amount more money over the blade tech included in our luggage however as result lf this meeting, there will be no upgrade charge for our customers choice of bags !

Here in daytona, meeting some cool people including forum members like kenny with his Hahn turbo Sling.and hope to meet manymore at Volusia ride tomorrow. And yes Cameron extended hinges would be great with this hood, thanks for the idea, L,ll look into them and maybe I can squeeze them in as standard equipment on the hood kit without raisning the price. Hope I didn't shoot myself to far in the foot here, should have checked the price before I opened my mouth lol.
