anybody with any kind of solar system design skills can tell you there aint no way in hell using todays best technology to generate that much power with that few of square feet of array real estate available , its a ploy om words , imagine that ! lol

With five kits ordered recently , I'm thinking I'm seeing a pattern . Of the last three to roll out, thank you Iowa, Kentucky , and British Columbia, with one more leaving soon for a cool guy in New Jersey. There definitely has been a preference. All of them have chosen the most economical route to Quad Conversions, in that they have chosen the BASIC KIT Unassembled.

The BASIC KIT , $5,699.00 comes raw with all the parts included , but not assembled . This is the most economical path to Quad ownership. (If a person chooses to paint himself), there is a $1,300.00 savings for that and bolting together your own kit.(not installing) . If they choose not to paint and have to send it out for powder coating, ( maybe $300.00) they can still save themselves a grand or more for bolting on shocks, brakes, uprights, control arms and installing the driveshaft, E brake cables and speed sensor . The assembled BOLT ON KIT would have cost them $6,999.00

What surprised me most about five out of five going Unassembled , shouldn't have surprised me at all really. It wasn't the need to save a buck, as WTH, they're spending money on a Quad conversion ! It turns out it's just something they want to do ! a major modification like a Quad Conversion Kit can be very rewarding and knowing you did it all yourself, just increases that Pride of Ownership.

While we expect to see more of this trend continue, we certainly will sell assembled BOLT ON KITS as well and can offer complete Installed packages also.

NJ SS HELL NO lol havent been able to get but an hour or two in on them on sunday mornings as I have to keep getting back to finishing backorders, but glady I,m catching up now and will get back at them . I did however get the production molds all made from those plugs , and bought the required small diameter tube bender , just have to get the tooling made up for the brackets now and slam around a set for a bit

a little wet sanding and buffing and they're ready to cast molds for the new Plus 1 Quad kits

I,m thinking a single rear fender too, probably wouldn't take much modifying . I asked Hodge today if he wanted me to pull a left from the new mold and bring it over to see what we could fit up on his Slingshot and he thought he was more interested in three , WTH

kev that looks good! How will they mount to the rear?

They will use the same style brackets as rabtech showed us from Britain , that Dave said he uses on the Aerial atoms. But I will make them to fit the front and back side of the vertical post on the Plus 1 uprights , and lengthen the top two bolts which currently hold the top control arm brackets and add two welded brackets outside of the existing top control arm brackets

    Sneak Preview - New fenders,

Finally settled on this shape for the male plugs I carved up to produce production molds for the Plus 1 Quad Kits. I decided to carry on the Slingshot body theme of all angles, no traditional square look, right through to the fenders.

Might appear a little large for @WOKKAS bare ass preference but from a side or front view of the Slingshot they should look right at home

similar to @Rabtechs selection from the British manufacturers Ariel Atom fenders

OKCLimeSqz no problem , we aim to please . Just checked and the f4 =5 hasnt shipped yet , as it was listed to ship between the 1oth and 17th so please check your email for refund notification , the ddm windshield post did ship today usps #

9405511298370856306457 you can return it to me for a full refund when it arrives or you can keep it, please let me know which you would like to do with it.

LOOKS GOOD @WOKKAand great article too., I'm inclined to agree with you on the fumes issue too, so its good to hear you think it's working for that too. I guess I,ll have to do mine this winter but I'll be using two ZZP resonators with their rear exit on my Plus 1 as I'm already running their stage 2 Turbo. But I've pretty much mocked them up to be ending up almost exactly the same location your Welters do, So if they look as cool as your Welters do I'll be a happy camper too !

NJ SS HERE'S A FINAL DRIVE RATIO CHART SHOWING THE DIFFERENCE IN RPM WHEN SELECTING A TIRE SIZE AND COMPARING GEAR RATIOS, USING A I;I TANSMISSION GEAR WHICH IS YOUR 4TH GEAR IN YOUR PRE 2020 SLINGSHOTS . IT SHOWS YOU CAN EXPECT ABOUT 177 RPM DROP WHEN CRUISING IN 4TH GEAR AT 65MPH WITH THE 3;27 OVER A 3;45, SO CRUISE RPM AT 65 MPH IN FOURTH WOULD BE ABOUT 2700 RPM WITH A 3;27 BUT WOULD CLIMB TO 2870RPM WITH THE HIGHER TORQUE, HIGHER REVING 3;45 SHIFTING TO 5TH GEAR WOULD LESSEN THE SPREAD BETWEEN THE TWO TO ABOUT 150 RPM, I BELIEVE , I'LL TRY TO FIND THE GEAR RATIO CALCULATOR I CHECKED THAT ON A FEW MONTHS AGO AND POST THE LINK HERE

Hi @Monte its been a busy weekend so just trying to get back to everybody before monday morning that just ordered in the last few days, , The f4 portal shows it is in stock and as the listing indicated , 3 to 10 days to ship , so being as you just ordered on the 7th , hopefully it can be fullfilled early this week but depending how busy they are it can take up to the 17 Th . I cant get those kind of answers for you on the weekend but I can get an update by midweek if we havent lucked out with a tracking number sooner .DDM has stock again on the post and are the only people in the industry right now who do , so that is coming direct from them to expedite shipping. Its crazy how busy things have been this year , the entire industry has gone out of stock on windshield posts this year far more than 50% of the time , but everybody is doing their best to get inventory back in as fast as possible .

I'm not sure Most owners pour more money into them. Maybe the few owners that are die hard that participate in this forum but how many owners out there that are not on this or any forum?

The vast, and I mean vast ,majority of Slingshot purchasers do not participate in modding , Facebook or Forums, The only Slingshot world they know is the one that exists at the local Dealerships. Sad really, but also plenty of potential for future members, groups, customers etc. Consequently, I think you are going to see things change over the next couple of years.

Fortunately, the Slingshot Communities are starting to grow now, that production numbers are getting up there, and the new participants wandering in are thrilled with what they they are finding outside of the Dealerships. Though the vast majority of purchasers have yet to find the communities, I expect you will see that will change quickly.

Riders For Life is a new Community that is growing quickly. and with many of the new events, like the Houston Experience which DKF Texas and others are promoting, Communities are growing ! And no one should doubt the impact Ivor's Group, Slingshot Roadsters Events and Rallies, has had and will continue to have. The SOG organization has gotten off to a great start and we all hope they will continue to build on that , their FB Group is a very large and active one where slingshot comradery not only exists but is well promoted.

Also on an upbeat note, Polaris is starting to recognize the benefits of the different communities and you can see it reflected in their adds, many FB and some forum members have had their Slingshots featured in adds promoting the endless customizing available . Rallies and meets are now starting to get Polaris attention as well, as they realize the benefits of the communities.

I think and hope, you will see Polaris pursue those avenues further. as they build the Slingshot Brand, as they begin to see, the Communities are growing !

And Of Course, there is one organization that has spearheaded the Movement from day 1 , Thank you Slingshotinfo.com
