Woohoo! Just got a call from my dealer. They have found out why my power cuts off in right turns. Seems the tech who installed my new swing arm (no longer there) did it wrong. They found a 1/4" layer of loctite on the inside on the axle. Needless to say, axle has to be replaced. They have ordered a new axle and I should have her back by this weekend!

That sounds great! So it was as stated earlier... interference of the axle speed sensor?

Good rule of thumb when it comes to troubleshooting... last thing performed prior to a problem is the best place to start.

Let us know when your Slingshot is done with the NASCAR circuit...

Rolling up on the One Year Mark for Slingshotinfo.com. And some us would like to say, "Thank you and :00000439: . Official date is a little fuzzy, BUT... Lazily scrolling around the site and I see currently 965 members... First member login appears to be April 9th with April 10th logging numerous users. (for those not in the know, it was dark times and finding out what was up and where was a real fiasco. It was a real secret except for those few involved. Didn't take long for the fire to spread.)

This forum has been a major help to my indoctrination to the Polaris Slingshot and continues to be some of the best information available. Plenty of comradery, how-to's, laughs, pictures, stories, and bullsh*t... (enough to green a desert).

And I want to say THANK YOU to @rabtech for stepping out on that limb to find out if anyone had your back. As always, ballsy!

To @allison, so sorry. Sharing has to be the most difficult. Thank you!!!

@kenny_h, how the hell did he get anything done? Thank you.

@MACAWS, @Ross, @Shack... thanks for putting up with us slackers. Don't think it's that tough, though.

So, @Guardian_Angel and I have the T-shirts, business cards, and stickers to continue helping SlingshotInfo grow...

Just wanted to return the love by tapping that donate key and say,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLINGSHOTINFO.COM and THANK YOU!!! :00008674:

(and @rabtech, how bout you give this baby an official birthdate)

    :REDSS::GRAYSS:

Seems kind of odd... This forum has always been about the Slingshot, information, truth, rumors, stories, pictures, and plenty of how-to...

and bullsh*t... always plenty of bullsh*t... and that makes it fun.

It has taken quite awhile, but today we welcome @Bu11sh1t officially into the family.... 8o

Ran into a boatload of idiots at work last night. Don't know why they were all in a boat, on a concrete floor, in the middle of a forklift aisle. No motor, no paddle, and not a single one of them had on a life jacket.
    Friggin' idiots!

Plan is to roll in on Monday afternoon with my daughter navigating. @Guardian_Angel took on a new job and will not be able to join us this year. Currently booked at Ramada cause procrastinators have to seize the moment... Yep, rooms are getting tight for those who are of a picky nature. Example... found a nice creek side room with large hot tub at Jonathan Creek... last one available for event dates... doesn't work for this trip.

Great here! Still energized about the Slingshot and having a ball. So many other projects, (busted computers), hobbies, toys... and so little time. Just been informed to start planning for Maggie Valley... wife won't be able to attend this year but was told to take my daughter. Fun times ahead!
If you happen to see some junk laying around DDM... go ahead and load it up... might be treasure to us po' boys.
    Drive safe.

The helicopter community uses the term "autorotate" when defining a semi-non-controlled helo landing....done correctly, it is indeed a "gentle crash."

Well, technically a landing is a controlled crash... it becomes the point at which you are no longer flying. Failure to use the landing gear or skids removes the controlled part...

Nice video there @Samowens44... air space seemed to be a little crowded... Nice piloting.

Looks good from here. Pics do that. Got some good base mods in it. Steering, gear shift, floor mats, cold air intake. Leaves it wide open for the expensive stuff. Only thing not addressed was the recall work... that will be covered under warranty but more than likely it will come out of your time. And that break in mileage is already done....

Congrats! Keep us posted and welcome to the world of Slingshot ownership.

Just saying. Think about how many people had to not be paying attention when this went down.

Slingshots are not the only things that hydroplane...

But, when you do it on this level, large groups of people get excited!

What do you want to be...

Started with my dad about my freshman year of high school...
WTH? Can I get on with school?

Then I enlisted in the Air Force...
Where do you expect this to take you in the future...
Minot, North Dakota or Bumfuzzled, Egypt???

Retired and took my first real civilian job....
Where do you see yourself in ten years...
    Seeking other employment???

    And so it continues today...
Never ever had the right answer for anyone...

But, after sixty-one years, I believe I found the answer...
And it's not from wisdom or any a-ha moment...

    Pretty simplistic really...
I want to be around. That's all.

Around, at least until I no longer have an interest in toys...
At that time, you can throw the dirt over my face.

Filed all the motions, all denied, finally called BS! Told my lawyer, if they got it let's see it! Bring it to court... hearing scheduled for late January...

    win/win for the lawyers :00000003:

Dropped by the Polaris factory today here in Huntsville, Alabama. Thought it would be easier to deal with them in person rather than go through a dealer. Approached the building from near the flag poles. Only door I could find open was the door to the visitation center. Gal at the desk asked if she could help me. Told her I would like to pick up a swingarm and fuel line to address the recall on my Slingshot. Before she could answer, the security guard made his presence known by inquiring if there was a problem. Apparently, folks up north of us are a little more skittish... it wasn't like I walked in there with a shotgun and demanded a fair deal.

Okay, most of that was BS... except for the security guard, he was a little more tense than he needed to be.

Actually, @Guardian_Angel had a job interview... if I can get someone on the inside, I should be able to get parts for my Sling in about two weeks.

Managed to snap a spy photo of their prototype All Terrain Slingshot and get out the gate before the guard could stop us...

...and now back to our regular scheduled program.

    Making it 801, @Jeff Welter!

Welcome to all who have signed up!

I have narrowed it down to two reasons for folks to be here.

    1) A need to know,
    2) A good time.

With that... you need to know, for a good time, call 867-5309. Ask for Jenny.

If @rabtech answers.... you're drunk, just stay home!

    Scott made them

Yep, Scott isn't running those big fat splash fender panels behind the front tires... So, he fabricated those panels to keep things from jumpin' in the cab with him. By not running the fenders, he says it gives him about a two second lead... which he really, really needs. Had a ball in Maggie Valley riding with Scott on the Dragon and the Rattler. Nobody passed him on these rides, and please, don't anyone burst his bubble... He was the ride leader.

(All kiddin' aside, if he didn't want you to keep up with him, you didn't!)

    Thanks Scott and Nikki.
