Tongues all stuck to a frozen steel bar.. Fastest 10 to rip loose, when signaled to do so, are qualifiers for the next round of games!

Red Rocket

Victory was a helluva fine bike (I rode a 2011 Cross Country), but they made some insane decisions starting around 2012 or so... First, they began releasing "customized/chopped" versions of their bikes, then the "Boardwalk" was a dismal flop, then they yanked the Kingpin and Visions, then suddenly their version of a new model release was to bring out yet another Cross Country with a different wheel, rake,or paint... Suddenly the Victory lineup consisted of a half dozen different models of the same bike, the Cross Country.
So now they want to drop the edgy bikes that were so popular that they ALLOWED them to buy Indian, Motul, create Slingshot, etc. The only things that should have been dropped, were the designers, engineers, and VP's that have obviously made some very piss poor decisions along the way.
Meanwhile our Slingshots continue sitting, awaiting new recall parts, again!

But what happens if they get wet, or dare I say get fed after midnight..?

You know the rule - pics or it didn't happen.
And another thread epicly derailed. -
That Kriss is one sweet ass shooting gun.Everyone that shoots it just LOVES it.
I still have not shot my latest addition to the family.
Can't wait to shoot the IWI Tavor.
Another eater of my 5.56 stockpile, LOLI had one of the 1st FDE Tavors sold, and then converted it to 9mm as soon as the kits were released at ShotShow... 3 weeks ago I received my long awaited Tax Stamp for a RatWorx ZRX internal suppressor for my Tavor. It sounds equivalent to a .22 rifle shooting high quality subsonic ammo without a can attached.

It doesn't get any worse than your product actually burning to the ground at a Corporate Sponsored Owners Event.....
Like when Bill Gates himself was on stage in Chicago unveiling a new version of Windows, and got the blue screen of death..?

Just read your last post. Hopefully it will stay cleared
As I said, we're keeping our fingers crossed!! 'X'..
At the very least, it is now registered in the system for having thrown the #065551 code and being reset both manually and digitally. The tech said the owner called him from their other shop somewhere in Florida last week, asking about locating the Knock Sensor because he had a customer that came in with the exact same issue. They took these same steps to resolve that unit. -
I ended up removing the left fender bolts so that I could spread it back a bit, and that gave me a direct path to the knock sensor plug.. I unplugged it and plugged it back in a couple of times, then started my Slingshot about 20 times, but the code wouldn't clear, and the ChkEngine light never went off.
I then disconnected the battery and ECM and waited a few mi utes before reconnecting those, but to no avail, so I decided to drive over to my dealer to have them clear the codes via Digital Wrench, and so far so good. We're just going to keep our fingers crossed at this point (and eyes, toes, and anything else we can think of!) that everything is now operating as it should.
The Srvc Tech did find several orher codes in the system that were not cleared the last couple of times that I brought it in to the shop.Anyway, THANK YOU guys for all of your assistance!!

Not that many yet, maybe a 1/2 dozen...
Is it possible to easily REMOVE the starter to gain good access..? My issue is mobility, due to having all of the metal in my back, and I'm unable to squeeze my hands into the space required to be able to unplug/replug the connector.
-
If you can unplug it and plug it back in then start it and shut it off about 5 to 10 times I bet it clears.
@rabtech - Unfortunately I could only barely touch the connector enough to press it in harder.. I tried to remove it, but was unable to do that without removing any engine components.. If I could REMOVE the starter, it would be easy to get to from the bottom, but I'm unsure if it would be safe to do so.. It does appear that the starter is only held in place with 2 very easly accessible bolts, but if there is a 3rd I'm screwed because it would be on the top and would require the removal of the intake maniffold, which I would rather not have to dig down too.. lol
Suggestions..?

I located the sensor plug and pressed it in as hard as I could, in the hopes that it may have come loose and simply needed a better connection to be made, and then I unplugged the ECU and disconnected the battery, but that didn't seem to resolve the issue.
I did seem to locate and resolve the issue in the rear end.. That was a bundle of wires in a wrap, thay had dropped down and was being beaten against the U-Joint directly in front of the Angle Drive.. Apparently a service tech somewhere/sometime had cut the nylon wire ties that had that bundle secure..

Ahhhh, thank you guys so much!! I'll go try to work on it now.

Arghhhh!!
Just this morning my ChkEngine light came on, showing code #65551 and below that "5", though I was unable to scroll through any other apparent codes..
I also have a bizarre sound eminating from the rear end, that sounds like a stick or strap or something of the sort that is stuck in the belt pully and slapping the plastic panels as it rotates. It is not a metallic sound, but it is tied to speed, just as the bearings were (those have already been replaced once).. My Slingshot was in the shop again a couple of weeks ago for our 2nd set of replacement brake sensors, and severe squeeling at the front pully. The shop replaced the switches, then adjusted and greased the belt, which made that particular noise go away, but then this new "slapping" noise appeared just a few days later..
At this point, I'm about to set this f'ing thing on fire and push it off a cliff! We have a vacation in 2 weeks that has been postponed time and time again, because every time we would get ready to go somewhere, our Slingshot would end up back in the shop!!
