I bit the bullet and ordered the Stage 3 speakers in Neon Fade from my dealer yesterday. They're back ordered until at least the middle of March.

I ordered ours the Saturday after Thanksgiving for our 2021 stealth blue. Called the dealership yesterday for an update and was told the status from Polaris was "supply chain disruption".

For me the jury is still out on the C8. It might be a matter of exposure since I've only seen 3 or 4. It definitely gets your attention but maybe it's a little too exotic. I know if I drive one I'll be hooked on the mid-engine but I doubt I'll get that chance unless I make some wealthier friends. If I could afford one it would be a tough call between the C8 and a C3 (simple solution: one of each) I will say that there is NOTHING about the C7 that I don't like.

I have been a passenger in a C8 and was reminded more of the Sc560 the same guy owns. Impressive as all get out, but I liked my old 92 C4 better as far as looks and the way her while hood opened like a Slingshot.

I feel your pain. We haven't been able to ride down here in Florida for DAYS. Temps will finally be in the high 70's today through the weekend. Going to have to put on sunscreen and enjoy my ride in an hour or so

We braved the elements here in NE Florida yesterday and rode down to American Legion #250 and had a couple beers while it was still 77F. We managed to head out before sunset and made it home without frostbite. :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

Rws904 Yes RW i purchased it from Holeshot Powersports. This is number 4 I've purchased from them.

I thought they were all great folks up there. Your username reminds me of our recently retired county commissioner, he hosted a cane grinding party last month. Got a short vid of my Yankee wife feeding cane into a grinder after we had a great meal. We are so blessed to live in Middleburg!

    Thanks for all the replies.

We decided to go with the factory color matched speakers for our '21 stealth blue back in November. I'd love to tell you how they worked out for us but they still haven't arrived. The price was more than we liked but I wanted the paint to match without me having to fool with it.

Well there is really not a lot of places to go here in NE Florida like the rides you guys take. L have gotten so I hate to leave Clay County where I live.

DJohnson, we are right there with you as far as hating to leave Clay county! Looking forward to running into you in the near and warmer future. We've only been to Island Girl cigar bar twice in the SS since my surgery earlier this month but I'm ready to roll when we thaw out.

    Hi Slinglow,

I may be interested in a set for our 2021 R, I just have a few questions.

    What are the dimensions?

    Steel or aluminum?

    Painted or powder coated?

Holes large enough for bungee cord hooks?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rick

Kubota makes some beautiful machines, congratulations!

Several years ago we were going back and forth on sub compact tractors, Kubota or a comparable John Deere. We bought a John Deere 1025R package from the dealership a couple miles up the road.

My wife wanted the Deere simply because the Kubota didn't match the color of our house. Win-win either way ^^

Supposed to get into the high 60's today in NE Florida. Haven't been in our Sling since new years day due to surgery last week. I managed to drive both tractors yesterday to pack down the gravel we had delivered.

Hoping we can go for a ride this afternoon. Told my wife if I can drive an 8N with bad brakes and a sticky clutch, I can drive the SS, but she might have to help me get out of it. She is skeptical but I'm hard headed. wish me luck!

I have been looking at 2020 and newer automatic slingshots for the past 3 months for my parents. What I have found out is that they are expensive and in demand. I did find one for them a couple of weeks ago or I would be definitely calling on this one that popped up yesterday. It is in Florida and know nothing about it except the price is right for an r model automatic.

We bought our 2021 R from Holeshot last fall. Das was our sales rep and Patrick handled the paperwork on the finance side. Great bunch of guys there.

Lol. Just trying to participate or something. As EJ said that much accumulation is rare here. Went out to pull the kids around the sled. Slingshot needed a bath anyways so I figured why not. Let it sit with the cockpit cover for about an hour, snatched the cover off and snapped a quick pic, and back in the garage it went.

Grew up in Michigan, joined the Navy and stayed in the south. Love that picture!

I started riding bikes ( well a 50 cc Moped by Sears ) at 13 yoa and still riding Slingshots today at 73 yoa , which should be Older than Dirt or at least Pond Water ???

I bought our Slingshot right after I turned 50 this past year. Miss my Ducati and Kawasaki ZRX-1100 ELR sometimes but love this thing more.

As far as age goes, I am blessed to know some of the youngest 70+ year old hot rodders in the world. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I hope to join your ranks one day!

Rws904 I see that you’re in a newbie to the site as of August. 😎

    Welcome aboard!

Thanks SoCal! We rented a Slingshot while vacationing in Utah last August and were both hooked after a 24 hour rental.

Stumbled across this site and have all of you to thank (blame?) for biting the bullet and ordering our Stealth Blue R when we got home. Best financially irrational decision we ever made.

Absolutely love this thing and can't wait to heal up and get back on the road soon!
