    Yes, very interesting lecture with no agenda ..... points out both sides, gives a good history of how we arrived here, and does not push or judge where we end up ...


    He did however skillfully point out the failure of the modern Republican party to fully embrace, explain, and fight for what it means to be "conservative" ...

    With the Indiana Senate race tightening up its looking like the Libertarian candidate may split the conservative vote enough that doesn't flip ... so much that there are reports some big time out of state Dem organizations are giving $$$$ to Lucy Brenton's (L) campaign even though she is only poling at 3% ..... if true, and she is taking it, doesn't that put her in the same group you described @edwardaneal

    What you have here is a perfect example of the reason the Libertarian party never gets off the ground ...


    In a general sense Libertarians are closer aligned to Republicans than Democrats .... where the majority of Libertarians will vote for a Republican if no Libertarian in on the ballot but very few Democrats will vote Libertarian if given the choice ....


    Currently the NM Senate race looks like this .... An Albuquerque Journal poll found Heinrich (D) leading with 47 percent to Rich's (R) 26 percent and Johnson's (L) 16 percent.


    So with a Libertarian and Republican in the mix you split the conservative leaning vote and hand the office to the Democrat ...

    SC boost is directly relative to RPM so boost pressure is hard set with pulley size .. for a centrifugal SC the "blow off valve" is there as a safety device, not a performance adjuster unless you are purposely limiting max boost at high RPM.


    When you let off the throttle your SC is still making boost as engine RPM drops. This pressure slams into the closed TB and has nowhere else to go but back out the way it came in. This causes the compressor wheel to enter a state known as axi-symmetric stall, putting vibration and torque stresses on your compressors rotating assembly.
    Compressor surges can cause bearing failure, imbalance, and compressor wheel/housing contact, or colloquially known in automotive culture as "bad times". The "blow off valve" prevents this.

    Was born here (my Father insisted my Mother return to a base in the states for both my and my sisters birth) but didn't live on US soil again until I was in middle school ... spent more of my life in other countries than my own but am working on correcting that ...


    I have yet to find anywhere I would rather live no matter what and was more grateful every time I returned home .... would be a nice change of pace to be shot at defending my own property .....

    Welcome to another edition of ...... President Trump has a way of making people do some really stupid things....


    The Dems and certain news agencies are giving the "migrant caravan" as little air play as possible so not to rally conservatives .....


    So last night in TX the President challenges the MSM to "go into the middle of the caravan" where he claims they will find criminals, MS-13 members, and "middle easterners" ..then like little puppies they scamper down to Mexico in an effort to prove the President wrong .. and today caravan coverage is up by 30% and growing .....

    My favorite was last night a Telemundo reporter talking about how families and little kids are the majority of migrants in the caravan as a hundred or so young and middle aged men stream past his camera location with more as far as the camera can see.... think I saw one young woman and not a single child the entire segment .... talk about poor location choice ....

    With all the "revelations" tonight I thought it might be nice to let my friends here know some things the hysterical media won't tell you since all they seem to care about is Khashoggi was "one of them" ...... just a simple reporter speaking truth to power ........


    Khashoggi was an adviser to former Saudi intelligence chief Turki al-Faisal when he was ambassador to London, then Washington. Khashoggi reportedly joined the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1970s and continued to advocate for political Islam. In writings he called Osama Bin Laden a friend and mourned his death. It appears that Khasshogi may have been something like Riyadh’s back channel to al-Qaeda, at least prior to 9/11.


    So how did a former Saudi official with ties to intelligence services, connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, and a long history with a terrorist responsible for nearly 3,000 deaths on U.S. soil obtain permission to live and work in the US?


    Khashoggi must have important American patrons, because even though he reportedly moved to the United States in 2017, he already had a green card. According to the Washington Post’s David Ignatius: “Friends helped Khashoggi obtain a visa that allowed him to stay in the United States.” So who vouched for him and why?


    It might be useful to put these questions to former CIA director John Brennan. He was station chief in Riyadh from 1996-1999, when Khashoggi’s patron Turki al-Faisal was head of Saudi’s general intelligence directorate.
