LOVE THIS IDEA!! One of the reasons I have not purchased a top is because I do not want to remove my windscreen that The Pack provided me with! It is very sentimental! This I bet would still work with a wind deflector!
Ill be watching closely!!

Thank you folks!! As we prepare to get things moving for this 2019 year we would like to tell you folks how much we appreciate your support and the support of the Slingshot community! There were soooooo many names that were left out of our video but we want you all to know that we couldn’t be more thankful enough to be in a position where we are able to keep the business thriving and in the hands of a “small vendor” style setting. Our motto will always be that of “by the enthusiasts, for the enthusiasts” and hope you folks will continue to support us as we grow!!

Sorry if the video goes sideways as my cameraman started it in portrait mode then tried to change to landscape about half way through. There is a better version on Facebook at https://m.facebook.com/groups/…k&id=2253539364679362

Hello all and sorry for my absence! It's hard to explain a situation or even offer an excuse when someone pays for an item that has been long overdue on delivery! I am truly sorry that we have yet to fulfill the last 2 orders of jackets that were placed in late May. Due to limited availability on products from our vendor and then 2 close deaths in our family. Business in a holistic manner has suffered greatly.
This post is no means a cry for sympathy and we are truly sorry for the delay to @MiM and
Ross. We have offered a full refund and will still fulfill the orders on our end just as soon as we can get things back in order. My 9yr old nephew's funeral will be this Saturday Nov 10th and then we will have a week off to work on all our behind orders both slingshot related and standard orders here locally.
Once we can confirm availability of more wind breakers we will do another offer to the forum members! Please bear with us as we get through this tough time and we hope you understand!
Thank you,
Jonathan

Display Moreyup - he's ok
Ran into a rough spot with an aunt that could use some get well wishes and prayers
Being the typical A100 awesome guy he is with the fires close by they have been keeping busy because they took it upon themselves to help out with some fundraisers for the firefighters and EMS buy selling t-shirts and donating proceeds to help them keep the fight going
Even had to replace his big printing machine
This is just another member of our family who goes above and beyond without a peep or whimper
@STYLN you sir are an inspiration
Thank you folks for the sincere concern! It warms my heart to know my presence is missed!
2 months ago my aunt was diagnosed with Bone Marrow cancer in her jaw. What started out as what we thought(as well as the doctors) was an abscess in her tooth became a full blow diagnosis of cancer a month later! Being a nurse, my instinct just kicked in and we have been at the hospital with her weekly. Good news is that she is now in rehab and able to come home tomorrow(Monday 8/21!).
As most of you know California has been on fire again and the beautiful Yosemite National Forest has been scorched pretty badly(just reopened last week after a closure due to the fire). A close friend of mine works for Cal Fire and we asked if we could produce some shirts and sell them then donate the proceeds back to the Cal Fire dept for use to help families and victims that have lost homes, property or loved ones....they agreed and we sold over 4000 shirts to the public raising over $35,000!! It was amazing how communities came together to help in such a huge way! My screen printing partner and several others all helped in organizing our idea and it has paid off well for those in need!
We really appreciate everyone of our brothers and sisters here and cannot be more grateful to be a part of this community! It is very humbling to see so many folks come together and appreciate one another even beyond our favorite hobbies!
Our business suffered a major hit when one of our main printers went down like @Ross said but we are now back up and running with an upgraded model and all at the cost of the manufacturer! I guess in life good deeds have a way of being recognized.
Thank you everyone again from the bottom of our hearts in these tough times and we will be posting some pics on our page soon with some new things we have done to the purple beast!
Jonathan

A bigger shout out goes to @KayTwo for all his hard work organizing the donations. He hit me up way back in April asking if we could help so I know he has been on this for quite some time! Kudos to you brother for your continued support and generosity in our community!
@MiM those holders were some of the first things we did back in TDS days. Those were my last four I had so I threw them together knowing they were going for a good cause. Not sure if we will be carrying those exact ones but I’m sure I could find you something similar.
Be safe fellas and have a great trip!

There is only one engine that we know of that has had an issue with our kit, however it was not on our base kit that we have for sale and was running higher boost pressures.
I'm interested to know who this particular set up belongs to @Dave@DDMWorks You can PM me if you like because I am interested in discussing some things further about your SC kit.
Thanks
Jonathan
Just received a donation for the festivities from @SlingMods_Josh. A whole bunch of t-shirts and ballcaps for prizes. Thank you, sir!
Guess I'll be pretty freighted down on my way to Sundre... Got donations from @Ruptured Duck and @mytoy, and now Slingmods. Working on a few more, plus some other goodies....looks like those racks are coming in handy, @SlingLow!
Your raffle/giveaway items from us should be leaving Friday towards you! Have a good and safe event!
I would suggest going to http://www.prismaticpowders.com and doing a thorough search for what you are looking for. They have QUALITY powders and over 6500 colors to choose from. If they don't have it you can send them a sample of what you are trying to match and they will make it (for a fee of course!). Very good customer service as well. They are based out of White city, Oregon (I think) so if you are trying to match a Sling color maybe someone could drive over to their location and get us some answers!!
@Bill Martin Can yousend me your stock pulley? I have an idea and Ill send it back to you! That is if you havent put it back o yet!
Maybe he got bogged down with requests from threads like this. Maybe.
I would hope so but my wife tells me "I'm and ignore-able kinda guy!" LMAO in other words maybe thats the same as an ASSHOLE! HAHAHAHA
He started looking into a quote for me in Cali and then never got back to me....I guess my coverage and policy was better than what he could offer.
I was just about to hit the confirm order button when I didnt see a damn PURPLE OPTION!! Can we order in a raw top??!! Make it a sexy raw top at that!!
Seriously tho, great job buddy! happy to see this come to life after all your hard work! You will do big things with this light kit from what we have all seen!
Love ya man!
Is anyone interested in another jacket sale?
We have had some request trickle in and I thought if we get 20 more sold I can get the distributor to honor our previous cost to keep the price the same! Let me know if your interested in a pm and I’ll give you details!

Pay the deposit at Auto Zone and borrow to do the job. Return and get your money back.
And whats it called? A rear caliper compressor tool thingy??
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU HUMP BACK NINJA!!
Display MoreWhen installing the new pads into the Slingshot you have to compress the pistons, because as the brake pads wear the pistons push further out. On the front calipers this is a simple procedure of compressing the piston with a big pair of vice grips, C clamp or actual piston compressor. On the back caliper though, because of the parking brake, you have to rotate the piston as you compress it. By rotating the piston it allows the parking brake mechanism to also go back in at the same time basically. There are special tools that allow you to do this, some people use a pair of needle nose pliers in the piston holes to rotate and push at the same time as a cheap alternative also. If you try to just compress the back piston, the piston will not go in properly.
As for the pads, they are the same front and back, you can also play with the Hawk part number to get different pad options. For those that do not know how the hawk pad part number works, here you go -
HB275Z.620 is the common ceramic part number for the Slingshot and that part number breaks down like this -
"HB" is for Hawk Brakes
"275" is the pad shape
"Z" is the compound of the brake pad
".620" is the thickness of the pads
So, if you want to check on a different pad material for the same car, you can just change the letter in the part number to any of the other pad compounds available from Hawk and see if they make it -
HB275F.620 is for HPS
HB275B.620 is for 5.0 Pads
HB275N.620 is for HP PLus pads and so on.
Hope that helps,
Dave
What is the tool called and where can I buy it? Thanks
