The wife and I took our Slingshot for a ride around the Valley of the Sun. Two stops, one to hike on one of the newer trails on the South side of South Mountain Park and the other for lunch. Beautiful day.

Took a 136 mile ride around the Valley of the Sun yesterday. Perfect day for riding. Went with the Elks Riders to raise money for the Arizona Elks Youth Camp and the Steele Children's Research Center in Tucson. Love riding in our Sling! Great fun and comradery.

Took our 2021 R Slingshot /Manual Transmission on a 199 mile ride with the Elks Riders in AZ. Nice Ride and even had a 2nd Slingshot a 2021 SL Manual ride with us. Went to the River Bottom Grill for breakfast and the Eloy Skydiving Jump School to watch the skydiving and then to Raceway Bar and Grill in Maricopa. Great Day!!

Display MoreJust shy of 1500 miles this trip - Amazing in that the highest temps we had were only in the high 90's and even some jacket weather thrown in. Very nice for this time of year in the desert.
And this is not a CA bashing moment BUT the people of Arizona are/were so pleasant, accommodating, and all around nice people! And not a mask to be found.
Yes, trying hard to get the word out that I have never had a flu nor wore a mask. I love living in AZ for that reason. Glad you had a good trip here.

Took our Slingshot on a 240 mile ride around AZ stopping at various veterans memorials with the Nation of Patriots Flag Tour, Had a great time and we had 87 motorcycles and 3 Slings. The Flag tour raises money to help veterans and goes through all 50 states (yes Hawaii and Alaska are separate, but the 48 states are contiguous. Had a blast including a police escort through Payson, AZ. At the end of the day we had dinner at the Elks Lodge in Chandler, AZ. We had great weather today, but the previous 2 days on the ride it was quite windy we were told. Love doing rides with the Elks Riders Motorcycle club. So nice to see patriots who love America and the honor they give to people who fought for freedom. As it is said "freedom is not free" as a serious price was paid.

I set in my SS and tried to get Apple Car Play to work. I am about to give up but I don't think many SS owners are having much luck either. Some one on another forum gave instructions on how to do it but I am having no luck. I did enjoy sitting in the Sling listening to the rain on the Sling Port tarp roof. No pics.
I understand wanting music its why i have a big USB drive of songs, but I would never support Apple any longer, like Coke and Disney. I refuse to live in China.

And I have only had a flu once in my entire life and no i never got a flu shot. Everyone I know who got a flu shot got the flu.

Almost 6,000 "breakthrough cases" of Americans becoming infected with coronavirus despite vaccination have been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – far less than 1% of the 76 million Americans who are fully vaccinated. The CDC also told CNN in an email that almost 400 of the 5,800 cases required hospitalization and 74 died. More than 40% of the infections were in people 60 or over, 65% were female and 29% were asymptomatic, the CDC said.
Infections despite vaccination were anticipated – the two-shot Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines have proved to be more than 90% effective and the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine about 70%. But no vaccine is 100% effective, experts say.
