I have a set of Masterlock Street cuffs that I lock from the steering wheel and over to the frame - this will keep anyone out of the drivers seat when I'm not there and I turn the wheels before putting the lock on so the Slingshot can't even be rolled in a straight line - - yes it far from a 100% guarantee but that's what the insurance is for

This is what I use too

Amen to that. I got an offer to drive a boosted sling a couple of years ago and knew better than to do it.... My wife asked why I didn't take them up on their offer on the way home and told her that the credit card couldn't take what would have happened to it if I had taken it for a drive. A man has to know his weaknesses

I hear that! I wouldn't drive one if given the opportunity either.

Like what I'm reading about the brace from DDMWorks. I'm not a drag racer or tire burner but I do love to bring the power up hard on exit of corners in the mountains. Mr. Dave would you say those same forces are being generated by my riding as you those who like to drag or burn? I'm thinking of adding that brace to my SS and I'm sure I already know your answer. Ordered a few minutes ago!

I like it. And where would a person find the carbon fiber stuff?

Wow reading your post reminds me when i use to testify in court for speeding tickets, 1/2 of my testimony was on the calibration of the radar gun that i used and if that half of testimony wasnt exactly right, ticket thown out......radar guns have to be calibrated every 12 months

Roger that! I was in that same line of work with the same equipment...

Edward Neal - I get it! My first bout with this was with the phone stick on magnet - heat and gooo and nothing more than a sticky dash. I am putting the velcro stick-on in the back with hopes it will stay there ...

BUT can you put a magnet set up on these?? Will the magnet mess with the electronics in the unit??

    Thoughts??

Don't know about the magnets. I used double sided tape and mounted it between the steering column and the center dash back out of the way. I don't use the head to change settings so I wanted it out of the sun and the rain. I use my phone to change settings if I need to change anything and again once you get it in the sweet spot for your kind of driving you really don't need to change it.

I run the pedalMax version and love it. Got it used so that helped $ wise. After turbo I went back to having it off just for that 1st ride, then quickly realized I wanted it back on as the pedal is just weird to me now without it. Totally a feel thing and I like being able to control it. I do flip off when pulling up, then quickly reversing to back in etc... as it will oscillate if I don't give it two seconds or turn off. So in the habit now of pulling up, flip it off, then back up. I know they are very similar, but curious if the pedal commander does that as well when going from gear to reverse quickly.

First time I've heard of it. I've not felt it with mine. One of the reasons I went with the pedal commander was the Bluetooth connection. I don't change it so it really didn't make a difference.

The last missing piece of the puzzle. Another good thing that came with my Sling but was never installed. Cold air intake, Header, ceramic exhaust, pedal commander. This is the most under the hood goodies I have ever had can’t wait to get it out for a test drive!

I installed the app so I will control it from my phone and tuck it in up under the dash.

I added the "Pedal Commander" a few months ago. It does take the lag out of the system. After some experimenting I settled in on the "sport +1" setting. That being said a +2 or +3 might be good if you got used to it. I tried the "sport +" setting and the accelerator was too abrupt. Again I'm not saying if you drove with it all that time in the setting that you couldn't get used to it but it's real touchy....

Elevation, Speed, Lat, Picture in picture - dude! U R A Pro!

Naw, the software does most of it. Garmin thought it out quite a while ago. There are soooooo many more variables you can add like G's. That's quite interesting. I have some recordings where it registered 1.2 G's. I think that's quite a bit for the little sling. Maybe not...lol

drfubar Thank you. Those are the ones I picked out and put on my list. Guess I better get them on order but I don't see any days in the near furture above 72 degrees to put my Chaser lights on. We had scheduled to do it in my son's garage today but it isn't heated and the forecast called for a max of 72 but his garage probably wouldn't warm to 72 and only for a very short time if it did. It got to 68 is all today. Might be a month or so.

68? Well that's tee shirt and short weather sir.

@ drfubar What would scare me the most is going off the back side of the ramps. Never did that with my cars or trucks but came close. I can see front end plastic flying all over. Maybe a 4x4 set the right distance to stop the rear tire would help. The incline of your ramps don't look real steep so that probably helps. What brand are they? Now if I could just keep from spinning my rear tire I so that often just backing out of my Slingport.

Don't know, just a cheap old brand of ramps. All three ramps have a lip on them so as not to go too far. I mean if you're hitting them at 30mph then yes I guess you could jump the rear lip but if y'all are paying attention you won't. It's not that difficult, really. I also use them in the yard down by the house for washing the SS. They sit in gravel and still work fine.
