Well, that's a bummer. Think I may pass too, then. I had stuff I really needed to do this weekend anyway. What's the next event many of the members here go to, besides Maggie Valley?

Okay, who all is still in for the Murphy Get-together this coming weekend and where are you staying.
I plan on being up in Murphy around 1 pm or so and staying at The Murphy Motel. Would like to meet up with others for dinner Friday night.
I plan to arrive late afternoon Friday. Head home some time Monday. (staying at the Holiday Inn Express.)

Looking better....

The big brake kit is only needed if you want to look cool or if you are doing serious track days, or stops from 160+ mph
Not really, probably not, and no friggin' way
-
You DO NOT NEED the big brake kit, if you feel the need make it the last thing on your list.
That's good, because that big brake kit is $3,600! Ouch.

A list for you
DDM Short Shift kit
Coilovers
Sway Bar & mounts
Pedal Commander - you already have this one
On the advice of FunCycle I've also added the master cylinder brace and Hawk brake pads to your suggested items list.
-
Modest outlay when faced with you dilemma is adj shocks, sway bar and better brake pads. After listening and asking questions ( my fellow riders were very patient) I went with DDM and their gear is super. I have not been disappointed. Each of us will have a preference of course. Latest improvement is PC and that will make you smile. Have some fun and get your Christmas goodies now.

Yeah, shocks have risen to the top of my wish list over the last few days. The stock sling ride is pretty harsh, and I keep reading posts about how upgraded shocks make a huge difference. Yeah, DDMWorks appears to be the gold standard on a lot of stuff around here. I'll probably go with their 3-ways if I do shocks. Will definitely go with their turbo kit if I can ever gather up the nerve to pull the rigger on that.
-
I still run the stock wheels and no boost, I am still NA but have over $10,000 in mods. If I were starting again it would just be performance mods.
Yeah, I'm not really too much into purely cosmetic stuff. The Sling looks pretty awesome straight out of the box. My money has been going to functional stuff so far. Things to improve the riding experience. However, the engine compartment is another story. I really want a Pearl Red valve cover, and if I get a TC, the charge tubes will be red, for sure

..if there's one thing I learned from LIFE is you can't take it with you when your expiration date arrives SO enjoy it now !
Indeed.

I'll donate to yours if you donate to mine
That's a great idea! I'll donate $100 to yours for every year of your age if you do the same for me .

it’s like there are different camps involving mods.
Some are happy to leave them stock or near stock.....I think that’s a small group.
Some want the latest and greatest...small to medium priced mods...lights, roofs, driving performance items....the majority IMO
Some go hog wild with turbos, quad packs...big money items.
I’m over $8000....and my roof was already on mine when I bought it..I’m heavily in group #2...there I’ve admitted my addiction...(well at least to one)....I don’t see me advancing into group #3....my mod addiction is somewhat under control...I’m not ready for meetings or interventions...yet.I'm afraid I'm dangerously close to being part of group 3. It's odd too, because when I rode Harley's the dealer would always try to talk me into stage 2 or 3 kits and I was never really interested. I did put a larger intake, mufflers and a tuner (stage 1) on my 2016 Ultra Limited, but that's as far as I ever went. It's something about the driving experience (and appearance) of the SS that makes me what to tinker with the performance. I'm sure if I was married, there would have been in intervention about $1,000 ago . But you know what they say YOLO.

Yep I only put $7000 in my
Oh, I don't mean total. I've already spent over a $1,500 on mine in just what, 4 months of ownership, just at slingmods alone, and none of it was on performance stuff (well except the pedal commander, I guess). No, I don't mean I can $7k and I'm done. I mean 7k MORE would empty out my CURRENT SS wish list. It will fill right back up again

I second SoCal, if you are going shocks, the DDM are the best bang for the buck on 3 ways.
SZurlo this forum is the worst for trying to not buy mods, you read about how great they are from others talking about them on here and you just want to have as much fun.
I've had mine about 9 months of riding, 12k miles, way too much money spent, and enjoying every minute of it.
All I need is about $7,000 and I could get everything I want (right now). Maybe I should start a gofundme

You will enjoy the road course track, getting to run at your own speed and not having a blue light coming after you
I got to ride the track at Darlington a few years back on my Harley. Here is some GoPro video I took of it.

In your area you should be able to ride all year long. Check out the Rallies at http://www.SlingshotRoadsters.com ---- End of May - early June Slingshot in the Smokies in Maggy Valley, NC. Probably be close to 500 Slingshots there for the week. Be able to see and experience about every thing that can be done to a Slingshot. LOts of us will take you for a ride/let you drive so you can experience windshields, tops, or boosted...
I already have hotel reservations

SZurlo get LOTS of seat time in.... Lots of things you can do to these great machines....
I'm working on it. Got it in August and have almost 4k miles on it.

So, I have a very serious case of Slingshot Upgrade Indecision Disorder. I rode Harleys for years, and never had this problem to this extent with them. I've had my SS for less than 6 months and I'm darting around between slingmods, slingshotsonly, twist dynamics and DDMworks sites like I just ingested 5 Red Bulls and an eightball. I bought one of those billet gas caps yesterday just so I could get off the computer and go to bed. The worst part is the big ticket items. Like tops and forced induction. I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a top and then I decided maybe a stage 1 TC would give me more joy for the buck, (screw the factory SS warranty). While I was waffling back and forth between the top and the TC, I found a thread where a bunch of folks said if they had to do it again, their first upgrade would be shocks. You can spend a couple grand on shocks!! But man, it would be nice to just dial in a smoother ride when I wanted it. I'm like a 5 year old at Toy's R Us with a $10 gift card.
SSUID. The struggle is real.

And another one that is always flashing "12:00" that you only drive at midnight and noon

Not looking too bad. Hope that rain on Friday stays on Friday...

Surprisingly enough, there are some really good instructions on the website.
Setting the Ride Command clock (with and without GPS)
From the last paragraph:
"If you don’t enable GPS time or your RIDE COMMAND is not equipped with GPS, set the clock on the Multi-Function Display on the dashboard using the instructions above. The time set on your Multi-Function Display also will display on your RIDE COMMAND display."
