I've got one in mine and we have 2 slingshots in our shop getting them as well.
so freaking sexy. How hard are these puppies to install?

Display MoreNew PRP seats came today!
Install wasn't as easy as the 5-minute video from Slingmods indicated, but no surprises there. 1st issue was that the 4 bolts holding the seatback on were poorly made - had to retap threads on all 4.
Once that was done and the extra vinyl cut away from the bolt holes with an X-acto, things went more smoothly. Got the seat base out okay.
Total install time for first seat, 2-1/2 hours. Really looks good, comfortable, more room! Tweed fabric will be wonderful in both warm & cool weather (much better than vinyl!)
I did spring for the heated seats; they came with a wiring harness, but absolutely no instructions! I'm going to have to get a little help from my friends on this one!
First seat 💺 looks great... gonna tackle the passenger side tomorrow!
looks fantastic. Seats are on my mod list after suspension.
That sucks for sure. I have heard of several over the years being stolen from the Miami area. Criminals everywhere so you have to be careful. It can happen in any city.

Indeed. Very sad though, thats probably a slingshot owners main worry come true.
The first question that came to my mind is, where's the market for a stolen Sling? Are they being shipped overseas or are they being disassembled in a chop shop somewhere in Miami and parted out on Ebay?
im not exactly sure but could be a combination of both. Also, it is not necessarily difficult to paint a slingshot and replace the Vin number with another one. There are ways to do this. It was possible in the old days with cars and it is still possible nowadays.
a bit more info
This is NOT my slingshot but someone local that had theirs stolen on May 11th. If any of you guys in the south FL stumble upon it here is the info.
This absolutely boils my blood. Hopefully he had at least insurance on it. God damn bastards.
I have the welter duals with a TD top and madstadd windshield. I literally had to buy a catalytic converter because the fumes were almost unbearable (and i have fairly high tolerance. Cat decreased smell by about 90%. Sounds much better as well.
I’ll go with what wokka said. A cat would decrease fumes by at least 80%.
I found this picture elsewhere in this forum. In this picture, do you agree it looks like the dash is BEHIND and the console sides
are in FRONT?
yup, sure looks like it
With the current situation, dealers are in no position whatsoever to be asking above msrp prices. Also, it should be fairly easy to get a 5k or more discount on a new slingshot. Heck, i would even say the 2020s are not selling well at all and put on top this Covid 19 situation it def wont be a good year for Polaris.
I'm curious how loud it is? I ran the DDM shorty exhaust on my turbo for a couple of weeks, it was quite loud, very drony on the highways at speed, but it did perform well and sounded good.
GF couldn't take it though, and I just like the looks of the welter setup out the rear.
Welter FTW bro
Commander for the win. Bought it in group buy and honestly i wouldn’t drive without it.
Another example that good costumer service and putting the customer FIRST should always be a serious company’s first priority.
Before I put them back on last month I put a coat of Maxcoat Wheelguard wax on them. After a ride I use an Air Force Sidekick blower and they clean right up. When I wash the SS I use a cheapo electric pressure washer but with the wax I have not had to make any extra effort at all, and a hundred yards of my driveway is gravel.
i like that hotrod look you have given your SS. Is there any thread to see the mods you’ve done?
While I had the rear wheel out getting widened I saw a Forgestar style that made me, unlike other SS owners, spend even more ridiculous money for something else. Here is my baby now. They only came in 19's so of course I needed new tires-Nitto Motivo-love a 345..
Other pic shows my Metricks fender back on it.
that 345 looks sweet. Wheels compliment the ride well. I like what you have done so far. Very nice.
If people want to throw away money in brand new cars im all for that (it’s their money) . The 2015 guys had no choice if they wanted the latest and newest toy on the road. After 2016, not so much. I bought my 2017 SLR last year for $18,000 with 1,300 miles. The thing was basically brand new. The only way a slingshot would gain in value and appreciate would be if it gets discontinued in the next years (which could very well happen at this rate).

Happy birthday bud!
Looks like a mild stroke! Great news. With a bit of speech therapy she will be like new in a couple weeks!
gotta start Physical therapy and Occupational theraoy as soon as possible. The first 3-4 months in a stroke patients are the most vital in rehab and getting back to what we call PLOF or prior level of function. Make sure you guys get her into a good , aggresive rehab program. This is vital.
Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes.
A little update, I just talked to Barbie and she is full coherent and has a slurred speech (not so bad), they gave her a lot of meds to dissolve her blood clot.
Thanks again it means a lot to us
