Join the club. I drove off with mine sitting on the sling uninstalled. Blame it on the pretty girl that caused such a distraction! A good idea that's inexpensive is to go to Lowes and pick up one of these. It's made for a lawn mower but fits like a glove. I keep it in my storage compartment for one of those "Oh-crap" moments. Learned it here.

Frankie55 what a fanTAStic production! I would have liked to see some footage of the conductor working. That is a talented and well-directed group of musicians.

Yes it is, some real talent on multiple levels! That conductor is enjoying every second of it. She really does a fabulous job with those kids! The full concert was broadcast on AXS TV. I shut of the lights grabbed a brew and enjoyed it. I'll bet they'll be showing it from time to time. Tommy Shaw and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra.

A few years back I had brick pavers installed. Had three estimates. Two high, one low. After getting the second estimate (low) the third and last job estimate asked politely what the previous estimate was and after hearing the sq. footage replied "please insure they do the job correctly, I would loose money at that rate and couldn't survive" . I chose the lower estimate. They did a good job and they worked hard (I admire them for that) but I firmly believe this is what took place.

None of the workers spoke any English. Most likely they were being paid under the table as most likely this is how they were able to undercut. This is where these corrupt businesses gained an advantage over businesses doing the "real" correct thing yet were being punished for it.

Paying and exploiting cheep labor under the table gains a competitive advantage to win contracts. Paying cheep labor under the table translates into saved money as most likely no health insurance is paid by the employer. Most likely the federal government lost any money paid for tax purposes, increasing national dept. Hiring cheep labor under the table insures that any other company the choses to go the correct legal route will be driven out of business unless they themselves hire under the table. More Americans loosing jobs.

President Trump had a plan to protect American workers. Build a wall and control a process to insure a fair playing field. Not denying, but controlling.

The Democrats plan. No person is illegal. Tear down the wall, $15 minimum wage. Free healthcare, free education. Given my real world situation above any guess which direction small businesses will need to take in order to survive?

I did a long ride today. Really nice day. I'm OK with the results if it goes to Biden. As mentioned it would be a totally different story if the Republican's lost the senate and the conservative leaning supreme court. It is a bit annoying that President Trump worked so hard along with pharmaceutical companies creating a pathway for a vaccine that is just around the corner. Manufacturing inventories are extremely low and Boeing is close to clearing the 737. It's a manufacturing boom just about to happen and the credit will go else ware.

It's still good for me. One thing for sure and it's a catch 22. I don't want anything to happen that will put Harris in charge.

Just one thing, please start showing love and respect for America in our schools!

I re checked mine as well - it says "accepted" and notes that it will be counted - - It looks as if that is as far as thy will go and will not actually tell me when it has been counted or give me a way to verify that the votes were counted as I marked them - - - - From what I read once the ballot envelope is received and the signature verified they mark it accepted, then the ballot is removed from the envelope for counting and at that point they no longer can identify who's ballot it is - they say this is for our privacy

It appears as though each state handles the process a little bit different. I certainly hope my ballot wasn't sitting somewhere for over three weeks with a glitch and in turn it wasn't posted on the voting tracker offering a chance to rectify. I was careful to follow as instructed. I'm a little ticked at NJ governor for not allowing any in person voting on election day. Then again who am I kidding believing NJ has any hope of winning any electoral votes for the republican party.

Very true. However your quote of Ed, is taken out of context. When he said that, it was suggested that one side/person is always great for the economy and the other will utterly destroy it. Which is never the case. Heck, Congress is more responsible for the economy than a President.

Wasn't looking for a "deep-dive". Just agreed that if a good economic base isn't in place everything else will falter. I think that's extremely important especially with this global pandemic.

Also my opinion the stock market is riding high today with the anticipation the senate will remain with a republican majority (house remaining democrat). leaving a balance. More stability.

"if the economy is not good all of the other issues become moot - - nothing good can be done regarding other issues if the economy sucks"

Absoulty, jobs and a good economy must happen first. If the economy is good and jobs are created it opens up all other avenues for good things to happen. If not, nothing good will follow.
