SlingSC , she loved how comfortable they are for long rides and they are Polaris seats and match the frames. However, we live in NW AR and drive the twisties all the time. She drives as hard as anyone and needed seats that gave her a little more side bolster. For cruising and normal riding, they are hard to beat.

dangerdarrell with you living in AR and me living in upstate SC I don’t know how we can get together for me to purchase.

When I was at my dealership having some recall work done, they had a SS in the showroom that had the Comfort Quilted Seats. I got in and checked them out. They seem to have a lot more padding and lumbar support than my stock 2018 SL seats have. I liked the lumbar support. I have an old wore out back and need more support for longer rides.

SlingSC , I have a set of the quilted seats for sale but they have black stitching. When my wife bought them the dealers wanted over $1000 per seat with the red stitching so she bought these for $850 for a pair. She has since bought Velocity seats from an SLR. Selling these barely used quilted seats for $350.

I have got to ask!! Why didn’t she like them. Will they fit my seat brackets I already have? I have a 2018 SL.

I am looking to purchase a used pair of Quilted Comfort Seats that came in the Slingshot Touring Models. I want black with the red stitching. Must be in good condition and reasonably priced. So, if anyone has changed out these seats for aftermarket seats let me know. You can PM me the information and pictures would be a plus.

Right now I plan on being in Maggie Valley about 1 PM on Monday at the Five Star Motel. I can do Sunday if that works for you or Sat. or what ever pick a day. just let me know, I just want to ride. You could always join us in Bristol also. I have to do at least 5 more trips to beat last year. Anyone want to ride let me know, give me at least one day.

I want know until Thursday June 20. Have to see how everything goes with mother’s cataract surgery. If all goes well, I will come up on Saturday and you and I can get together on Sunday, if that’s okay with you. I will probably see if I can can stay at the motel you mentioned. I will let you know as soon as I can next week.

Do you want to get together in Maggie Valley?

I had to cancel on going to Homecoming due to my mother having cataract surgery on June 20. Thought if everything went well, I might go to MV for a couple of days. That is why I asked how long you were planning to be in MV before leaving for Bristol. I want know until next weekend what day I will be there. I will let you know next weekend. Thanks for the invite.

Can someone please tell me what the torque specs is for the nut on the emergency brake at the rear of the SS. I am adding a cover and want to make sure it is torqued correctly. The torque specs are not in my owners manual. I attached a picture. Thanks

I already got the gear oil and purchased the quart size pump while I was at it, to make it a little easier. I have a bass boat and when changing the gear oil in the foot of the outboard, I always filled it through the drain plug until it started to run out the top fill hole. But from what I am hearing from you guys, is remove fill plug first, then the drain plug. After draining, reinstall the drain plug and fill through the fill hole until the gear oil starts to run out, then replace the fill plug and torque both plugs to 12 ft. Lbs. 👍🏻

Thanks to all for the information. The folks on this forum are always friendly and willing to help out this Rookie Slingshot Owner. No matter what crazy question I may ask. :00002047:

Can someone please tell me the size Allen wrench I need to remove the angle drive drain/ fill plugs. I believe it is a 8mm, but I want to make sure. I plan on purchasing one to fit my ratchet wrench to make it easier to remove and re-install. Thanks in advance for the information. It is a 2018 model if that makes a difference.

Enjoyed my first trip to Slingshot in the Smokies. Beautiful weather!! Got to me some of the form members and make some new friends. Really had a great time and plan on being there next year. Everyone have a safe ride home.

If your registered you should be able to just bring him in. (They only have 7 big guys with assault weapons guarding the gate....most of them are sound asleep). Generally you will be driving your Slingshot into the area thru the gate. You'll get a sticker for the Slingshot and just drive thru...speed somewhere between 110 and 115 mph.

I am already registered, it’s just a last minute thing with my grandson. When I registered I asked him about going and he said he couldn’t, something do do with baseball and now it’s football. He got something going on all the time!!! Wears me out trying to attend all his games.

Does anyone know how much it cost to get into the fair ground each day? My grandson wants to come with me, but he want know until next Monday if will be able too. Something to do with football practice. Probably want have time to get him registered that late. We will only be there for (3) days. Arriving on Thursday after lunch.

wokka and SlingSC I am wondering if there is a particular speed you used when switching the ignition to activate the bypass. I have tried fast, slow and in between without success.

    SlingLow

I was just moving the off/on switch back and forth at a so called normal speed (not to slow or to fast), but I did use my phone to time the 6 seconds between the second set of code numbers. Hope this helps. I did change my code, got the headlight blink for successfully code change. Tried new code and it worked the first time 😃

I'll be packing a suit... #slidingrock this year baby!!

My parents use to take me and my sister to sliding rock all the time. We would picnic and spend the whole day there. It wasn’t as nice is it now, it has parking and nice facilities now. We use to park on the side of road and walk down to it. Ah the good old days!! Did learn one thing, a cut off pair of old blue jeans will last a lot longer than a swimsuit when sliding down the rocks!!!
