    Lets face it....
If Motorcycles were never invented .........And someone just come up with the idea and started selling them last week they would be outlawed by next week... :( .....

I had to take a quick ride to upstate NY [160 Miles round trip] The temps were 38/40 [6:30 Am] degree's and raining when i started out, I wore my lined jeans and Under Armour ''T'' shirt with a pull over and my Milwaukee heated jacket....Coming back the temps hit 50 so i didn't have to turn the jacket on..I do have the Slingshade.....And that helps to keep me dry....

I totaled my favorite bike, a 2007 Suzuki SV650 naked bike a few months before Texas finally allowed the Slingshot to be sold I finally got my Slingshot. I really liked that bike. Bought it at the end of January 2010 with 4848 miles on it and when I wrecked it had just under 60K miles on it. Fantastic bike!

Tail of the Dragon in the rain, August 2010.

Yep i had the 99 Sv650 bought it new, That was one of my top why i didn't keep it bike...Traded it in for a VTX1800...

I have heard of them freezing up and usually cycling the switch will "reset" them. If not then it's off to the dealer.

I tried everything i could have thought of with my limited knowledge of audio equipment, And i wasn't going to check to to see if the fuse was blown because the screen was still lit...But like i said let me give it a shot, Pulled the fuse the radio made a thump sound stuck the fuse back in and all is well..No dealer participation or intervention was necessary... ....

When i got in my S/S this afternoon i noticed that the screen was on without the key turned on...
Just the warning prompt......I pressed OK, But the screen was frozen, Radio wouldn't turn on, and when i went into reverse to back out of my garage the back-up camera didn't go on, The screen just stayed frozen with the warning prompt showing.....
So i said what the hey i'll pull the radio fuse, and put it back in and see what happens...That did the trick everything is working now..
Anyone else have that happen to them???

That’s what worries me about the SS....start changing stuff and fixing things that aren’t broke.....I’m probably never buying another SS...so it really won’t affect me.
Did they want to create a new victory motorcycle or change the old tried and true?

They Polaris dumped the aluminum frame bikes into the dust bin, And rebadged some of the iron frame bikes as Indian...With some minor changes...

What killed Victory was when they Polaris [Victory] hooked up with George Jetson AKA; Arlen Ness to design their Aluminum frame bikes... Their Iron frame bikes were selling well and had outstanding power and handling...I had the Gunner......

Had a new one last week...........Wife and I were out for supper and I had backed the Sling into the curb when I parked............We were getting ready to leave when some guy walks by behind us and says............Shouldn't the single tire be on the front...........Harley rider maybe ?????? Jealous maybe ?????????? Smartass ???
Felt like turning around and say and isn't your brain supposed to be in your head ??

I would have replied, " It use to be but I didnt like it so I moved it."

When i had a Spyder i would say to Tri-Glide owners,Aren't your wheels on backward's...
And when when i had a [Had two] Tri-Glide i would say that to Spyder owners..., Its all in good fun... :)
If you take it as an insult , Then it becomes one...

I guess i struck a cord here....... This reminds me of when the Spyder first came out [2008]....A lot of new owners filled the Spyder forums with we don't get no respect 'Especially from the Harley bikers and by saying that they wanted to be considered real big boy bikers , Or elevate Harley riders to Big boy status...I guess they were fighting monsters in their own heads.[Inferiority Complex]..Now as they matured they get together and form their own groups...

Just thinking out loud here.... Why would anyone want to take a non-motorcycle to a motorcycle ride...
How does the saying go.....Like taking a knife to a gun fight...
Yea, Sure i know its registered as a Motorcycle , But since when do you believe what some pin head in charge of making DMV regulations says it is.....??

Thats because the Spyder's and Slingshots weren't Harleys...Don't get your self in an up-roar, Why would you wan't to go on a ride where your not wanted/excepted...?

I’m calling dealer BS....if that was the case every new vehicle and every new set of tires would be doing it....millions of times a day...
When in doubt try to make it sound like it’s normal. Shows their ignorance.

To a dealer its only B S when they know its B S, So the'll tell you anything you want to hear....When they don't know..And will do it with a convincing face....

I Have a tin ear......But from what i hear, It sounds like your ignition is braking up...?? I know that sound well from my days at the drag strips...1960's...

This will be the first winter riding the S/S......But for the last 45+ winters i've ridden Two wheelers and Trikes all winter, The lowest ride was a few years ago as 6 degrees ....If you don't have a mind , It doesn't matter...The last few winters i wear, under my heated jacket a Under Armour cold gear T shirt, For short rides i have an Milwaukee battery heated jacket.... For long rides i use a Tourmaster plug in jacket and over that a real motorcycle jacket, [Buffalo hide jacket that i have since 1998]...My pants are lined jeans...
