Really trying to make this ride, but I'm on call. I may just risk it though.

All in all I was pretty happy with it. Till I shorted out the remote wire. Now I have to figure out why it's not getting a signal to turn the amps or Bluetooth controller on.
-
I figured the amp would eat up some of the air space...but obviously it didn't take up that much. But all in all I am happy that they are inside and takes away my paranoia.

Got mine up and running with out an issue with the help of a jump box. Oddly though I think in the process I shorted out the remote wire so now nothing is powering up. And this is why I got out of the install game. lol

Digital Wrench 3.7 which was release to all dealers on April 26th should address this issue on any SS manufactured prior to April 26th. A few people have reported that it updates the software for the EPAS and has made it feel better. My local dealer here in Colorado Springs keeps saying that they don't it...which is pissing me off.

I was using the Go Pro 3+ but am looking at going to the Contour Roam 3. Great reviews and easy to use.

Remember you need a little battery to run the fuel pump. You may also want to add the battery jump points to yours.
Damn I think mine is completely drained. Guess I'll just have to add the jumpers and get new cables.
-
I added the 10 to mine and let the battery die...ugh. Tried a set of jumper cables I had and they are toast...so I am going to push start mine today.

Where you sticking the amps? Under each seat is a great place to put them.
I'm actually putting them inside the driver side cubby. 2 reasons for this...first, the sub only requires about .8 cubic ft of space so putting it in there eats up some of the air space there, 2nd...even though I have marine grade amps...I am paranoid. Want to keep it out of rain and all that.
-
Hope these help
This helped immensely. Thanks! Looks like I shouldn't have any issues mounting the amps where I want to.

Sorry for the confusion, but I quoted Rabtech since he posted up pictures of the 12" grills.
I know...I just wanted to note that I looked in to it and with out some decent fabrication it's a headache. The air space isn't a big deal since there is over 1 cubic foot of space in the cubbies, but the physical dimensions of the sub would start putting you in a position where you have to build out of the cubby to make it fit which means you are pushing the seats forward or you are cutting up the cubbies, or getting rid of them all together to build boxes behind the seats.

Going to shoe horn some 12" subs in the Slingshot?
I thought I could, but without some work it's not fun to do.
-
No. I have the 10" in the doors right now. I have a new plan if I get time to make it happen.
Got a picture of how you have the door secured? I am doing mine this weekend and just want to reduce the flex on the door as much as possible.

I have some new toys that are about to be installed.
Did you end up switching to the SSV sub boxes?

Orange you glad I didn't say banana? I'm full of puns. lol

Does anyone find it ironic that many are saying that they stay with the old Forum because of the great technical information over there??? Wonder where all that came from? Hmmmmmm.
I'll tell you that I had to jump back over there to find posts by @rabtech and @lrobbi to do the subwoofer install. I think it's a great archive that all the old timers here provided. Too bad there isn't a way to get some of the builds from there and add them here as historical archives or something like that.

For me it was simple...I have been a part of many forums for many years as moderator, admin, and participant...never have I seen moderation taken to that extreme. And to top it off it was over real petty BS. I still go back to help out noobs and try to keep people educated where I can, share what little I do know, and support good causes.
Do I miss the volume of traffic it used to get? Absolutely. But the atmosphere here is much more laid back and fun. These are the people I want to meet in person, these are the people I have learned the most from, and these are the people that are always available to help each other out when needed.

ok so based off the pictures, it looks like there is a little space between the gas tank and the cubby side walls?
