    It is a 2016 with 9100 miles.

.......J-case (3 main fuses in there) one was part of the recall BUT there was another that wasn't part of the recall and caused my slingshot to shut down on me on the NJ Turnpike while I was in the left lane, talk about an OH SHYT moment.........check that J-case (especially the rear of it )......

.....My fix was to separate that 2nd fuse in that J-case just like the one for the recall, haven't had any issues since ......so that left me with just one fuse in the J-case.....

I 3D printed caps for all of the roof mount and mirror bolt holes out of PETG. I hit them on the belt sander in one direction to make a straight grain look like black anodized aluminum.

....hey I need a set of these for just my mirrors , hate when water gets down there and I'm always blowing it out.........if possible PM me a price with shipping and do you zelle........

Many thanks mpj220 for the post, I couldn't locate your original post which I printed out some time back. Good stuff! I had a chance to do a test ride yesterday. Temps low 80s and humid. Feet stayed comfortable in the heat box. My best thought was from the old song by seals and Crofts. Summer Breeze makes me feel fine. As Fun Cycle stated and surprising the location seems to have a dead spot. Still it does add a "breeze" in the hot box and a breeze is welcomed. I did not cut the air scoop (gauge pod) as MPJ220 did, so not sure if an added benefit but it sure won't hurt. Thoughts, not the airflow I had hoped for but a welcomed benefit. Fairly easy mod that actually looks like it should be from the factory. Baker air wings (at least the full style) I use on my NASCAR style windscreen provide the easiest and most effective air flow benefit. The mod above extends it into the footbox. I think it's worth the time and effort for the cooling benefit.

....I'll be adding this to my winter mods list.......not doing any mods til Nov at least, only thing I'm spending is gas in it til then

....would have any pics of your mod with the scoops.....

does anyone know the length of the OEM alternator belt on a 2017? I took it to napa and they measured it at 34 3/4" but i think that is a bit odd. anyway, I upgraded the alternator to a high output alternator AND the company told me that i need to put a belt that is 1/2" shorter than what was on it. meaning i should go to a 34 1/4" belt. I have tried i dont know how many ways to get that thing on and there is absolutely NO WAY i can make it go on. I think that is way too small of a belt for the system because if i pull the tensioner pulley all the way out, the belt still wont go on. so there is no way this should be the right one. the OEM alternator is 140 amp and i went to a 260 amp alternator from tuscon alternator in arizona. if you can help me figure this out I would be so forever grateful. and of course if you are close to lorton VA I will buy you a beer or two lol.

......I bought my alternator upgrade kit with upgraded belt at the time from https://www.universalaudiosolu…ket_Alternator_Kit.html#/

Maybe they or someone can help you.....

......I'm just putting this here to help anyone in the future .....someone came to me today with their hood unable to open and lift due to the lock mechanism on the driver side near the mirror.....I tried pulling on the cable mechanism on the front lock but to no avail......so I REMOVED the mirror and was able to unlock the mechanism with a tool that curves.......he had removed the 2 bolts holding the locking mechanism the other day and when he bolted everything back up the cable came out of the mechanism so it wouldn't unlock by pulling on the cable....

I jumped in mine in the garage one day, started it up, and drove it to my credit union in a town 20 miles north of me. When I got back in after doing my business it would not start. Turned out that I left my Digital Guard Dog fob hanging on the hook just inside the garage door. It was close enough to the Sling that it started, and I drove off without it. I could not get the override feature to work so I had to call my wife who left work to retrieve the fob and drive it up to me.

......your not alone I had my key fob just sitting on the back tail and didn't realize it as I pulled out my driveway and went about 20-25 miles away from my house to a print shop, came back out and I have the Scorpion alarm that went off and wouldn't shut up........a neighbor found my key fob in the middle of the street which my son had to bring to me.......smdh

......about to tackle another job..... already have to run to Home Depot as the screws to mount the manifold & compressor to the front mounting plate aren't nowhere to be found ......the bag was opened and could have fell out of the box........hoping this install will go smooth once things are mounted, if so I might get one for my slingshot......

UPDATE: everything mounted to the plate , slingshot arrives tomorrow for the install.......

Does anyone know the max width tire I can put on a stock 2016 SL rim for the rear?

My tires all have good tread left, but I want the look of a bigger, wider rear tire. The SS almost commands this. The stock just aint wide enough for me. LOL.

......I agree, it took me about 3-4 riding seasons to finally catch someone selling their SLR wheels with the 305 rear tire since my 2017 base model came with those dreadful 17s in the front and 18 in the rear......was glad when I finally removed those wheels....

I DREAMED about my slingshot today as I was on a 200 mile journey on my Harley Road Glide to a bike event on a very very very windy day , man i can't ever remember getting beat up by the wind like I did today and all i could do was hold on and dream about how I wish I would have been in my slingshot & of course when I arrived at the event, there were other slingshots there smdh..........
