Thank you Bill. Right back at ya. Much love brother.

These new kids just don't know our history. They weren't there on TDS, before the Slingshot was even released. They weren't part of the conversation that began Slingmods, Alpha Powersport and this website. They weren't hoping to get their Slingshot on time to be first to Florida for a Hahn Prototype turbo. They don't know Funinthesun won and had his motor blown. They don't know I was his biggest voiced competition to get there, except he lived there and got his Slingshot a day before me.

They are still working on getting all the T-shirts that you and I got from being there and doing that. :D

I thought I was I reading the transcript of a Trump speech about all his accomplishments at first... 8o

But then I saw who posted it and thought surely not, but it seems you take good motivation from your president. Hopefully you didn't pull a biden and plagiarize 45th and a half while trying to keep Slingshots great.:POKESS:Just kidding.

I'll step back to the side and continue observing.

    Carry on... :00005129:

I installed the new LED lights today on the Canadian inside lights. Question; to those that have done this too, are yours “blueish” as well? I thought the original bulbs perhaps were tinted. But now that I have replaced them with #6000 white LED’s they are still bluish. Is the lens or inside of the light housing perhaps blue?

At the side angle this is the look

Straight on they are more white but still a blue tint. Thoughts?

Those don't look bluish... they look BLUE. I thought you had the blue demon eyes in there when I first saw it. Can you put the bulb in the other housing to see what it looks like?

"Your Slingshot In Front Of A Fall/Harvest Theme"

The days are getting shorter. The leaves are changing colors. The temperatures are getting cooler (for some atleast) and the next topic has been chosen. Let's get a picture of your Slingshot in front of a fall harvest theme!

Deadline will be November 27th, 2020.

    Rules and guidelines:

-The photo must be of your own Slingshot (real full-size Slingshots). If the picture submitted is not of your own vehicle, it will not be included in voting. And if need be, the photo will be deleted from the entry thread. It is known that some members may own more than one Slingshot.

    - Use your own picture (not pictures from outside sources).

    - Photo Shopping pictures or extreme editing is not allowed unless specified by the topic chosen.

    - Stay within the competition's parameters (for example, if the rules are "Your Slingshot and Snow," only post a picture that has both your Slingshot and snow in it). Photos that do not comply with the topic will not be included in voting.

    - Pictures should show off not only your sling, but also you photography skills. Be creative with your shots.

    - One entry per member. Let us know which your entry is by typing "This is my entry:" above your picture. You can change your entry during the time of the competition but once time runs out you cannot change your entry or submit a photo. Once the deadline comes, THERE WILL BE NO MORE EDITING!

    - The contest aims to last for the month, depending on the number of entries (competition will run longer if less entries are submitted, and

    vice versa).

    - After time is up, a new thread will be started for voting. The voting thread may be a "blind" poll, which means the results will be revealed after the end of the voting time line or once a member has voted. Forum members will vote on a winner. The member that wins the competition will come up with the theme/topic for the next competition.

    - Once a photo wins a contest that photo will be added to the winners circle then "retired" and can not be used again unless for a specific contest.

    - Have fun! Keep your comments constructive.

I had issues getting the video to play this morning but I assumed from the still that it was maple motors. Yes I do pass by there daily to and from work. As with any car lot I've seen good and bad come from there. So if you were to seriously be interested I would most definitely look in person. I do not know where they get their inventory either but I know they do travel to various car shows looking for deals. As 123hotdog said, they're inventory does seem to move rather quickly so they're good at what they do. As with anything you seem to get what you pay for but they are reasonable in my opinion based on the condition. The immaculate ones can be priced as such but the ones not so perfect don't seem to be priced as if it was perfect if that makes sense.

As far the people, it's family owned and operated further back than my memory goes. Dad and his son's and any experience I've had have always been great. While I've never personally bought a car from them I have been in there for wheels or other various things and always well taken care of. My wife worked with one of the son's wife for years, great family and good people. Obviously I'm right by them but if I was in the market for a classic car I would definitely start there without hesitation.

Regardless, if you do get serious, good luck in your venture. Great car...
