does that mean you are still coming?
Yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As of right now we are still planning on it! We are thinking we may get up stupid early Sunday morning and try to beat the rain back.

Like what I see....
Just placed an order for a set of those MeanSling bags!! Hoping they get here before we rollout on Friday!!
LOL... found the diagram. They couldn't call it Ride Command or Radio, they had to call it " 7",ENOV " LOL. So back to work! This thing is turning into a personal challenge of sorts LOL.
So good news is that this has "PreAmp out" lines, so I'm assuming we can go directly to the amp at line levels.
Hey Salty, would you be willing to share this diagram?
@TheRock what happen to the wing?
As much as I love the wing, it can be a bit cumbersome to maneuver around while parked in the garage. I didn’t want my in-laws to have to worry about it while they have it for the couple years I’m in Spain. It will return once I do!
Gloss black - I like that it's still somewhat subtle, but does break up the back end just a bit. Also, it super slick, so I'm hoping it will be much easier to clean than the textured plastic. I'm feeling pretty confident that it will.
Even though it was little chilly out, finally got out and got a few pics taken. Thanks @Jdin for coming out with your snazzy camera!!
Not sure of a date, but I'd like to do it... maybe folks can start throwing out some dates that work and we can try to find one that works for most!
What weather forecast are you guys seeing?
This is on weather.com
Friday and Saturday don't look bad, but Sunday... 69° and wet doesn't sound like much fun... (I guess that might be a safe statement to make now that @Tripod isn't around.
The weather for Slingshot Uncorked II is playing with my emotions and I'm thinking it may not happen for us...
Any chance anyone is looking to do another Peaks of Otter run this year?
I hope that's not true. Or if it is, you gave Painter enough to to get out before the Chinese take over. I don't want to have to pay him $2,000,000 yen to paint my slingshot
Wait, what am I missing here?? @Painter is in Indiana, not Illinois, right? Am I mistaken, they are 2 different states, correct?
@Trooper - That pic may help answer your question from the other day. The passenger side has been cut and driver side has yet to be cut in that picture above.
One day I will have a respectable workshop!!
Best go with the suggestions of others...
My workshop consisted of an old busted door as a workbench a table vice sitting upon stacked boxes to hold my shop light and a step stool as a seat. All in my disheveled basement... Redneck engineering at it's finest!
you guys are outstanding, thanks best form ever.
(**In an Italian accent) When you're here, you're family!!
Be honest! You read that with an Italian accent, even if it was only in your head, didn't you?
Any pacific blade to get. I am going to lowes this weekend to get the saw. i just have the small regular dremel tool. I didnt realize they a lot more stuff than they did.
Honestly, I used a Dremel with these cutting wheels for plastic.
Lay down some painters tape, make your cutting line with a dark pencil and take your time. Edges can be cleaned up with a file and some sand paper. I used 80 grit followed by 120... didn't have to get too much finer than that because I used edge molding to dress up the edges.
What have you all used to cut your hood? I used a dremel tool when i done my fender vents and it seemed to have melted the plastic instead of cutting it. looking for something to give a smooth cut and cut around corners.
My daughter's safety scissors.
This SS looks different, a little to much IMO

Ummm... yeah... it's different... I mean, I don't hate it...
Learning here. The amps in my sling can only push a max of 900 watts at full power. Using your math, would that be about 130 amps? And to be clear, it would only be drawing this power if the amps were configured for full output power and not gained down?I know when I push the volume high the volt meter rarely drops below 13 with the sling running.
Shouldn't I be good in this configuration?
@Slingrazor with a 900 watt amp, your average power use at full volume would be about 43 or 44 amps. Typically, a 130 - 140 amp alternator can handle about a 1200 watt system... I'd say you are good. But as @WraithSS mentioned before, a telltale sign is your headlights, do they dim when your bass hits? If not, ROCK ON!!
@lrobbi isn't making this event, I don't believe. This is tax season, and that is his lovely bride's busy time of the year, doing what she does. She did try to tell him to go on without her, but I think he is a smarter man than that! Though for selfish reasons, I do wish he'd take her up on that. Anyhow, zero doubt he'd let me borrow his trailer, but that's more money than I want to spend fueling the beast to drag the trailer and Sling down there. I'd rather drive the Sling as I'll have extremely limited seat time in the not-to-distant future.
Getting close, looking forward to meeting new members of the Slingshot Family for the first time and catching up with old friends.
@MACAWS Hey Mitch if I brought up my new Rear Protection Plate up with me, think we can do an install of it during wrench-night, they say you either have to remove the back panel to install or have the balls to drill with it on and hope you don't hit the gas tank.I can't do the first one alone and the second option scares the crap out of me.
Tom, I installed mine without removing the back panel. I can see why @SlingLow recommends taking it off for liability reasons, but it can be easily done with it on if you are careful and just take your time. I’ll be happy to help with it if I make it down. The weather may scare the misses and I off...
