  • Super Bowl Weekend “Rev Em Up, Light Em Up” Slingshot Night Cruise Through Houston – Saturday February 4th 2017 @ 5:00 pm, Starting at Pappadeaux 10499 I-10 Houston TX 77024. Houston will be buzzing with activity during the Super Bowl weekend, so let’s buzz along with it! Ride will include multiple meetup locations through the evening to allow riders to catch up, and new riders to join. See route details below. Night will also feature small raffle prizes from our ride sponsors DDM Works, Revolution Motorsports, and House of Sound!

A photographer and a drone camera operator will be capturing our memories at various locations along our ride. Smile and wave for the cameras! We will stop for about 15-20 minutes at each of the Meetup Locations (marked in green on the map, addresses and directions below).

Given the extra activity in the city during the weekend, we may experience road closures, extra traffic delays, and other unexpected circumstances. It will be difficult to keep a large group together in the inner city, therefore we will be “cruising” at a slightly slower speed than normal traffic, in order to keep as much of us together as possible. We will do the best we can, and make the most out of it. Be responsible, be safe.

Our ride will end at Moon Tower Inn, a place known for some of the best hot dogs and burgers in the city. Hope to see you out there!

    Beware of Sling Ninja...

  • Time to ride! A few last minute notes: We might need a couple people (preferably with lights on their slings) who are familiar with the route to help lead part of the ride, or block / protect others as we try to turn as a group. Let me know if you’re interested. I want your footage and pictures! Email me at storm75m@hotmail.com to send me any good pictures or footage you have. (I won’t tell you what you can and can’t do with your Slingshot, but if you are feeling “frisky”, don’t waste it, make sure a camera is watching!) We will try to stick to the route, but may deviate here and there, either to make up time, see more action, or attempt to keep more slings together by making more right hand turns than left hand turns, etc. We may get stuck in traffic where we have to sit for a while, but we’ll try to make the most of it. This isn’t a high speed scenic ride, but more of a sight seeing tour. Lastly, our final destination Moon Tower Inn has limited parking, but there is a parking strip that we can use right across the street to line up our Slingshots, but it’s first come first serve. If anyone wants to break off from the ride early and meet us there, hold as many parking spaces as you can, the owner said that it shouldn’t be a problem. It is a popular meeting spot for car clubs, but no one else has mentioned anything to them for tonight, so we should be good. See you out there!

    Beware of Sling Ninja...

  • I had been thinking about trying to make it, but I've got the dash on my Slingshot removed while I develop a how-to on insulating the radio cubby area. I'm taking my time and trying to figure out the best way (or at least the method I like the most). I hope the weather is great for the ride. Enjoy!
