This is a local guy here in Colorado Springs by the name of Jeff Charon. He has been setting up these dual side pipe exhausts for quite a few people.
That looks nice, I may want to do this to mine.

Display MoreThanks @Trooper, I did see you over there. Hope I wasn't one of your smart_ _ _ answerers. I do like to have fun but at the end of the day there needs to be a level of respect among all. Unfortunately I have a more wit (my opinion) than mechanical skills so that tends to be my contribution. Every once in a while I have some useful knowledge to share which feels good and gives me some understanding as to why a person would reach out to help a perfect stranger - or an imperfect one!
The brotherhood is strong here. I feel it. (Queue Tripod)
no sir you wasn't
I sure hope that's not a reference to my age... Thanks for the welcome!
@ericastar76 it seems to me you were rebuilding your Sling when last we met online. Are you back in the saddle? Thanks for the shout-out.
I would like to chime in for second. first of all welcome aboard @SlingLow. i was on the other side for a little bit and every time i asked a question i would never get a straight answer most of the time or a smart _ _ _ one. a buddy of mine drew shields told me about this form, i have asked a lot of questions on here and have received my answers and more with respect minus the fun talk lol. i know some get tired of me asking lol but i am new to the SS and have learned some much on this forum. there are great people on here that will do what they can to help out. as i have not yet meet any of the members on here and hope to do so in the future at an SS event. but all in all you can still count on the guys and gals on here to lend a helping hand. with that being said i would like to say thank all you guys and gals on here for helping us all out and again welcome aboard.

Yes they are. I'm actually changing the style up a bit. Adding some colors.
Thank you i will ordering a set soon. just waiting on @slingmods to come out with a dual headlight kit for the 2017 model.
No issues with melting. When I did bring that up to my installer, he said that it needs to be almost touching to be an issue and that every inch the exhaust travels through the pipe it cools significantly.
Thanks good info
I have had mine for over a year and many miles without any problems at all
Thanks. I was just concerned about the heat with all the plastic underneath there.
Has anybody had problems with the plastic melting or getting to hot under there SS on there exhaust systems that was ran out the back. I am asking cause i would like to run me a pipe all the way to the back and put a Y and run dual tips on each side of the rear.
Sunny and will be 90 in southeast Arkansas.
I want these... just can't see myself cutting through my own hood though... Maybe if there was a really good video.... but still.... ugh.... maybe if we drum up enough interest in Houston MiM we could make it worth someones time to come on down and hook us up...
I felt the same way about cutting in the hood. took me over an hour to convince myself to cut into after i had everything marked and tapped up. but after doing it and installing them love the looks of it.
Good deal glad the suspect was caught, but sucks you had damage done.
I just Found these while i was looking around. Are these still available. @Slingshot Garage
I think it will be very dependent on how much subframe is cut. Cutting completely through a section would not be advised.
I agree on that, I was just looking at how much bigger the vent is and covers more of the rear side of the fender, which i think it looks good. guess you could just cut your orignal hole a little bigger and put the vent on. I am looking forward to seeing the out come of the bigger vents.
With the bigger vents, the cutting of the supports underneath will this be a problem? Or will you have to cut the supports?
I already have a set from craig, and love them. My question is with the ones that have them can thry be put over the old ones, what i mean is i have the hole cut out will i be able to add the new size to the all ready cur out vent?
@'Nemesis1701 that is how i understood @'rabtech' write up on this. did i miss read it or understood it or is there something newer out.
this is how i under stand it dont knock my drawing please. the black wire from the relay you cut it run on to toggle and from toggle to the other end of cut wire. is this correct???
Care to share what style/type hardware you settled on? Most of the hardware store black coated bolts tend to rust.
A bolt expert friend of mine said he prefers zinc hardware and ships it off to be coated black.
these are Allen head bolts, i will have to check to see what type coating they have before i install them
@'2W2X1 the way i bent mine was i took me a wide straight slot screw driver and a rag and gently wedged it between the slots and bent my desired angle. i used stainless steel hardware. i did not use any gasket on mine but will use 3m tape when i change my hardware out again. i found some black bolts at my hardware store i am going to use since my outer part is painted black. if you need anything else please let me know.
