We could always do a slingshotinfo.com dinner somewhere. Come one, come all.
Having never been there, I don't have suggestions for restaurants, good or bad.

I've only attended last years event, wife and I found several restaurants/lounges that were quite good and within walking distance of host hotel. I can't remember the name of this one in particular but it had a western theme with a large restaurant and huge outdoor patio. It would probably work ? Maybe someone from around the area can do some scouting and see if there is a place that can work and would host a large group of cool Sling Shot riders?

Just put a deposit on a pull behind trailer, hoping to pick it up later this week. Wicked hitch and Tric LED plate relocator ordered. I'm hoping the wicked hitch will not be difficult to install ?
Will be using this set up for driving to Sling Shot in the Rockies event this year. Round trip with some touring going to be about 2 weeks, first extra long road trip driving the Sling.

Last year was my first year at such a event. Was a great experience and we plan on going again this year. This year I plan on driving the Sling down to the event. Plan on leaving on the weekend before the event and taking in some scenic drives on the way down, including the famous Bear Tooth Pass. Want to arrive on the Wednesday the event starts, probably leave after the event and end up taking the another easy paced ride home including the infamous Highway to the Sun road. Want this to be a fun, leisurely drive so only plan to drive about 6 to 8ish hours a day.
I will be departing from mid central Alberta, if anyone is interested in joining me please pm me and we can share one of the coolest trips this year.

I concur with Doc Martin and Jorgebri60, I also have a PRP harness. Only difference is I installed a five point model. You don't slide around your seat at all, especially around corners at higher speeds. Once you have them adjusted properly and the padded shoulders are quite comfortable, not as annoying as the shoulder belt on the stock ones riding up. Though I did keep the stock ones in place and drivers one buckled behind the seat to keep the dash light off.

    OMG, horrible news.
Prayers and thoughts out to the family, and to all of you to take care this riding season.
The Sling Shot is more car like than bike, so please take the time to put on your seat belts.
Having been a volunteer fire fighter for over 20 years I've witnessed numerous vehicle accidents and I'm sure more than a few could have been saved or injured less severely if they had worn seat belts.
Even if it's not law, make wise choices so your family isn't left to make difficult ones.

If all goes well, I plan on making the long trek down again this year. :D
This year I'm hoping to drive the Sling the whole way. Last year I trailered because of all the mods I had done and had to bring some bits n pieces home.
I'm hoping to create some interest in a Alberta Canada Sling Shot event with @Slingshot Garage the weekend prior, and then maybe head up a group of Canadians on the Monday to make the trek to the Rockies event.
Would be nice if @ivor arranged a sit down event for this year ;)
Looking forward to another fun time

Put on my long undies, look around to make sure no one can see my eyes watering up ;(
Sit with her for a bit and whisper, "see ya next spring".
Tuck her edges in with a cover.
All kidding aside, I change oil and filter, put a battery minder on it and and cover and store.

Have you received your "official letter" about the recalls yet? I know I haven't. Been waiting for it, but nothing yet.
I've been assuming this is due to the whole, we're in Canada, thing.

Have not recieved letter yet, but I did call Polaris and got put in touch with a service rep, and yes letter is in the mail and yep I have a total of 4 recall items.
I asked the rep if there is any concern about continuing riding he said should not be a concern just monitor if anything seems unusual. I also asked what happens if something breaks and it causes damage to other parts of the sling. He would not commit if that would be covered, but he said they would take care of me. Have to say I talked with him for a bit and I feel better about this recall thing now, for what its worth. My dealer is fully of the recall situation.

Hey guys sorry I couldn't join you, been off recouping from surgery and just lurking on the forum.Sounds like you had a blast.
Just a small heads up re: next years plans. :00008674:
@Slingshot Garage, @SundreSlingQueen, and myself have had a meeting about organizing a Alberta event for next year.
It's in preliminary stages but looking around the July 8/9 weekend in Sundre Alberta. Potentially followed by a group trip to SlingShot in the Rockies 2017, for those that are interested. That event is currently slated for July 12 to 16 2017. :00000441:
We are currently working on some things and hope to get some solid info out before the end of the year. If succesfull maybe make this into a annual event :00000436: .

Well we finally arrived home earlier today from the Rockies event.
Ivor, great job organizing and keeping all like a well oiled machine, thank you.
13 days travel, totals on the truck and trailer 4541 km/2822 miles 54 hours of driving, Slingshot 1300 km.
Had a ton of fun and met alot of amazing people. Thanks to all for the great ideas and comradery.
Stopped and visited with Slingshot Garage (Mark & Shawna) on way home. We were up till past 1:00 am last night sharing stories and making plans for a rally ride for next year here in western Canada, more on that to follow later on.
The Sling has some new goodies, will post some pics when I get a chance.
Thanks to all the vendors, was great to meet you and get to look at all your Sling gear.
Kudo's to all, we had a great time.
    Rex & Jane

OK truck, trailer and Sling ready to go on our trek to the Rockies.
Going to bring the following Sling stuff to sell while I'm down.Only reason selling because of upgraded mods and can't use these any more.
Polaris full size all weather cover $250
    Polaris cockpit cover $200
    Factory dual windshield $225
    Factory hood vent cover $25
    Factory rear view mirror $25
Factory seats, black with grey centre stripe, (no base frame I used them for my PRP upgrade) $200, (If you buy the seats with any other item I will give you a really good package deal)
Two pro grade motorcycle weather proof travel bags that attach to your roll bars, hardly used. $200 for the pair.
If some one comes and takes it all as a package, I will give you a great deal.
All are from a 2015 SLLE and all in very good condition
Come see Rex from Canada, we are leaving for our journey tomorrow.
    See you in the Rockies

The boss mentioned she might take a week off or so in that time frame. We love riding then because the kids are back in school and the RV traffic is quite a bit less. Was planning on a possible stop in Eckville for a Laser alignment while heading to Rocky Mountain House for first stop.

I will be coming home around 9th or 10th from SS in the Rockies and then have a medical issue to deal with so can't make those dates, maybe another time.
But,Eckville, laser alignment ? Do they do a true 4 point laser alignment ? Do you know approx cost ? First time I've heard of some one in Alberta that does those for a Sling.
