Just so Im clear..As long as it's the 5 1/4" or 3.5" speakers will fit correct. On Amazon when you put in Speakers it always says "DOES NOT FIT YOUR '16 SLINGSHOT"??? ?( This is where I become Stupefied!!

I wouldn't trust the fitment guide when it comes to the Slingshot, is a new vehicle and a lot of sites are a bit behind on their updates.

Now with that said not all 5 1/4 will fit(same for 3.5) due to mounting depth/opening size, unless you go for shallow speakers you might need to add spacers.

I make my spacers out of acrylic sheets, fairly easy to make with a dremel/router, here is a link to what i use so you have an idea.

if you want a good 6.5 Woofer(sub?) Beyma makes one, the issue with them is that they are NOT water friendly since they have a paper cone.

they are one of the best small woofers i have heard, they will need an amplifier that has taken its vitamins so be advised.

So I have to ask...How is this Clarion Amp? I was told that Clarion is a dying company and fading out...Of course I learn this after my Clarion set up installed in SS? I was told there so far behind compared to competitors? So I was just curious seeing the discussion on amp...??

To be honest i would not buy that amp for that price, earlier in this thread we posted two amps( JL and Alpine )that go for $150 and are great.

I use the JL MXH 280/4 amp which is going for 149.99 on amazon right now to drive 2 C2 6.5" and 2 C2 6 x 9" on my boat and have been very satisfied with the amount of abuse that they take.

    I am 6.0 i think i will give the Madstad 11" a try
For those of you that wear helmets, do you wear a full face, modular or half with visor?

On a motorcycle anything but a full face always seemed like a mistake to me but now on the SS other choices seem reasonable.
Looking at this Shark for times when you need a helmet on, the mask/googles just protect you from debris, but let all the air in so you get the feeling of openness without getting hit by rocks plus is red and we all know that makes you faster....

the Clarion has speaker level inputs so he wouldn't need any line converters.

He should only need those if he chooses an amp without speaker level inputs.

I have heard of people using line converters to clean shitty radio signals but in my opinion if you have that type of problem changing the radio is the right and only solution, anything else would be a duct tape fix.

Now in all seriousness, my kit is standard for all my vehicles that can fit it, a long 1/2" breaker bar with a set of deep impact sockets,a small 1/4" ratchet with a small set of sockets/bits,a multi hex tool, locking plier, roll of electrical tape,Zip ties,LED flashlight, assortment of fuses, ODB2 BT adapter(useless in the sling) and power probe.
Except for the breakerbar it all fits in one of those small aluminum boxes that you get when you buy an HID kit.

    Reviving an old thread..

So now that some of you have had plenty of seat time with your windshields how are you liking them, i am leaning towards the Madstad Adjustable 13", here are my reasons as to why i think that might be a good choice feel free to recommend something else that you think might fit better.

Yesterday on my way home i got hit several times in the face shield by little rocks kicked back by vehicles, luckily i was wearing my full face helmet which is something i don't want to do in the SS, this demonstrated that the stock windshield is worthless for me.

Although i don't mind some wind, i prefer to be fully protected against road debris and having a tall windshield allows me to ride without a full face helmet while being protected(this is an assumption on my part)).

I also like wearing ball caps and a tall windshield should reduce my yearly lost ball caps budget, they get blown off all the time on the bikes and if they get run over or land in dirty water/mud i just throw them away, this alone would pay for the windshield in one year time.

So with all those factors in mind is the madstad adjustable 13" a good choice? also will i have an issue down the line when i get a top(gullWing or RD are the current possible choices since someone was saying that the Stinger makes noises at highway speeds).
