When the last person asked me if it was street legal I said "No. I'm just running around town trying to see if any cops will pull me over."

Got to see a SR-71 do a fly-by and then come back around and land once. It was spectacular!!! An amazingly beautiful aircraft!

Interesting story @Tech_Rick but I'm afraid I would not have let him get away with that lie. I just kept thinking about my daughter and my granddaughter. I don't want them being impressed by some "Pickup Artist." However, I believe I taught my daughter better and my son taught my granddaughter better. Hopefully she figured him out before things went too far.

Watch the very recently posted roll over crash video.
Are we talking about the one with Patrano that he laughed off and was uninjured?

@Trooper, not sure if you looked at Expedia or called hotel directly. If you call the hotel the price is apx $95 per night. Tell them its for the Slingshot Invasion. Most of the hotels in the area, including the hotel we used last year, are more expensive. My wife and I live in Rogers and it's about 30-45 min. drive. We tried staying home all but one night the first year and it turned out to be more inconvenient than it was worth.
Hotels are kind of pricey in resort/tourist areas. Hope you can make it to Eureka. Would love to meet y'all! -
Maybe it's the torque. When you give it gas to pass a car I'm sure you don't just ease into it. Giving any vehicle with a lot of power a quick burst will result in the rear end gripping and lowering slightly. Can be easily seen on dragsters. Unless you are driveing a fwd vehicle, the front will drop.

Get something like this to hook on the steering wheel and the cuffs to remind you, you locked it....trust me...if you forget and drive away it will ruin your day.
...
Any time you attach something like a lock or charger, something not normal there's a chance you'll forget you did it.
How could you forget to take a handcuff off your steering wheel???

Okay - just ordered a set of the Master Lock Street Cuffs. Looks like a good solution that will be easy to deal with.
I think you will like them. Just attach one end on the frame (soft plastic inside the cuffs) and drop the other end on the floor when not using. Works out great.

Yeah I need to slouch a little LOL
As you can see Im not a petite fella
I wear a normal half helmet (mushroom head)and it fits under the top just fine
May try to raise the front an inch if it doesn't get all shaky as was stable up to the 65 I took it today
Most likely flat stock with a inch of height shouldn't affect stability too much and not look to bad
Yes it does make a world of difference in the heat of Texas.
Did 30 mile drive to shake down any loose connections and the roof was Hoooot!!!
As in when I lifted it my hand turned red in the brief seconds it took to exit the sling.
I either have to trim my double bubble and maybe get the lifting strut kit also .
Over all I like it and would recommend it to a friend !!Got the strut. LOVE it. Makes entry and exit drastically better. And you can sit and talk to people and the top stays up without having to hold it. Recommend the top and the strut to anyone. Wife was totally against a top but is now considering it for hers since she has now found out what it is like sitting in traffic all week at 95 degrees.

So Bill, good thing you weren't in OR yet when this happened
-
Mine are the 22" set. Length is perfect.
-
And the Jack Daniels tour is very interesting. Especially the samples.

Think I'll just stick with my Master Lock cuffs to keep people out and full coverage ins. for theft. Don't really want to fix everything people tear up trying to steal it and then give up and I'm not carrying around a logging chain.

Hey @Bill Martin, this was outside my friends front door the other day.
It was just over 8' before he blew its head off. -
They call that a kept man
Really can't complain.
-
I'm good with just about any time. Of course I'm basically retired.

I live just outside the city limits here. Actually 1/4 mile. Coming home last week there were 13 deer in my way. Seems several neighbors like to feed them and the deer are smart enough to know no one here is going to shoot them. Yet.

How about the weekend before Ozark and then we could just travel from AL to AR in a giant group for the Ozark Invasion.
-
Just remember one thing and that is that everyone does not trailer their SS to the events. The point being the event should happen in warmer weather than Oct. so that the those driving their SS can drive to the event. If it is a winter time event then you will only have trailered Slingshots at the event.
Yeah but Oct is fantastic weather here in NW AR. Would love to make the ride then!!!
