I want to do paint the center console and hood accents. But also just thinking of buying the parts. The list price is an arm and a leg. $1339 for the hood accents. Is there a place that has deals on these things?

Looks pretty good in the, not so clear, pictures @kev. @FixMyToysZach @cball86 from Ball Equipment in Richmond, Michigan seem to sell quite a few. I don't know rankings, but they host events and always have a good Slingshot owners showing.

Use the "round" idea.
Round 1: 40 people are entered. 30 dummy keys with 10 real keys in the drum.
The 10 people who select a key that starts the Sling move on to the next round. (Odds are 1 in 4) You could even advertise the odds of "starting" not winning
Round 2: 10 finalists. 9 dummy keys with only 1 winning key. (Odds are 1 in 10)
One caveat for this one..... As a safety precaution, have a different set of keys for Round 2. Try generic keys for Round 1 and actual Polaris keys for Round 2. This will prevent issues of people trying to memorize a feature on a winning key from the round prior.
This way, all 40 people get to participate at least once, with the dramatic effect building for Round 2.
Hell, I want to come down there and attempt to win this, lol. Do you stream you radio station online? lol
Just realized an important piece of information, indoor trade show...i'm pretty sure no running engines due to exhaust and safety. Someone pops the clutch and takes out 5 spectators and i get the wrong kind of media attention.

Divide the 40 people into 8 groups of 5 people.Each Group draw straws – short one wins that groups round and is eligible for Round 2.You can have the 8 Groups draw all at once or stagger the Group drawings.You now have 8 people ready for Round 2.Divide them into 4 Groups of 2 people.
Round 2
Like Round 1, each Group draw straws – short one wins that groups round and is eligible for the Final Round.You can have the 4 Groups draw all at once or stagger the Group drawings.Now, you can go to a Round 3 of 2 Groups with 2 people each OR go to the Final Round with 1 Group of 4 people.
Round 3
If you went with the Round 2 winners divided into 2 Groups of 2 people each, short stick in each Group goes to the Final Round.

I like this concept... at one point i had thought of a massive coin flip tournament bracket style like the ncaa tourney. Your concept works somewhat similar to that. perhaps something more interesting or exciting than coin flips or drawing straws?
This was going to be my thought exactly. You could purchase actual Slingshot keys for the extra 39, or go to Ebay for a cheaper option so that all keys look exactly the same, except for the cut of course.
Have one proper key, (ensure it works prior) then throw them into a large bin and have people pick the key out of the bin. You can have them pick in the order they were selected.
Gather your contestants from the call in for the big day. For a "random effect" utilize something like a Bingo tumbler. For every contestant, build the drama by turning the tumbler. Have people reach in blind and select one key. This way there is legit drama to each and every contestant. The excitement will build higher and higher until someone's key actually works.
Then........
WINNER!!!!!!!
The key idea satisfies not having anything disputed really well. The two issues I see or think are if the first person wins or even the 5th person it's extremely anti-climatic. The other is that I feel a lot of similar giveaways like this have done it and it's not the most original. That being said, it's an excellent fall back in the event we couldn't come up with something better.
I think point I think I have read about every radio contest that happened in the last 10 years trying to get ideas lol.

In a partnership with with a local radio station and a trade show event in Michigan, we are going to be giving away a brand new 2017 Slingshot live in Feburary on the last day of the show. (where and when soon to be announced)
Everything in set with a small exception... we don't know how to do it.
I'm hoping to get some creative ideas that could be used for consideration. I figured why not ask a huge group of Slingshot owners what the best way to give one away was. I'm looking for something that's fun, relatively safe, and outside the box enough to attract a lot of media attention.
Here's what we do know:
1. In the weeks leading up to the show, the radio station will be qualifying finalists (think caller 10 wins). During the show people will have the additional opportunity to qualify as well. Ultimately on Sunday we want to have 40-60 total people as finalists all with an equal chance to compete to win live. We plan to steam it on facebook live.
2. The time we have to do this from start to finish can be no longer than a few hours. So however people are eliminated, it needs to be quick. (rules out some type of endurance contest)
3. the space we have to do this in is limited... the booth is only 20x30 but there is a good deal of surrounding area for lots of people to float around.
4. However we do it, there has to be a clear and undisputed winner, I have nightmares thinking about doing this and ending up in a lawsuit because multiple people thought they won.
5. It also needs a name and the Rado Station wants it "Slingshot" related, some type of cheesy play on words.
So guys... 40 or more people, 2 hours, how do we get down to 1 person and give this thing away?

I Would guess the 2 possible windows to be Feb1 or April 1... in the past this is typically when Polaris likes to release mid year models and color packages.
Display MoreIt was truly a great time! Thanks Chris from Ball Equipment for making it happen! I truly enjoyed the event and the ride, and even the wave off when it started to rain at 13 and Woodward.
Looking forward to seeing everyone cruising today, tomorrow, and Saturday. Of course, the 10 of us, or I believe we had 15, will definitely be seen on Woodward between Downtown Detroit and Pontiac (you will find us somewhere). I have to stop off at the Lions game tonight at Ford Field, so I will be out before and after the third quarter of the game.
You will also catch us riding from Palmer Park to Belle Isle on Woodward, with the "Cruisin' the D" Parade at 6:30 p.m.
Lastly, I want to make a note of a few things:
The food was a nice treat! The guy taking the orders at the food truck was really nice (customer friendly).
Everyone with Ball Equipment shirts were really pleasant. I know one of the individuals that rides with us actually purchased his from you. I wish I would have, because the team appeared to understand that customer service goes along way. I will recommend others that I know that are interested in purchasing to check out Ball Equipment.

Lastly, everyone at the event was pleasant! Great Fun! Great Conversation! We have to make sure that Polaris is aware that the Michigan delegation of Slingshot Riders is one that they should keep an eye on! We are doing big things in Michigan!

I appreciate the kind words and I'm sure my staff does as well, we are all very passionate about what we do and I am very lucky to have a great group of staff supporting me.
