Anyone see the start of Bristol today? If you are watching, look at the lack of people in the grand stands. Does not look like the stands are even half full. Remember back years ago when someone had to die for you to get a ticket to the race. All that I can say is NASCAR has done this to themselves. I turned to the race just to see how many people are in the stands.

Another factor is that nearby hotels are charging up to 300 dollars a night, according to an AP news article I Googled from 2019. I don't think the prices have gotten any cheaper.8)

Not exactly, but close.. 4 republican and 2 independent...

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and several law firms filed the lawsuit on behalf of the six voters — four Republicans and two unaffiliated.

The petitioners include former Rep. Claudine Schneider, a registered Republican who represented a congressional district in Rhode Island from 1981 to 1991, and endorsed Barack Obama for president in 2008, Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020; Norma Anderson, who served as majority leader in the Colorado House and Senate; and Krista Kafer, a conservative columnist for the Denver Post, who said she would vote for Trump in 2020. Anderson left the Republican Party in 2021, but CREW confirmed to NBC News that she rejoined the GOP a year later.

    I sit corrected.

Whether they know it or not the left has handed Donald Trump, the axe that is at the base of the cherry tree that they have tried to grow. The one fertilized with bullshit.

Unknowingly they have actually created a modern day George Washington. Trump derangement syndrome has fully metastasized.

In a twisted way it’s actually amusing and entertaining to see raw fear and paranoia on the left. Faculty lounge academics so convinced of their righteousness yet nobody wants to come to class anymore.

    Timber!

It is interesting that people assume that it was those far left liberals that started all of this. The lawsuit that started this off was filed by six Republicans who are members of the Federalist Society.8) The Colorado Supreme Court, in a 4-3 vote sided with the plaintiffs. (The 7 members were all appointed by Democratic Governors over the years.) When, (and if) the Supreme Court of the United States takes up this case, it should be an interesting ruling based on how they look at the Constitution. 8)

Looking at the number of deaths per 100 K populations, there are 9 other cities with a higher murder rate than Chicago so far in 2023. (note these numbers did not count the number of folks wounded and survived, as well as near misses with soiled shorts.) My city made the list, not something to brag about, but hoping the numbers go down everywhere.8)

Mr. Weiss needed to be granted Special Counsel status because he did not have standing to even file the tax charges in Delaware after the plea deal fell apart. Now he can file his charges in Delaware,DC, or even California. Once he completes his re-investigation, and takes whatever actions he needs to take, he will be required to issue a full report on the matter and justify his actions. I doubt he will say he was doing the Bidens a solid. I am sure it will be an interesting read. Until then, I will reserve judgement on the matter and not jump to any conclusions.8)

Everybody in a managerial position has made a hiring mistake - Trump is not immune. You make my point - “investigating Hunter Biden for the better part of four or five years”. It hasn’t taken that long to bring down mafia Dons or drug lords. If he is not in the Biden bag for whatever reason you are not paying attention. At this point I believe a notary public could prosecute H Biden and get a conviction with the FACTS made public. I await your retort…

All I am saying is that it was odd to call Mr. Weiss a lackey for Joe Biden, when it was Trump who hired him to do the investigation. Perhaps that now he is a Special Counsel, he will do a good of a job as Mr. Durham. He will still have two misdemeanor tax charges on Hunter to file and maybe the gun application issue too. When you call someone a lackey, you should offer some evidence to prove your point. You have not convinced me that he is in the bag for Biden. Either Mr Weiss does not know what he is doing, or he lacks the evidence to prove other crimes have been committed. It may be the latter and not the former. Just because Mr. Weiss did not get the results you wanted, it does not make him a lackey for the Bidens. He just may be doing his job and following the law.8)

Does anybody believe that this Biden lackey will find any wrongdoing in his investigation?? This administration isn’t even trying to hide the corruption anymore. How much more “in your face” can they be ???

As I recall, Mr Weiss was appointed by President Trump who worked for AG Barr. Weiss had been investigating Hunter Biden for the better part of four or five years. He was held over into the Biden administration, so Joe could not be accused of interfering with a DOJ investigation. How can you call him a lackey of Biden when he's been investigating Hunter since the Trump administration?8)

Sorry for all the wildfire smoke down there. US Customs and Border division is having a hard time stopping it. 🤢🤢🤢.

And here I thought someone opened up a new steel mill here in Pittsburgh. The pollution index was at 232 parts per million at Noon today. I grew up between the US Steel Plant in Homestead and the Jones and Laughlin Mill in Hazelwood. Both mills are gone but I'm still here.8)

They could not use the phrase "found not guilty" or "found guilty" for any of the claims, as this was a civil case and not a criminal case. He was found liable for sexual abuse and defaming E. Jean Carroll. He was not liable for rape.
