Its probably one of the easiest forums to know all the rules....Don't be mean to anyone, Don't just run off at the mouth with curse words, And keep the dirty pics behind the locked door.... Those are Black and White rules.... If you see dirty pics and your not in the NSFW area... they don't belong..... And there is nothing wrong with using some high quality sailor words on the forum.... When you signed up you agreed you were over 18.... BUT If you see a member using the F word in every post then we will probably have a private meeting... :D

you all are a bunch of Poo Poo Heads

Wacha gonna do about that? :P

@gpcustoms I just found about what you are doing and just wanted to say thank you for doing what you are doing.
Long story short, My best friends lost a son to cancer. St Judes was there for them through the toughest part of their lives.
After what I saw St Judes do for them, I wanted to help. Now, I'm definitely not a person with deep pockets. I work very hard everyday for everything myself and my family have ever had. But, I have a lot of connections in the automotive aftermarket industry. Every year, myself and some friends organize several car shows, Jeep shows, and poker runs. All to benefit St Judes.
In the past 10 years, we've raised over 100k, and it's nowhere near enough to thank them for what they did for that one family.
I just wanted you to know how much it means to lots of people.
Hopefully you will still be doing this when I am all healed up and get my sling.
I hope you get back to 100% soon. God Bless.

What about just upgrading the stock one? I've used Spal Fans to upgrade other vehicles before. they do lots of different sizes and some can move up to 2000CFM.
If you find out the factory fan size, their customer support is really good, and can probably help you find a good replacement.

Probably stage 4. From what I have read it's kinda the best spot for holding the power and durability.

I think DDM has a solution. I will let him weight in on it. Maybe he can reply here in this thread.

Stage 4 is nice, but FYI, it's VERY touchy. It also can be very jerky on low rpm starts. The 3+ has a very similar grip, but is much easier to engage smoothly. Hope that helps.

Need to spend some money to buy a heavy duty clutch also. Mine slipped on me at 12 psi. Can't imagine what it will do with a 3 bar map and 18psi....

A few months ago I talked to Jason at Spec Clutch and was told they are planning to do a clutch for the Slingshot. I'll reach out to him and let you know the progress. They offer different stages so that you can pick the type of driving you are doing. Everything from street to autocross to full race. Usually 7 different options.
I'll let you know what I find out.

Hey I have no problem with sharing, if you know someone I'm interested in it to make it cheaper. I'm not a vendor I just look to cover my cost and it does not hurt do get a beer out of it. With that said I'm hesitant to post the dimensions because there may be vendors looking and learning and try to make $$$ of us.

    I totally understand that.
Personally, I come from the offroad community. We've been mounting stuff to tubing for years.
I've used these products and can attest to the quality and strength of them.

From what I've seen of your setup, this might be a cheaper solution. it comes in lots of different diameters.
    Parallel Modular Mounting Bracket

they also make a plain one... Modular Clamp Rings

as well as lots of other mounting options.
    Roll Bar

I have always just painted mine. touch up when needed.
    hopefully this is useful.

Home sweet home! Adventure complete, sling tucked away in the humble garage, boys nearly hypothermic. I have a little video too- once I figure out how to post it, it'll be up. Waiting to watch @Chubs video until we can do it as a family.

I love you guys, all of you, our extended family. Thank you for loving on us! Xoxo

Glad you guys are home safe. Now get to work. Your wife has a whole list of chores that need to be done! confused-squared

I'm sorry but other than the "because I can" reason ...which is a perfectly reasonable reason to do it...once.... that is ....IMO.... a really stupid idea ....

    .

It's definitely a "Because I can". That's what he does. The diesel part actually makes sense (somewhat). His company does diesel conversions. He told me that he's expecting 50-60MPG when done. He gets 40-45 in a Jeep with 40" tires. 50-60 is probably doable.
The cool factor would be high. A Slingshot Rolling Coal. Sounds interesting.
