Hey don't you have motors that need building?I bet some where out there a very old kid is just sitting in his shop wishing for a new motor!
Don't you worry your engine is being worked on as we speak!

We just received and unboxed our New Welter Performance 2.5 inch Supercharger Exhaust for testing with our Rotrex Supercharger kit.

I missed something???? Complete Price?
DDMWorks Slingshot Rotrex Supercharger Kit
Base Price is $4,900 for our Supercharger Kit.
What are you looking for ? -
The Cookie pan is actually an oil catch pan we use with the slingshot on the dyno so it doesn't catch the lift on fire.

We like to start our Saturday mornings with Donuts here at DDMWorks.
Here is one of @Dave@DDMWorks favorite kind. -
I am bringing good news with this post..... Many of the members want to see the true difference on paper between the supercharger and the turbo....
If I can keep my work schedule clear and make it to DDMWorks next Thursday or Friday we will be running my turbo SS and Dave's supercharged SS on the dyno and comparing the power output of both. I think the main difference is going to be where each one delivers power...
We shall see.
I kinda feel like i may be going into a one sided knife fight.... @Dave@DDMWorks and @Jeff@DDMWorks probably have that Rotrex blower turned up to 22PSI and fire coming out of the exhaust.....

Thought I would show off the outstanding product DDM Works produces. The punch it delivers is by far better than the looks it generates.
Looking good ! Glad you like it. Let me know how that show goes.

Jeff, did u re-use the stock bushings and ball joints?? Or replace them with new ones?
Re used as his are still good with low miles on them.
Nice work @chad warren !
-
@Jeff@DDMWorks have you gents found a replacement joint for the Slingshots or just using the factory units? If you have I bet you could make some good money on offering beefed up control arms with choice of powder coating colors.
Perhaps with some polyurethane bushings. I haven't checked to see if they are rubber from the factory yet.
The one we did was a straight remove and replace.
We are looking into better options . -
Punch marks can be seen here.
-
Oh, this is the Ball Joint Thread .... I thought ... Never mind.
I AM AN IDIOT . Need more donuts . Sorry guys. Got a little excited there.
But hey now you know how to press out the bushings !!!
So anyway, the Ball Joints.. The upper ball joint has a snap ring that you have to remove first. Second we used a little sleeve to cover the threaded part of the ball joint and persuaded it out of the A arm with an Air Hammer.
To press the new one back in we rigged something up in the bench vice. I will have to see if I have any photos of that process.
It was a similar procedure for the lower ball joint. No snap ring on that one. And if I recall correctly I used the Shop Press to get the lowers back in their homes.

Edit: Not enough Donuts this morning. This post will show how to remove and install bushings not ball joints. Please skip ahead a few posts for ball joints.
Went through my photos of the build and found some good ones for you guys. So its a big, dirty, old, shop press and we used some sockets that were close in size to what we needed. I later discovered that the larger chrome socket was a little to large so i found some small sections of pipe that worked much better than the sockets.
The smaller pipe is 3 inches tall, OD is 1.66, ID is 1.40. The larger pipe is still 3 inches tall OD is 1.90 ID is 1.65.Hope this is helpful!

So I wonder were u can find and buy the tool???
So that part number is what @Dave@DDMWorks and I ordered for the job but that is the one that did not fit the bill.
I will head out into the shop and get photos of my fun Press set up this morning.
But ya ... don't waste money on this tool. -
Do my head studs need checking.
@Jeff@DDMWorks I hope mine are snugged really really good. @kenny_h and @MACAWS and @Wrenchmn and several others will be chasing me this week.@rabtech I think your head studs might need checking but not the ones holding your engine together ....
I will keep an eye on the stock bolts but the ARP studs we run shouldn't be going anywhere.
Just so everyone knows, the ARPs come with instructions to Torque them down to 80 ft lbs in 3 equal parts so they are good and tight. -
The Moment a lot of you have been waiting for....... DDMWorks RED Silicone hose kits back in stock !!!
Slingshot Silicone Coolant Hose Kit
