Curious if you have reached out to the turbro manufacturers regarding necking the exhaust down to 2" right at the turbo outlet .....
Might be a whole lot of wasted work if you don't do that first....

You can also use a soldering iron if you have one to get the allen head bolt hot which helps loosen the thread lock they put on those.
.......
.....

.
Go for a nice long ride to get the transmission hot or take a soldering iron and heat up the set screw, it has some locking compound on it that if they used too much requires a little heat and steady pressure to break it loose ...

Promo vid with a give away...hmmmm
I got one for waiting on the recall;
https://www.facebook.com/PolarisSlingshot/videos/1727905860758385/
How old is "Alex from Slingshot engineering" .... like 18 ....maybe 20 ... explains an awful lot....
my dealer did not know about it last Saturday.........until I told him...... (Course, he did not get the headlight recall notice until AFTER I told him....... Polaris communication sucks
They get e-mails and notifications on their dealer network when Digital Wrench updates are available ......
But if they never check it or don't perform their system updates then.....well ....
But don't you know the forums are just full of rumors and misinformation....
.
I was going to have it updated to remove the reverse throttle limiter as that is a pain in arse but may even leave that alone for now.
The update does not remove it ...it changes it from fuel based to speed based so that it does not bog down while slipping the clutch or reversing up a grade ..
Still won't let you do J turns ....
.
Display MoreIs there anything we can do about the rev hang. It drives me crazy and it is so unpredictable .
You lift your foot from the throttle and sometimes the revs drop like they supposed
To,sometimes they hang for a few seconds
And sometimes they even surge.
This is by far the biggest problem I have with the Slingshot. I was over an hour on the phone
With Bob and sending him the ECM he is going to try to help
Don't know what year you have or if you have had the 2016 Polaris ECM update done but that completely solved the concern for me ..and is the reason Funinthesun had the complete update done (which necessitated a new turbro flash) If not I would have it done by your dealer before sending it off to the Wizard.
Bobs tune just made it all that much better .......

$500 more than the White LE for painted hood plastics and belt guard (but no black wheels) ...........
......
.
The rear sub-frame that supports the tail lights is bolted on square aluminum tubing with a single down-brace placed on the driver side of the fuel tank. The Roll bars are mounted at the rearmost part of the steel frame. If it was me I would want the wing to mount as close to the point where the aluminum and steel frame sections meet.
.
I see two sport bike style silencers and alot of stainless
From elsewhere:
" it is a 2" aluminum coated steel it travels through the drive shaft and It is completely wrapped in heat wrap, as it exits the tunnel it coverts to stainless steel then a few more bends to a Y pipe finally to the dual Hot Body mufflers."
.
How does it look underneath?
............
One of the techs said they're the same as a RZR rack and not used to the mileage. Like REALLY!!
Well....it does not match any of the current model RZR part numbers, is significantly longer, and has a straight shaft gearbox ..... doesn't mean its not the same manufacturer (who makes on road automotive steering parts for many manufacturers) but the "same" as a RZR is not exactly correct ..... unless his expertise extends to "yup...that's a steering rack"...
.
Which is too bad....because there are a couple companies that offer "heavy duty" ...."automotive grade" replacement racks for the RZR's.......
.
..............
.
JRI adjustables .... run different setting depending on temperature, load , and attitude ...
.
.
Its coded to a single ECU and no good unless you happen to have a dyno in your garage and a tuner who knows what they are doing on retainer .....
or not....
Otherwise its a $1000 to watch the pretty numbers flash across your laptop screen .......
.
.
The white 16.5 LE has been out for like a hot minute .....are they really bringing out another one .... if so Polaris marketing is the most F'ed up I have seen in a long time ...how many want to bet it comes with another price increase .....
.
.
I don't believe there is a single production unit on the road ...just the one test top.........
