    First thing I would do is disconnect the cable to see if it is a frozen cable vs a caliper issue. If it's in the caliper, I'm sure a good used one can be found really cheaply and you'd have yourself an extra $700 or more for your favorite beverage while doing the work yourself

    I read the warning label on those "little blue pills" that said you could get an erection that lasted over 4 hours. I still don't understand why it's listed under side effects and not under the list of BENEFITS.

  • Thought I'd pass this on (helmet argument)

    Not to derail this thread so soon, but it does tie in to the point of these helmet laws. Too many Police departments come out with THEIR argument that they're job is to save lives. They usually use that line of BS when it came to seat belt use, then more invasive, when they allowed police to stop a vehicle just to VERIFY that a seat belt was being used - not like the original laws about needing to drum up (I mean pull you over for another infraction before you could be cited) If that's the case, why do some states believe that bike riders have their choice to wear or not wear a helmet? Thankfully, Florida is one of those states.


    Plus, if their job is to protect lives, why aren't they peeping into everyone's bedroom at night to make sure that condoms are being used? Don't condoms protect you from spreading STD's? See where this BS is going? What's next? Do they outlaw bananas since people have stepped on their peels and fallen? We've lost our rights to decide for ourselves one law at a time. When is it all going be enough?

    We're so lucky that Biden did his research into Global warming - I mean Climate Change. He is hellbent to totally ruin the fossil fuel industry and eliminating the coal industries to support the Green New Deal. Even going so far as to eliminate gasoline burning new car sales before 2030 and incesting BILLIONS of YOUR TAX DOLLARS into electric cars.

    Due to the lack of business from the Covid 19 situation, a small business owner had to make the tough decision on which employee to let go. He only had two - Jack and Jill, and they had both been with him since he started the company 15 years ago. Both served a valuable service to him and the company. So he asked his wife to help him decide who to let go and who to keep. She said that she had one option for him that would take him of the hook of having to make the choice on his own. She said for him to go to work real early the next day and wait to see who showed up FIRST. He could decide then to inform the employee that he had to let them go. There would be no fights since it would only be the two of them in the building. She he decide to give that a try.


    The following morning at 6:30, Jill walked in through the front door. The boss called her into his office. He said to her that he is in a very tough situation and the only way out of it is to lay you or Jack off. Jill was startled by hearing this. She looked him square in the eyes and said, "well you had better "JACK OFF because you ain't gonna lay me"

    Dang Rab. If you had posted this sooner, I would have gotten off my @$$ and made sure I finished some things on the Slingshot and the trailer so I could make it there through the rain or no rain. I'm gonna have to see if i get get enough done to be able to make it there. is Allison going or are you going solo?

  • Computer reset

    IT DOES WORK.I tried it on my slingshot this afternoon and was shocked how much better it shifted. Of course I had three beers while it was doing the reset. I wonder if that had anything to do with it? I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it goes back to shifting normally once I purge the beer from my system. I wonder if the clutch will last longer this way now?

Updates started with the hood last fall, panel cut and all the black is sanded and now black pearl. I added the red carbon fiber belt guard last fall too. The rest was done over Christmas thru January in my spare time. I did some lights for the foot wells, and a light for the glove box. I had the PRP seats reupholstered locally, and he did a great job. Stereo has been completely changed. I have the BOSS head unit (waterproof), SSV side boxes and behind the seat hoop enclosures. The front speakers are Kicker 6.5 components, the rear are Rockford Fosgate 6.5 Pro Punch. I also added a JBL powered 4x6 under the seat sub.... amazed how much power that sub puts out! Yes, it's not a 10" or 12" behind the seat punch, but it sounds really good and I didn't lose any storage. That's huge for me, as we travel in ours.

    And finally, American Racing rims, 20's all around, with Lexani tires. They are rated at 280 treadwear, extreme summer, and stick better than any tire I've had on my SS so far.

    I know - there's a LOT of mods, but the first words that come to mind are great seats
