I picked up an air horn off Amazon pretty cheap, $15. Wasn’t expecting much, but it had to be better than the stock? Boy what a surprise it is incredibly loud I doubt it’s 150 DB…. But pretty damn close! Super happy with the purchase, highly recommended. I painted it black and was able to sneak it up just behind my grill.

As I’ve been getting older I’ve been having a little more trouble seeing the radio screen on the Slingshot, so instead of getting new glasses….. I just put a bigger screen in!

Nice job!! Are you upgrading alternator as well? If not I do have one of these new in box for $60 shipped if interested so you can up the voltage on the stock one. I was going to use, but swapped ALT instead and don't need now - https://customelectricservice.…xtGr1O3sYFMtjRmUnwEIdQbFs
Thank you Steve, I am going to be getting a hi Output alt. Just weighing my options For exactly what I need.

I did The big four upgrade on my sling today, that’s were you upgrade the ground off the block to the chassis, the ground from the battery to the chassis, and run a wire from the alternator to the battery + and the engine block to the battery -. I left the factory wires in place in the engine bay and added zero gauge wire for the upgrade.
I did this in preparation for adding a large stereo system.
This finally solved the problem I was having where the engine would stumble when I came to a stop, never stalled but droped down to around 500 rpm then back up to 900rpm. It also seems to start quicker and have more power. It was a bit of work but absolutely worth it.

all right here we go back on track!
I was able to get six slings together to do a robe to dinner and a sunset picture, and we had dinner at Yucatán waterfront bar and Grill in Matlacha, then we went to the the same spot in Bokeelia I got that awesome pic last year. Unfortunately other people had the same idea about the picture😒. We were able to find a decent spot over on the side to fit all of us. We had two new slings join up with our group which made for a funner ride.

We have a Town here in Florida named Howey In The Hills and the do have hills. Located in Central Florida.
i’ve been through Howey in the hills on the way to visit my aunt and uncle in Eustis. Nice Rolling hills up in that area, one of my favorite places to ride. Beautiful place to live Canegrinder.

Save that ride info so you can lead me around that loop next Jan 2022 when we come to Port Charlotte.
100% EJ. I’m working on a few other ones that are a bit longer. Here it is in Google maps for anyone interested in going. (Not sure for how long the link will last)

Decided to do some exploring today, looking for some new Roads to set up rides for my group. Got a nice loop set up out of Port Charlotte Florida. One of the legs has some nice corners with banks on them you can take about 50+, another leg as a bunch of winding roads and a hill, yes I said a hill here in Florida... well at least that’s what the sign said😁. And the last leg some more whiny roads and a wooden bridge to my surprise.

Cool! What material did you use to print?
Been jonseing for a 3D printer for years, but afraid I'd spend my time designing useful little tidbits for my music studio...
I used PETG, then primer and sanded the hell out of it, and a good rustoleum paint job. First one came out incredible, second one still a ton of sanding 😁
I have had my printer almost a year now, one of the best investments I’ve made. I find there’s so many little tidbits as you stated that I need, and I didn’t even know I needed them! LOL -
Amp in! Down to rewiring the front pods and finishing the sanding on the seconded speaker pod for the back ( I 3/D printed the speaker pods to hang from the roof system).

Took the sling out on this chilly evening (89°) to meet my aunt and uncle for dinner at Applebee’s!

I switched to Royal purple about 5000 miles ago, I was getting a terrible wine after traveling at highway speed‘s, and intermittently around town. I read several post saying the royal purple will help, after about 100 miles the wine disappeared 100%. Super happy I switched to Royal purple.

Took serenity to work today... can’t wait to get off and take her for a little Ride! Yes I work at a gas station, prime parking.

We have some severe weather coming through today so I had to cover her up and leave her in the carport.😩

I didn’t want to get sucked back into this thread it’s feeling A bit passive aggressive? I do get on it within reason and safety! I put 12,000 miles on my first year, it’s a daily driver. Short of the Pedal Commander, 1320 V2 exhaust, silicone hoses, aluminum expansion tank and short shifter ( One of the best mods in my opinion) all the rest of my mods are for looks. And reiterate I have absolutely no problems with my brakes. My Slingshot breaks as good if not better than my C5, I must be lucky with my production model, because I’ve had zero problems with it. Just changing the fluids and tires.

Bill thanks for the informative update. I’ve been pondering the purchase of the brace after reading previous articles but I have never had any trouble on my 2015 sling’s breaks. They are solid and not springy whatsoever. I was wondering if I would even notice a difference.. i’m probably going to hold off on buying, thank you
